Great place! Amazing staff!
Needed more staff and a bartender. Waiters were bar tending and serving.
Delicious food and very good service, but a bit pricey for Mexican and the size of the servings.
I recommended this place to my date and he was floored and over the moon with the authenticity. Never disappointed with the food or service!
Love the service. Food was okay, not really expensive but still not worth the price. Wraps too small for filling, portions are off. You can get better Mexican elsewhere, however I’d come back just because the service and ambience were great
Good cocktails and drinks, atmosphere and service. Tacos were expensive and tasted average at best.
The brunch is absolutely amazing! The french toast has been dubbed "downright cake" by some. We're now making this place a regular spot! Wonderful.
Delicious food, cool vibe but we were welcomed by a very unwanted guest under our table... a snake! The staff were trying not to make a scene as one of the servers noticed a SNAKE under my friends chair. Instead of telling us what was happening, I had to ask what they were looking at only to find the serpent on the ground. After my friends and I were clearly disturbed, the staff made no effort to comfort us nor did they offer any compensation on our bill. A little acknowledgment for the inconvenience should have been the bare minimum we should receive in a situation like this. Super disappointed by this and unfortunately it’s enough for us to not return..
Overall pretty disappointing. Had a dinner reservation for 8 people, showed up and they sat us at a couch with a coffee table as our table for dinner.... after speaking with the manager we were moved to a proper table. Then waited 20 minutes for a server to come, and then another 35-45 for food. Food was tasty but portions were tiny. Beautiful patio but likely won’t be going back.
The hostess staff seemed either a little overwhelmed or a little inexperienced as when we arrived they seemed to be shuffling people who had already been seated around. It was fine with us as we wanted to sit outside but I saw them ask a group of women something, and then five minutes into us sitting outdoors both wait staff brought them their drinks and their food outside. We also saw them do it with another group. It was just very odd.
Otherwise the food was really amazing and the drinks were even better. I ordered a papaya margarita and it came with a shot of tequila in the shell of the papaya lit on fire. A small but cool experience!
Also the patio was amazing!!
Food was good but nothing special. It took over an hour before we were served our food! Not sure if this is a normal occurrence or not, but I wouldn’t go back because of that.
Fabulous menu, our group of six shared appetizers and then had different main courses, a great variety of tacos, all delicious especially the haddock and pulled pork. The food was delicious and well presented. We got a nice welcome on arrival and the service was first class, very pleasant and helpful in describing the dishes and help in pronouncing them! A very good selection of drinks, we had beers but will try the margarita's next time. We sat on one of the patios and thought it might be a bit loud with the traffic on Queen St, this wasn't the case at all and the décor outside and in is very authentic. Our new favourite Mexican restaurant in Toronto!
While the food was very good the huge chip in one of my guests ( first timer on our recommendation) plate was unpleasant. The lamb is superb , enchiladas are tasty and the drinks didn't come fast enough.
Great place - been here a few times and it never disappoints.
Where’s the meat? Food was “ok”. There is just too much competition out there now. It was not that tasty. We expected more. Service was good though.
First 5 minutes when we arrived, hostess did not acknowledge us... we told we had reservations...did not seem to matter. Service was slow at beginning, no plates, no cutlery on table, water glasses were dirty. First impression was not pleasant.
Enjoyed mid-week dinner with friends. The food tastes great and was good value. I especially enjoyed the burrito bowl.
We walked in, and it was definitely not busy at all. Inside had probably 1 table. No one acknowledged us at all, so we walked closer to the bar and noted that we had a reservation (although clearly not needed).
The bartender (I think) noted host will be with us... we waited... a host came- didn't look too excited, sat us in the back patio (as we requested). Again- did not seem like she was having a great night..
The food was pretty basic... the guac was great- as was the chips... but again- very basic- nothing that I would go back for and pretty mediocre..
The patio was cute, vibe was super chilled, our actual server had more of a personality so that was nice..
