Inspired by the parrillas of his native Argentina and the hip enclaves of contemporary Buenos Aires, Chef Javier Bardauil brings the art of live-fire cooking to Detroit at BARDA — a modern steakhouse where ancestral traditions meet out-of-this-world innovation. This is one of the best restaurants I have ever experienced!! The food was wonderful, the cocktails delicious and the staff engaging, welcoming and excellent. It was so good , we came back the next evening and had the same perfect experience!!

Wow. This was such a treat! BARDA is now one of our top two restaurants in Detroit. First of all, the ambiance when you walk in with the sunken in bar, pool style tiles, and red neon lighting was wicked. The service was excellent. And the food. Wow. We had the steak tartare, pork, trout, and burnt Alaska. The steak tartare and burnt Alaska were 10/10. Absolutely incredible food all around. I cannot wait to take more of our friends here when they visit from out of town. Thank you to the entire staff for such a treat 🤍

Food and service were great. A little loud but great energy. It was our first time dining here and we will definitely be back.

Very cool ambiance, hip music, nice vibe. Very limited entre menu. Surprised there was no pasta options. Very pricey (Steaks were $70-$75) and appetizers (Burratta $27, cheeze and asparagus). Drinks pricy ($15-$20/glass). Very a la cart. No bread offered with meal (paid for toast), no empanadas offered (very typical for Argentine dinner), authentic chimichurri and salsa criolla. My wife and I spent over $200 with tip, and she didn't have a steak for dinner! The area is very secluded (only restaurant around), so drive in, drive out. They had a cool outdoor area with a fire pit, have to try in summer.

The food at Barda is outstanding. Everything we ordered was delicious. The prices are high, but so is the quality and the service. Well worth it for a special occasion. We will be back.

The whole experience was lovely. The ambiance was superb. The design of the restaurant was fantastic. The style of service was attentive but not snooty whatsoever. Totally my kind of restaurant and one I believe can be enjoyed by anyone. The spacing of tables to move around was comfortable. Bathrooms were super clean and props to your hostess for checking them! Also, the capacity of Barda and amount of employees running a smooth operation was ‘on the money’. Overall impressed from a guest perspective and fellow industry worker. The food, is incredible. 10/10 easily. We housed the scallop ceviche, mushroom, potatoes and the flan dishes. Everything was a home run. A powerful menu. I will be back and try more. Unfortunately my memory can’t recall the name of who took care of us behind the bar (I apologize). Absolutely lovely cadence and conduction of themselves and service . Felt very welcomed. Thanks for the great experience and sorry for such a long review!

We had an extraordinary meal and experience at Barda. The staff and service were excellent - attentive and friendly but not overbearing. We ordered the Steak House special (Thursday's only) for 2 for $100 - 4 courses -so delicious. One of the best steaks we have ever had.

Excellent cocktail, I ordered from the house specials and was extra pleased. The food was delicious, I ate all of my two plates: Roasted carrots and Trout. The flavor combinations in each dish were exceptional. The service was friendly and attentive but not intrusive. I had a great meal and enjoyable time, worth every dollar. Truly a great place!
