The restaurant was very busy the evening my husband and went for dinner, due to multiple conferences being held at the resort at the same time. It was very loud and crowded, but the staff was top notch, and did a great job staying attentive, even with the high volume of people. The lobster roll I ordered was delicious, I just wish it was bigger.

Took over two hours to complete our meal. It was about 30 minutes before anyone came over to our table to take a drink order or check in. The food was fine, and the server was nice when they came over.

I did a search for mediterranean cuisine in Carlsbad and this restaurant came up. It reads: “offers rustic, Mediterranean shared plates, curated cocktails and delicious light bites in a timeless Spanish-colonial setting. Influenced by his Israeli roots, Chef Adam Solowitz’s eclectic menu reflects European flavors and the fresh lifestyle of coastal cuisines. At the heart of the menu are their quality organic and local ingredients, many of which are grown within the grounds of the resort itself. Signature dishes include fried chicken gyros, meatballs with chickpea ragout and steamed clams and mussels that feature resort-grown pink peppercorns and fennel. The award-winning flavor-origin cocktail menu remains the essence of Bar Traza’s allure. Sip twenty-four uniquely profiled cocktails that encourage you to embark on a cocktail discovery both comforting and adventurous.” The menu sounded amazing and I was excited to take my husband. We arrived, were seated and the menu didn’t have any of those items. It was a regular bar menu. Turkey club, Caprese sandwich, fish and chips, pastrami, etc. I would’ve left, but it was already 8:30 PM. So confused and disappointed! The server was nice but service was slow, even though it was almost empty. Besides that the food was terrible. I had a 1/2 caprese sandwich that was bland and tomato soup that was cold. I really don’t understand the mixup with the menu. Unless something changes, I don’t recommend :(

This is a great place for a quick bite in a wonderful setting. Service was attentive. Food was good and experience was the best of SoCal living. Seating was quick and friendly. No wait. Had reservations.

There is a new menu that is very good. And the new dessert with chocolate and mouse cake is amazing. BUT...do not go if you like dark beers ( not including Guinness.) They do not carry porter beer or milk stouts which for me is a no go.

Noisy, hard to have a conversation. Limited Menu. Food was average and little to choose from if on a low cal/carb/no red meat diet. Nice place with view. Did not have our reservation for 4 so had to put us in the bar area. Cold, wore our jackets the entire time.

This is a nice place to have a quiet lunch inside the Omni La Costa. Our lunch was good and the portions large. Service was top notch too. Depending on where you sit it can feel like a classic bar lounge and like a resort with a view.

The waitress was nice and friendly but the dinner came and soup was cold, before anyone came back to bring me a spoon. Even after they took the soup back and heated it up, it was pretty gross also. The buffalo wings were very soggy and pretty gross. They brought us a bottle of wine but it was turned so we didn’t drink it. We ordered coffee and it took forever because she said she was making a new batch but it was really gross and watered down. We asked for sugar and it took about 10 minutes so the gross coffee was cold by the time we got it. The waitress took the soup off of the bill but forgot to take the turned wine off so we waited another 10 minutes or so for the revised bill and it made us late for our escape room. Overall yucky food and bad service. If someone asks for a spoon for soup you should probably just go get them one instead of attending to other tables before you come back. If someone orders coffee and needs sugar it should not take a total of a half hour to accomplish that. Spent over 100 dollars and left there hungry, sick to our stomachs and late even though we gave it an hour and a half time to eat.

A beautiful location overlooking a pool and golf course. I had the Ahi tuna and wife had the fish tacos. Both were excellent! The service was great. It was not crowded going on a Tuesday evening.

I never submit reviews, but this was kinda shocking. Salad was bad, like out of a bag from the grocery. Salad dressing preparation was circa 1993. “Flatbread” was not a flatbread. Tomato paste on uncooked pita with prosciutto cooked like it was bacon. Prosciutto is cured, not to be cooked. Pleasant setting though.
