Weve been before and it was great this time was not good at all. We ordered drinks (savannah bay runner) they were terrible. Our burgers and fries were cold and the chicken in my salad was pink- our server never asked us if we wanted replacement drinks or how our food was. He did get us salt when we asked but he seemed to be extremely busy.
Last time we had an amazing, the food was fantastic and so was the service.
The food was great but I had to ask for a refill on my drink after the waiter had already come by an seen that everyone at the table needed more.
We had dinner and it was delicious. Everyone in our party of 6 got exactly what they wanted. The mashed potatoes were to die for! There was an extensive list of drinks too.
Food was excellent, great selection of choices. Our server - Ashley - was great at helping make the best selections and was very attentive.
My seafood trio was very good! Scallops were incredible! Love that we could have alligator tail for an appetizer, not something that you can get too many places. The service was a bit slow I will say, it took awhile to get our bill at the end. Be prepared for a service charge on the bill if you have a larger party, which I don’t mind but no more tip gets added if you already know how much you get and don’t work for it.
We had a wonderful meal and enjoyed our dinner
The fish did not taste fresh however the shrimp was really good. Good service
Those French fries were amazing!! Everyone was pleased with their meal and it was a great place with a lot of menu options!
McKenzie and Rainy were wonderful. The food was delicious. Enjoyed ourselves tremendously. Not tourists in a tourist dominated restaurant. Will recommend
Fantastic place! Great service and food. Convenient location with nice views of the river.
Fun and family friendly
This was our second visit to Barracuda Bob’s. We were there 2 years ago and couldn’t stop thinking about how good the food was (particularly the Pepper Jack Cheese fries). On our way to Florida for vacation, we decided to stop for the night in Savannah and have a second visit to Barracuda Bob’s. The first time there were sat in a booth in the bar area ( kids were 12 & 14). On this second visit we asked her if we could sit in a booth in the bar area and she said “only if everyone in the party is 21 or older”. Our girls were not. I looked back in the bar area and there were 2 booths with children younger than our 14 & 16 year olds...but we didn’t argue about it. We sat in a booth in the dining area. The ambiance was not as festive as the bar area (no music just loud talking), but it was fine. Our waiter seemed to move slowly and seemed a little irritated, but the service was good. We once again ordered the pepper jack cheese fries and they did not disappoint. My husband ordered pulled pork sandwich and said it was the best he ever had. We all took a bite and it was delicious. The rest of the table ordered the Bob’s Cobb, a ceasar salad and chicken fingers. Everything was excellent and the prices were very reasonable. Would recommend to a friend and will be back when we visit Savannah again.
The service was fine. Everyone was very polite and helpful. One chicken sandwich came out undercooked and it was corrected quickly. However, the food was not great. “Meh” comes to mind. It was not worth what we paid.
I was disappointed that they were out of the calamari appetizer, which is one of my favorites. The food is always good, but the server was less than thrilled to be there.
Dont bother making a reservation, the hostess said she saw my reservation when I checked in but still made us wait an additional 30 minutes and let people in front of us that didn't have a reservation. We ended up walking out and eating somewhere else. Never will go back.
It was good. Server was nice.
So read some good and bad reviews. Food was good but nothing grand. Fries were burnt and not edible. Waiter guy had zero personality. Would I go back? Nah
My husband and I ate here two years ago and it was great. Our second time back was a different experience. The service was poor and we barely saw our waitress. The restaurant wasn’t busy at all. We ordered the crab dip as an appetizer and the waitress told us they were out of it as she brought our entrees. We had a party of 5 and 4 of our dishes were cold. The waitress said 5 is a large party and they have a hard time cooking for a party that large and keeping dishes warm. I had the tuna tacos and they didn’t have any flavor. I’m very disappointed because we really enjoyed our visit two years ago.
The general atmosphere was good, nice old style all brick cellar surroundings, food excellent and service great.
The food was excellent and the place itself was cool! We loved it and would visit again and bring friends!
