Really amazing; food and service was stellar
We've been to Barnzu before, and every time we have such an enjoyable time. They are taking every COVID precaution and we greatly appreciated it! The mushroom bimimbap is delicious and the servers are so friendly and polite.
It was great!
Lovely experience!
Okay Korean food. Excellent service. Expect solid over all service but way over priced for portions everything else...
The staff was suburb! They were prompt and attentive. They were so polite and did not even notify us they had closed. They stayed open 1-2 hours past closing for us. We had no idea! Food is great!
Everything was delicious. We had bimbimbop
Exceptional service!
Delicious food - especially the pancake, pickled radish, and fried chicken. Mule Cocktail deserves special mention!! Fun/cozy atmosphere and super attentive staff.
The food is freshly prepared. The wine/sake list is on the expensive side, undoubtedly to support the income of the establishment. The pancake was good, if under-filled with seafood. The short rib was plentiful, though surprisingly mild for a Korean establishment. Overall it was a good meal.
They accommodated my group of 10 for my birthday with no issues even though the place is not too big. They had great service and the food and drinks were amazing! I would definitely recommend!
We sampled a few dishes and all were pretty delicious with a good spice factor. Definitely recommend the 8 pieces fried chicken for sharing. Also good to note, all of the cocktails are available in non-alcoholic versions which is pretty neat.
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Barnzu. The menu was interesting and provided a variety of signature Korean dishes while highlighting various techniques and flavor profiles. The staff was very attentive and provided excellent service. The bevaerage options were also a highlight with both cocktails and sake/soju options.
We enjoyed a very tasty late dinner on a Sunday night. The restaurant was busy and lively but not terribly overcrowded. The spicy edamame appetizer was the most memorable dish -- much more interesting than the usual steamed and salted edamame. The kimchi and noodle dishes were also fresh and nice. The servers were prompt, efficient, and friendly. I definitely would go back the next time I am in SF.
Great spin on Korean favorites. Very high quality ingredients.
The service was above and beyond well!
Fantastic food. Service very good.
Food and service were excellent
We had both types of fried chicken, kimchi trio and charred brussle sprouts. Everything looked fantastic but lacked flavour and those punchy Korean flavours. The three kimchi's were all very different in both flavour and texture... good. The chicken was more sweet than anything else and somehow didn't taste like chicken. The brussle sprouts were instagram ready, but once again, flavourless.
It wasn't a matter of salt, it was a lack of flavour.
Not all menu items were available, including the salmon tartare; and the wine recommendation was just plain wrong.
We cancelled the other dishes we had ordered and finished our night elsewhere.
Add to this, at 8pm on a Thursday night, the place was near empty.
Great staff, not great food.
Would I return or recommend Barnzu to others?
Unfortunately not.
The service was fantadtic and the food was very delicious like a Korean traditional food. And the price was affordable.
The food was AMAZING! Great service, and cool atmosphere. But the food was exceptional! Everyone ended up sharing each other’s food and loving every bit. We will definitely be back!
Lovely! Food was delicious and staff were very attentive and sweet. We went there for an anniversary dinner and they brought us out complimentary cake. Would recommend Barnzu.
Fantastic as always!
Great food and service. Only downside was that it took 15 mins to get seated. The chicken wings are excellent
Great food. Will be back soon.
Food was absolutely delicious, servers were kind and informative about the dishes. And I’m in a craze for their JokBal!! So soft and tasty.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Such a welcoming staff! Their greetings were enthusiastic and recommendations were all excellent. I wouldn’t recommend it if you have kids who are on the picky side. We had a teenager with us who left and was immediately looking for less spicy alternatives! (Oreos did the trick) But my husband and I loved all the items we tried. The bar is quite limited and wine overpriced, but food made up for those slight issues. Try the Korean version of arancini, and of course, the Bibimbap.
Fantastic food
Beer and wine selection were very limited. The food was not what I’d expect for high end Korean foods.
Staff was warm and welcoming throughout. Team effort but still felt personal.
Buena calidad relación precio. Muy buena atención en mi primera vez en un restaurante coreano.
We had a fantastic time for my birthday. The staff were so nice and polite to us. We will come back again. Such an inspiring experience and elevated dishes. So Fun.
Sincerely,
Julian Hill Garfolo
Food was hit or miss. Sashimi salad was unremarkable. Kimchi arancini was tasty. Soup tasted like slightly salty water. Kimchi fried rice was served barely warm. Korean fried chicken was good. The pig trotter special was decent. Overall, poor value. We all left hungry and dissatisfied.
A new favorite! We were 30 mins early for our dinner having found, against all expectations, a parking spot across the street. They were gracious and were able to seat us in about ten mins. So, so delicious. The 5 hr pork shoulder was so melt-in-your-mouth delicious! I recommend the sweet & spicy fried chicken, a perfect balance of flavors, and the beef pancake with the bonito flakes. We'll definitely be back. Note: parking can be HORRIBLE. Take BART and walk, or take a cab.
One of the best restaurant
The food was amazing, very cool industrial setting, great service!
Food is not the typical Korean BBQ/Spicy. The presentation is nice but the food is blend.
Amazing food - unusual and accommodating for different dietary needs. Creative and delicious.
We had chosen the wrong main course - slow cooked pork is not my favorite. The starter was spectacular which is a proof the the kitchen would have been outstanding. Definitely worth a second visit once we’re back in San Fran
Super delicious and high quality fusion Korean food. Highly highly recommended (coming from a Korean!)
