It was fantastic.
Nice food and services, view.
My family love it.
Thank you so much!!!
It is a pleasant surprise for our anniversary brunch. Services were extraordinary, everyone chip in and assist quite professionally. View and ambiance is also exceptional. You are also free to work around a huge resort and golf club. There has been some issue with our order, but they fix it without any hesitation. I had a little challenge at finding the parking lot. A little more sign of direction for first time visitors would be nice. We were not the only ones got lost in the nice huge resort.
Way overpriced, especially the salads. They weren’t fresh, you could tell the arugula was sitting in the dressing for a while, wilted and pretty gross. Can’t believe I paid $20 for that, shame
Great food, great views of the golf course. Staff worked very hard to please.
Always ask for Roberto as your server! The best:)
The setting of Bar Traza's patio looking out over the pool and golf course is just gorgeous. Our server, Melanie, could not have been nicer. The food however was disappointing. My breakfast potatoes were overly salted and tasted pre-made. The "bacon" used in my country omelette were light pink salty chunks of what looked like ham - which I had to remove - instead of just using the delicious crispy bacon they served on the side. Another person did not enjoy the fish tacos. It just wasn't the brunch any of us were expecting, especially given that a dinner we had had at the main restaurant at La Costa some months ago was truly exceptional.
I came with 3 friends at dinner time on a Thursday. We were sat at our table promptly, as it was quite empty. The server lacked any kind of charm or polish. We ordered drinks that took a long time to come out. We asked for water, which we received 15 minutes after asking for them and we’re never refilled. After we received our food, no one came out to check on us. Our table was wobbly and we asked our server to fix it 3 times before he came with a wedge to put under one of the legs. I understand things are different in Covid times, but this is supposed to be a 5-star resort and it wasn’t remotely busy. I was thoroughly unimpressed. I tipped 20% purely out of obligation.
Old friends gathered for lunch and a spa day. The service was impeccable and the food delicious.
Lunch on the patio, overlooking pool and golf course on a beautiful Sunday. What could be better?
Bar Traza has great views. The food is good but very limited. Not enough selections on the menu.
Not the special venue I was hoping for for a friend’s birthday lunch. No attention was paid to my special reservation note (what’s the point of having space to write a note?); the hostess was gruff and unwelcoming; service was slow. Our busser (Jose) was wonderful and our server (Carlos) was really nice. Overall, the food was just okay and the ambiance was lacking. I’m sure it’s adequate if you are a hotel guest, but as a local who wants celebrate a special occasion, skip it.
It took 40 mins to even get a drink after being seated…
Dining outside is quite dark/dimly lit. The food is good!
Very dissapointed! Food was terrible! We would have had a better hamburger at In N'Out.
Nice setting (outside), good service, friendly staff, but the food was NOT good. Again, very disappointing for a resort of this caliber ....
The food is spot on every time! Service is great, especially since the dining area is sprawling on multiple levels. Best kept secret in North County. Shhhh!
Food was average. Great location for a casual dinner
Tables overlook pool and golf course, nice view of mountains, casual patio. Mediterranean menu was a refreshing change from Mexican
Service was efficient but not jhurried. Would come again.
Great ambiance, food, and service! We had a great evening with a wonderful view of the golf course.
Fabulous service! Delicious food! Would totally recommend!
Beautiful place. We sat outside. The ambience is amazing during the day.
Jesus provided excellent friendly, and informative service, very well done.
Nice menu selections, we enjoyed the fish tacos and grain and salad with salmon.
Would recommend, and we sat on patio near the pool.
Outside dining for breakfast, we enjoyed the service, very friendly from the young lady with the pony tail and hat, sorry forget her name
Enjoyed the special eggs benedict
Food was super bomb and the drinks had just enough of a kick where the price makes it worth it
Very good food and service
Good food. Nice staff and fun views. Very nice when staying onsite.
Friendly staff, good food, fast service. Would like to see expanded food options as the menu seems limited
Had a wonderful meal with my family here. Great outdoor seating, nice and relaxing. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful.
Great meal, but limited entrees to choose from. Service was great.
Great restaurant with outdoor dining overlooking golf course and pool.
Very little vegetarian options
Perfect setting for a family of five with a baby in a high chair and a toddler.
We love it from the food to the service. Excellent.
The ahi was basically a poke bowl with sweet rice yuck. The shell fish on orzo was very chewy and oily. The shrimp caesar was pretty good.
Breathtaking views, exceptional service & delicious food!
Always a treat and delightful experience!
Fast service. Sat outside on the patio. Plenty of heaters and a nice view.
Food actually was not great.
Go for a drink
Not so great.
Lovely! Will be back!
We sat outside on a wonderful raised platform outside and had an incredible view of the golf course and hills around LaCosta. Bar Traza is a hidden gem in this giant resort - perfect for a light dinner after a full day of activities or a drink and a snack in the late afternoon. We are locals and enjoy the ambiance and the menu, which is limited, but has great portion size and like all LaCosta food, is 5-star. Wait staff was attentive but not hovering, food is great - but the view will get you everytime.
Nice outdoor views and comfortable surroundings. An awful lot of babies and small children for an adult beverage bar.
This is the second time we’ve gone there for lunch. Although it was only on the dinner menu this time, they graciously accommodated us and served their DELICIOUS Ahi Tuna bowl (served “poke style”). They further accommodated us by fixing it salad-style over lettuces, rather than over sticky rice. We also love their olives + almonds as a starter! We brought another friend, who was also impressed. We shall return soon...and often!
