Basilio Inn in Galesville is the oldest restaurant in existence on Staten Island. The restaurant was first established in 1921 and was built within a carriage house that was built sometime around 1850. Although the restaurant has received plenty of updates, Basilio Inn boasts plenty of old-world charm that pays homage to the building’s rich history, which enhances the inviting and cozy atmosphere. The menu also features Italian favorites like the calamari fritti, pasta e fagioli, fettuccine al prosciutto, pesce del giorno, piccata al limone and the petto di pollo ai funghi. Area diners love Basilio Inn because of its combination of delicious cuisine, friendly service and authentic Italian flavors. It is a great place to go whether you are dining solo or with a group of family and friends.
