Spanish tapas with a southern drawl. We are open 7 days a week, and serve brunch every Sunday from 11:00 - 3:00! We source our ingredients as close to home and we are vegetarian, gluten-free, and vegan friendly. We offer live music with The Kings of Jazz every Thursday from 7 until 10. We have two seatings for the show - one at 6:00 and another at 8:00. We kindly request the 6:00 seatings return their tables no later than 7:45 in order to accommodate the following seating. While we offer some bookings for the later seating online, if you would like to make a reservation for the first seating please call us at 843.577.5393.

paella is a rice dish that originated in its modern form in the mid 19th century in valencia on the east coast of spain. paella was originally a laborer's meal cooked over an open fire in the fields and eaten directly from the pan using wooden utensils. the main ingredients for paella are rice and sofrito (a stew of garlic, onion, and tomatoes cooked in olive oil). the name "paella" comes from the old french word for pan, paelle, which is a derivative of the latin word patella. what distinguishes paella from other rice dishes with meat, fish, and vegetables is the saffron that grows amply in spain. during the cooking process the paella will form a char on the bottom of the pan known as socarrat

Barsa had excellent tapas. The portions were great for the price and the wine selection was immense. The decor is lacking greatly and the service was very slow to begin with, even when the place was near empty. I will be back though for the food was tasty.

Nice place. We had grilled octopus, Brussels Sprouts, and paella. First two were good the paella was good not great. Server was very good.

They do not take into account your request for a specific table, even if you show up and the table you want is available. Super annoying. The food usually makes up for having to sit next to the bathroom in an empty restaurant.
