Best waitress and the food was delicious. But the bestest was the quiet atmosphere. We could hear ourselves and our friends conversation
the last two times I ordered chicken in my salad it was so burnt that they had to redo my order..I thought it was just a fluke the first time, but it happened again..
My family ordered cheeseburgers and loved them.
This is one of our favorite restaurants! The food and service are always excellent. Quality in both instances.
the food and service are always excellent at Barley's on 119th. Highly recommended.
Very good food selections for both adults and children.
One of our favorite places to drop in for dinner. The service and food are excellent. Highly recommended.
Really not great for what should’ve been fairly simple considering our order and that they weren’t busy. Chicken wings were far too coated and spicy. Turkey burger tasted like frozen patty, nothing special. But eh it was food and we were hungry. However, the Biggest shock was the response of manager when he came by our booth to see how everything was and we said fine but casually commented that it would’ve been nice if our house salads came out earlier than the hot/main dishes. Said he understood that five star dining typically bring out first (five star??? Even chili’s or longhorn bring a salad first) and then he blamed it on us that we should’ve specified to our server to bring the salads early. For the high cost and overall disappointment- I doubt we’ll ever come back.
My husband and I went to Barley's while we were in town visiting some family. We ordered the Bavarian pretzel appetizer, which was my favorite part of the meal. I also got the ahi tuna salad and my husband got the fish and chips. Nothing especially extraordinary, but the atmosphere is fun for a casual dinner and a few drinks.
Extremely poor food quality. Was not able to eat our food, server took full plates back never asked if everything was OK. Pictures on Open Table misleading doesn’t match with anything we experienced. Dirty sticky tables. Our first and last time.
Great food and drink. Priced right. Excellent service.
Great service , food was average and price is a little above average.
Been many times and this was not up to the usual standards.
This place always has excellent food and service. The price is reasonable and the quality is outstanding.
always good food and excellent service. priced right
The food is always good and the service is, too! It is a neighborhood gem!
Trout was dried out and tasted strange. All of my meal was cold—fish, vegetable, and baked potato. Server never came around to ask how things were. Had to flag down someone else to ask them to microwave the food. However, but then, it was too late. Very disappointed.
The food was good, the mimosa was even better! Staff was friendly and I was able to watch the game during brunch.
Love this place! It is always good and the service is outstanding.
Barley's has a huge variety of drinks for every taste. The food is great. Prices are very reasonable. The service has always been friendly, efficient, and great.
The menu is varied and everyone enjoyed their food. The service was excellent.
Birthday celebrations for our Men’s Group
Great beer selection. Fish and chips good. Bruschetta so-so. Would have preferred crispier and thinner slices.
Great value, food, and service! Casual fun and dining at its best. Love this place.
I go to Barley's often and have usually had great experiences and is one of my favorite places close to home, but we made a reservation for 10 people on a Sunday at 2pm and it was not the normal experience. We were put in the room in the far back with two large tables. Normally this would have been fine but our table had something sticky all over it and the other table in the room was dirty and food was thrown all over the floor and chairs all disheveled like a kids food fight just ended. As we looked at the menu we were told they ran out of burgers (at 2pm!). My husband asked for a 2nd drink and never got it, and it was his bday so it was a bit disappointing and it took quite a while to get water refreshed or service. I wanted some of the people in our party to try Barley's out since they hadn't been there before and we go often and like it, but they left that day with no plans to come back since their first experience wasn't great.
Our group grew from 10 to 12 and we were placed in the private dining room, which was perfect for our business setting. Sean was fabulous at taking care of us, especially with 11 separate checks! Love the Chopped Salad!! It is the best, especially when combined with sweet potato fries. Yummy!
Great service, great food, and reasonable price. One of our favorite places.
This place was really disappointing, we sought it out because it is one of the few places in the city that has Belgian beers on tap. They were out of two of the five beers we tried to order during our time there. We got fried pickles to start and they came out cold we sent them back and they came out warm but still not hot the second time. Then we had the same problem with the Fries on our fish and chips, they were just cold. We ordered two sausages and one of the ones they brought out was the wrong kind but at that point we were tired of sending things back…Our waitress never once said I’m sorry about the missing beers or terrible food experiences. I really wanted to support this restaurant so we are disappointed.
Aubrey does a great job taking care of us! Food, service, everything was delightful!
Excellent experience as always. Service was very good.
We always enjoy Barleys. We prefer the 119th location for its size and convenience, but also like the Midland location. Their pork roast is wonderful, and I love the meatballs on polenta.
Food was great as always. They’re always busy on Friday nights but this Friday they were exceptionally busy and even with our reservations had to wait about 20 minutes. But the hostess was great and got us seated as soon as she could.
Our server was friendly and prompt. Brunch was delicious and our group of 8 had no complaints!
We met friends here for Restaurant Week. The mac and cheese balls appetizer was great. And the desserts were great. My sea bass was very fishy tasting and the outside was overcooked while the inside was undercooked. The accompanying risotto was good, however. The restaurant had a cozy bar feeling.
Disappointed as the restaurant advertised a New Years Day brunch Turned out to be the same menu as always - nothing special
Great brunch and a good selection of drins and beer. The service is good and the place was very quiet for brunch as it was nearly empty.
I was surprised that they were out of so many draft beer options. The waitress didn't seem to be very well versed in the various types of beers and offerings which was unlike what I have seen before. The ribs came out nicely, but the fries were fairly cold and unseasoned. One of our friends got the fish and chips and was actually sick later that night, but it's unconfirmed if it was the food or something else. The seven hour roasted pork was mediocre. My son was a fan of the chicken strips. Their wasn't really any audible music playing in the restaurant, I would expect some music. Overall it wasn't as good as I have had a Barley's in the past, so I am hoping for an improvement next time.
I like the large booths where you can have private conversation with friends. Food is great. I get the cheddar ale soup every time. The waitress gave me only a partial serving of my drink though - the bottom of the keg I later found out.
Took my out of state son here for supper. He likes his beer and was surprised the number of beers on tap. The food is good and the wait staff was attentive. Good place for supper,
I come here all the time but I sit at the bar. Usually I have superb service with an amazing meal. However we were really disappointed with the level of service we had. The server was slow and didn't check on us often, we had empty drinks multiple times and our coffee was ice cold. We didn't see a server to ask for a fresh cup and there were multiple times where the server would walk away while we tried to order. I will still come back because I love the food and the bar staff.
