This was a bank holiday Friday lunch so quite quiet and I can’t comment about pre theatre or concert. We sat by the window overlooking the lake with fresh late summer air coming in, so excellent ambience. Food was good and fair value for the City and the service was excellent. We will be back. Recommended.

Very friendly and attentive service. We had a table of 11 for a team leaving lunch, and all enjoyed it and were very complimentary. Will dine here again.

This attractive venue overlooking the main Barbican lake has gone through various reboots over the years. The current set-up is in my view the best for a long time. An attractive menu with attentive service. I'll start going again more regularly now!

Bit of an issue with the booking but the venue solved this seamlessly by moving us to a later time (but only slightly) which was much appreciated. Food was great, atmosphere was good. Had a cocktail I had had before (Mary Pickford) was my favourite but this time came as a slightly lesser version of itself - it was still good and the cocktails are reasonably priced. Food also reasonably priced with the £31 set menu, a few options to upgrade where people want to. Happy with the experience!

Nice meal pre theatre. Although not overly busy when we arrived the service seemed somewhat erratic. We ordered olives pre starter which didn’t arrive until after our starter was brought out and a glass of champagne, which like the olives, arrived after the wine we ordered for the meal had already arrived. The food however was lovely. Starter and main both delicious.

New offer at the Barbicon. Menu was limited but food was good and service was quick and personable. Our only main complaint was the awful lighting (being in a historic building, apparently it will be addressed in time).
