   We returned to Barndiva Gallery and Bistro because they put their fantastic burger back on the menu. Unfortunately the burger wasn’t even 1/2 as good as it used to be. I ordered medium rare and it came out medium, the meat quality is not as good as it was, the fries which were once delicious are now like bad Mcdonald’s fries. Our friend made the mistake of ordering the “pizza” which should not even be on the menu, it was inedible.....a chunk of bread with a little sauce and cheese. Service was good until they had a large party to deal with, entrees took way too long after 1st course. We had to ask where our entrees were in order to have them delivered. The restaurant was not full and they could not handle the customers that were there. Cocktails were good, maybe we’ll return for them but they don’t serve the delicious popcorn that they once had anymore. Changes are definitely NOT for the better☹️

   This is the place where Barndiva gets rid of their second rate wine, service and atmosphere felt like a poorly executed event space converted to a restaurant. Disappointing. Would not recommend.

   I'd recommend Barndiva with caveats. We went on a weekend when they were holding a barbecue (Memorial Day), so the regular menu was replaced with a different a la carte menu and no service (you ordered and paid up front, then food was delivered). I knew this going in, so assumed the menu would be different but the quality would be as good as what I knew about their traditional menu. Wrong. We ordered one of each dish on the menu and they were, at best, just ok. The fried chicken was fatty, the lamb in the lamb shwarma didn't taste like lamb, the Fattoush salad was sad, the falafels were dry. And the portions of all were incredibly small, esp the salad. It was $6 for what amounted to a couple pieces of lettuce, some cucumbers and some stale croutons. So disappointing. I wasn't expecting the regular menu, but I was expecting something a bit more elevated.

   This place is great for what is was intended for - events. Everything from the decor to the food is trying too hard and lacking. We love Barn Diva, but will not be back to the Gallery.

   Sunday night price fixed dinners in Barndiva used to be fun place and well attended by locals. Not any more. Food portions went to extra small and wine corkage went from non existent to highest in Healdsburg. Not going to go back. Sad, another good initiative bites the dust.

    My husband and I went in for prefix Sunday Supper. I have dietary restrictions and the chef created an amazing dairy free meal for me that was every bit as delicious as my husbands . Very impressive wine list and great wait staff. Really enjoyed the old film clips projected on the wall. A must try!