The food was great but was cold maybe they waited to bring it out i had fish and mash potatoes so i didn’t complain but next time i will have them bring food out when its ready not wait on other orders
The staff was very informed about accommodating my gluten allergy.
My shrimp were way over cooked and for the price I expected them to be larger & my grits were the absolutely the worst grits I have ever had. My sons pasta was pretty bland & certainly not worth $17-18. My husbands crab cakes were good but his asparagus were pitifully small. The waitress was awesome & the atmosphere was good. The best thing I can thing about our meal was our appetizer, fried green tomatoes. They were delicious & the ranch was really good.
It was a great plI hadace, right on River St. The food was terrific - my husband loved the steaks and I loved the Spicy Pork tacos!
Daughters 25th Birthday.. Rainey was our waitress and was very good. She was personable and very attentive. The food was excellent. Yes I would return for another meal!
good. nothing wrong but nothing special.
The service was great, we boyh ordered hamburgers and side. Very good, very filling, really enjoyed good and server. But, we ordered lemon drops, which was not per say on there menu, the drinks were undrinkable. The bartender obviously had no clue. Our server asked bartender to fix, bartender didnt know what shw was doing. You are in Savannah, you expect a good tasting, drinkable cocktail.
The people were fabulous! From the greeting at the door to the server, they couldn’t have been more hospitable. It is unfortunate that the food was lackluster. The seafood trio was inedible...too much Old Bay Seasoning, the shrimp was WAY over cooked, the mashed potatoes were bland and the salad was swimming in dressing. Cuban was good as were the loaded fries.
We would probably not recommend or return for food, but the friendly staff might entice us for a drink at the bar.
Staff was friendly. Food pricey for the quality. Server nice but distracted. Charged me wrong amount. $100 under charge. Did not provide corrected copy of bill. I had to provide step by step instructions. Did not check my Open Table reservation which meant Open Table thought I was a no show. Server didn’t bring crackers for lobster until asked, twice.
The Server was great. Hostess appeared to have idle time and could have used it for better customer service
Salads options were excellent and filling.
Fried alligator excellent with delicious sauce
Tortellini dish very tasty
I had the trio (scallops, shrimp, & crabcakes) off the specials menu and it was very good, however, my husband had the low-country boil and he said it was awful. It was underseasoned and overcooked. The manager let him get something else (not off the specials menu) so he got a burger and he said it was just ok (he only ate half). The music was too loud and our waitress was overwhelmed (even though it wasn't busy). Would not go back.
Service was fantastic as well as the atmosphere. It was a bit warm and we were not aware they didn't clean the shrimp the way we are used to. The steak was perfect.
thank you to Barracuda Bob manager, hostess, and server for treating our party of 11 to a fun and delicious lunch to celebrate our daughter's graduation. They were ready for us, they were attentive, and the food was really good! everyone enjoyed having a break in the middle of the day's ceremonies and we really appreciated when we had two in our party come really late and they didn't hassle us, but just took their order when they got there. Excellent time! Thank you!!!
The bartender had blue hair and could care less about helping us. She was unpleasant to say the least. Our server was Jeff, he was clueless about his job. The food was ok, but the sloppy, half-assed service made it not worth it. So many places to eat in Savannah, this one you can skip!
Went with a group of friends for dinner. Service was great and the food was pretty good although nothing really stood out to us. Would go back.
Food was great. Not too pricey. Service was outstanding. I’d go again.
Came to River St, for good seafood, crab stuffed mushrooms were delicious and hot. And the seafood trio was perfect for two. All the seafood was fresh, well seasoned, and delicious. Our waitress was sweet as well. Two thumbs up from this couple.
Eaten here before and still would return. Food was good and a great location
The wait staff was friendly. The inside was pleasant but there was a movie on the television that wasn’t appropriate for families. The menu looked appetizing. My chicken was okay but nothing spectacular. Couldn’t do any better for a wait time
