   We shared two appetizers which were delicious. We shared the arugula, blood orange salad also delicious and then had the smoked fried chicken. The service was attentive but not intrusive. They also have a good wine list. I definitely would recommend.

   Always amazing food at Baran's 2239. Took a friend (her first time). We had the Wagyu Carpaccio, Zucchini, Oxtail Gnocchi, Mushroom Pasta and Bread. Food is so wonderful, and their staff is friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommend.

   I didn't realize this tiny restaurant in a strip mall was such a gem until recently. I definitely was looking forward to coming back after my first visit in February. The food is made to perfection!

    Fabulous food and selection. Staff was friendly and responsive. Small venue gets a bit loud and hard to hear when full, but didn’t impact our experience much.

    We loved everything...the service, the food, the ambience and the size. The wooden chairs are quite uncomfortable and the wine corkage seems steep. Otherwise we love it. We will be back and bring cushions.

    One of the best restaurants in the South Bay. We loved the maple apple salad and the croquettes —both were great starters, and we shared the smoked/fried 1/2 chicken as a main course which was out of sight. The focaccia bread, which they make in house, is fantastic. The service was excellent and the casual atmosphere makes this a terrific choice for any day of the week.

    Went here for Valentine’s Day for the first time but have been wanting to try it out prior. So glad I finally tried it! Food and Service was excellent and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

    I don't know how they do it, but their food just keeps getting better and better -- and it's always been fabulous! Nothing on the menu disappoints. Every dish we ordered was better than the last. Service is always spot on and so friendly. We absolutely love Baran's. It's a MUST GO...and frequently, because their menu always has a few new things to try.

    We were thrilled with our experience at Baran's 2239. The service was excellent. Our server anticipated every need, nailed the timing for every interaction with our table, and perfectly spaced out our dishes. We started our dinner with glasses of their pinot noirs and the red onion & herb focaccia bread with herb & park butter. I loved the Irvine Roberts pinot noir and thought the focaccia was the best I have ever had. Next was the maple apple salad, which was so flavorful and delicious. The pan-seared sea bass and smoked & 1/2 fried chicken were amazing entrees. Still thinking about our food and service experience here. Perfect place for a date or special occasion. We plan to return!

    This is the best restaurant in the Southbay. However, I think we prefer the summer menu. I miss cantaloupe salad, the yellowtail ceviche, and the lighter lovely pasta from the past summer. I could have that dinner over and over again. That being said, the sea bass was excellent! The wine and beer choices are always fantastic and the staff fabulous!

    The food was AMAZING!!! Beautifully fresh food that was prepared with the utmost care and precision. The owner Jason was so friendly and welcoming. The plate sizes were perfect. Just the right amount. The sea bass was to die for and the wagyu filet was amazing. I would recommend getting a selection from each course, for the opportunity to enjoy ALL the amazing flavors. We will absolutely be back again.

    We had nieces and nephews visiting from out of state and wanted them to have a taste of the best local cuisine walking distance from our house. They were not disappointed. Every starter, veggie , entree and dessert was delicious and we were grateful for the uphill walk home. The service was great as well. So glad we have such an outstanding foody spot so close to home

    Food was superb. We came in on a weekday night so it wasn’t crowded or noisy. Parking in the plaza wasn’t busy on that day either (but I can see it may be different for weekend). Hip but tasteful interior design, staff very friendly and efficient. Would definitely come back when we can.
