Barrel House offers a unique farm to table experience in downtown Sausalito which celebrates local seasonal ingredients and sustainability in a beautiful setting.

Barrel House focuses on letting the ingredients shine. To this end, Barrel House supports local farmers and organic practices due to their amazing quality as well as being harvested at their peak of ripeness.

Barrel House will feature barrel aged and classic cocktails. Its wine menu highlights California winemakers. Barrel House will have rotating local micro brews on tap as well as wines on tap. Additionally, we will be hand crafting our own sodas with seasonal fruits.
Barrel House features furniture and woodwork that was handcrafted using reclaimed black walnut and curly maple trees. Every seat in the Barrel House has sweeping views of the Bay and an outdoor deck that sits right over the water.

It was a gorgeous day and the place was predictably packed. We got the window table we’d reserved for after se real minutes waiting for walk-ins to be seated. A wait staff treated us and disappeared. Several minutes later a second wait person greeted us and seemed to be aware that we’d be left for a while. Service improved and we were served 2 3” crab cakes for $29. There was a garnish of a few sprigs of arugula and a little dripping of sauce. We shared that and a salad which was a bit more generous in portion size. Wine by the glass was ridiculously expensive but we were entertaining a dear friend from out of town. We’re locals and probably won’t go back. The view is amazing of course and probably worth it for non-locals.

This has been my 4th time to Barrel House Tavern and it never disappoints. This is my first time in the Summer on a Sunday and with a reservation and the place was packed which affected the service but not that much. I will be visiting again and recommend to all who want good food and a great view of the bay!

Since the welcoming the experience was outstanding. Our waiter Jeff took care of every detail, he took the dinner experience to the highest. Ordered pork ribs, cole slaw, carrot cake. Recommended! Coming back for sure.

It was a nice night and we had a great view sitting on the back deck. Unfortunately, the service was terrible and the food was expensive and not very good. It is really catered towards tourists. Not a good place for locals. We probably won't be back.

Definitely make reservations as it gets busy fast. If just two of you, I recommend asking to sit on the balcony. Fantastic views of the city. The staff is very courteous with great suggestions on the menu. Photo shows splitting steak sandwich and mushroom ravioli. The steak was so tender and the ravioli is as delicious as it looks. Cocktails a must: Bloody Mary, vodka martini, and Chardonnay. When you’re finished, you can walk around beautiful Sausalito.

We had a 7 pm reservation held by a credit card. Didn’t sit until almost 8 pm. Asked to talk to a manager and never saw one. Didn’t get served drinks for about another half an hour. We did not leave the restaurant until about 9:45. We are from out of town and we thought this would be a good choice, but it was really way longer wait then we thought and no one seemed to care. I would not go back again sadly

Beautiful spot with dramatic view. Great interior design and feel. They need more servers but overall great. I will go back but budget time for a long meal. The servers are knowledgeable and gracious. The comped us extra drinks for the wait. See you again soon!

I had a wonderful meal at this place with a beautiful view of the San Francisco Bay. The food was great—especially the pork chop and mushroom ravioli, which were both delicious and cooked just right. Overall, it was a satisfying experience with good food and a lovely atmosphere.