All things considered- I would say good for a casual impromptu drink in the neighbourhood if you are seeking a patio, but not for a Sat night dinner... or any night dinner for that matter...
I don’t see my points for this booking?
Great location, great service, good food.
I think that music wasnt well selected, inwas expecting more of a mexican atmostphere but there was nothing mexican except food
We had a great time celebrating my husbands birthday. We enjoyed all the food and drink options and it accommodated the vegetarians. Really delicious and patio seating in the summer is a must. We will come back.
Definitely worth a visit. Delicious cuisine in a delightful atmosphere. The margaritas are top notch.
Amazing patio. Food was really good. Long drink list. Upstairs seemed dead, want to make sure you are downstairs or outside.
Fantastic margaritas! We enjoyed all our food, and the patio was lovely.
Good solid Mexican food. great patio and drinks and music.
Great Little spot with nice ambience. Definitely worth to check out.
We had a party of 10 and were very well taken care of. The staff was friendly and attentive, the food was very good, and the atmosphere was very fun. Overall, we had a great evening.
Everything was delicious
the food came out fast
It tastes like real Mexican food
With 2 patios open and filled to capacity as well as the tables in the interior and an upstairs room also full, the kitchen could not keep up. While there were more than enough waiters to look after everyone, they had to wait with the rest of us for the food. At one point, not one table on the patio had anything to eat. When I asked about it, our server said that everyone had just ordered drinks. It would have been preferable to provide extra guacamole and tell the truth.
Hope that this evening was an exception and that next time, the kitchen will be staffed appropriately.
We went here for brunch and it was our first time at the restaurant. The food was great! I would definitely go back!
Wow. Amazing. I tried four different drinks that were all delicious. The chips and salsa were very authentic. Everything was on point. Congratulations to this Leside gem
Great patio & tasty cocktails . Unfortunately let down by very slow service nearly half an hour to wait for our booked table and we had to ask who our waiter was as we were sat down for ages without anyone coming near us . Reasonable priced food, cocktails very good & with their price .
Waitress who worked at the upper dining area was as amazing as the food! Really good old school music (don't expect Mexican music lol), but that's our kinda scene. Definitely would come back!
Had a decent time out for a birthday as a small group. Food was tasty, but a little pricey. No acknowledging the birthday girl and a lot of arm twisting for couple of small churro logs as a birthday treat. Never came with the dessert list for the rest of us. Don't know what the fuss and high ranking is about.
This is a super cute mexican resturant in the east end, very pretty inside and out. The patio's are gorgeous, main portions are good size, the taco's are small as per usual. The service was fair, in the sense that everything came in orderly fashion etc.. However honestly our server had a bad vibe from the start, she was moody, not a positive atmosphere, it was just super off. She mustve had something going on because her body language was off, and it seemed like everything was difficult for her to do. She did do it, for example getting water, getting lime for the water, but she was frustrated and weird about it. Then when we asked for separate bills she tore the first one up, ripped it from the folder, it was super unnecessary and a very uncomfortable dynamic. That made it strange.
Great space, really good service, and food. Fresh tortillas and chips, guacamole was awesome, as well as their speciality drinks didn't disappoint ! Overall a great experience !
My sister and I were in the area for a concert. We had a wonderful experience sitting on the patio as it overlooked a park and the people watching was great! The staff was very very friendly, they gave great recommendations and the food was superb. The cocktails were also delicious and generously poured.
Mother's Day brunch...
Food was excellent if huevas divorciados is your thing, non alcohol margaritas are overpriced but fairly good; we were seated inside but on a sunny day nothing beats their patio. Music was too loud for my ears but my daughters loved it... Dynamic Spanish salsa sound makes for a nice atmosphere, decor and plates matched the whole thing.
Despite bad reviews re: service, we couldn't complain at all. I'll be back to have breakfast here or real margarita on a warm summer night.
