Bar Crudo - Divisadero St
Bar Crudo is a very pleasing and worthwhile experience. I am left without any grievance to complain of, which is unusual in the local dining scene. Food was consistently enjoyable and well-prepared, and service was always at beck and call without being intrusive.
Crudo for two is the best. Octopus was very good. Bonnie and Danni great servers. If you don't appreciate shrimp, bacon, and hot peppers, give the seafood chowder a miss.
Love the food
Great place to have a unique dinner. If want to have an enjoyable experience with extraordinary food, this is the place for you. I would recommend it, specially if you are looking for fresh seafood delight.
I love Bar Crudo and try to eat here every time we are in San Francisco. Fresh ingredients and amazing flavor. I also enjoy the interesting wine options. Highly recommend.
I was pretty upset that the restaurant knew it was my wife’s birthday and did not provide any dessert and did not even mention anything until I brought it up to the waitress
Thoroughly enjoyed it. Celebrated wife’s 40th and were pleased with about every aspect. Would have liked a few more dessert options but Bi-Rite was right across the street so it was all good.
Amazing raw seafood
Everything was literally amazing. Our server suggested a terrific wine from Etna. The seafood could not have been any fresher or better prepared. I brought a close friend from NYC (and they of course think everything is better there). He was blown away. The uni toast is off the rails. Wow.
This restaurant has NEVER let me down. The food is fantastic. The people working there are so amazing and attentive. This is always my go to place!!!
We like two of the four crudos we tried. We ordered the peel and eat prawns. What a disappointment! They were cocktail shrimp that reminded me of dinner parties at my grandma’s. The branzino was very good. There was only one dessert options so we went to bi-right across the street for ice cream. I don’t feel the need to return.
Oysters were delicious. Mussels were fantastic. Uni toast is a must have! The crudo plates were the least memorable. I should have just gotten more shellfish. Finished the meal with the whole Branzino which was excellently done. I would definately recommend this place to any seafood lover.
The Slayer, the best server, she knows how to pair their wines and foods and her services is absolutely lovely.
Absolutely fantastic food and atmosphere!
Great food, great service!!!
Great food and excellent service regarding dietary restrictions.
Portions extremely small, bread colder than room temperature, scarce explanation of menu by waitress. I spent $ 200 for 2 but left still hungry. The quality was very good.
Way too noisy. I woke up with a sore throat. No intimate conversation.
The very best oysters and mussels we have ever had. We shared a fabulous lobster salad and the Seafood Chowder was to die for. Exceptional meal, outstanding service!
Great food and friendly staff
Bonnie S, my awesome server, entertained me, chose lovely wines for me and kept my spirits up as I waited for my terribly late date! Also, once again, extraordinarily lovely and fresh food, the Crudo are sublime!
Fresh seafood and friendly service will do the trick . You will love it .
Dat branzino soooooooooooo gooooooooooooooooooooooddddddd
Excellent oysters at a great happy hour price of $1.50 each. They were small, sweet and succulent! Nice wines too for $5.00. Definitely worth the drive. You must have a reservation if you want dinner because the place is very small. The Whole fish special was much better than the red snapper, even though both were good.
The Seafood Chowder is out of this world. Hands down the most impressive menu item. Their beer list is rock solid and the raw food (crudo, oysters, and such) is amazing but falls just shy of the Seafood Chowder. Would eat again.
Always amazing. DO NOT miss the seafood chowder. It’s life changing. Seriously.
This place never disappoints, one of the best fishcentric restaurants in the Bay.
This is a fantastic place. A gem of SF with delicious artistic food, hip environment and outstanding service. In my top 5 for the Bay area
The entire experience was great from the immediate greeting walking in the door to the attentive and helpful wait staff to the delicious food. A must go to place!
Great service, food was very good. Expensive and loud. Nice wine and beer selection.
Fresh seafood served in a lively (noisy) environment.
We found our entrees (lobster salad, bronzini) to be well prepared and tasty.
The oysters were fresh ... we liked the New Brunswick selections better ... personal preference.
Our overall experience was good, not great. We've had better presentations elsewhere in a more relaxing environment and at more reasonable pricing.
We had an excellent server. The seafood was very fresh and it was seasoned with creativity. I would definitely return.
We are in the Bay Area for our 1st anniversary and a good friend recommended Bar Crudo. Service was excellent, Food was also amazing. We had the Crudo Sampler and the Large Platter. The wines list was well thought out and interesting.
My only complaint was with another dinner and his inability to not yell when talking. This is a busy restaurant and loud but not to the point where you need to yell. I might also just be getting older.
We had high expectations and were excited for Bar Crudo. The menu was small, which I generally like -but in this case the menu was one note. The raw fish “crudo” was uninventive and bland and the vibe was rushed. We felt hurried from the moment we arrived and were left mostly unattended thoughout our meal looking for someone to order more food and wine. Our server gave us very little information even when we pushed for clarification on portions and the dishes, and was very little help. For example I asked how large is the cup and or bowl of chowder. The answer in a sarcastic response was a “bowl is two cups”. Traveling more than 200 day’s a year I appreciate quality over quantity when it comes to food, but Crudo takes it to the extreme. The price point is pretty much rediculous.
Super fresh seafood. Oysters are amazing. Great wine list and draft beer list as well.
We went as a group for a birthday dinner. The server was Very pleasant and accommodating. Every single bite was a tasty treat. The chowder was unsurpassed.
This has been and continues to be one of my favorite restaurants in SF!
Love this place. Amazing chowder, crudo, and oysters. Dynamite!
everything on the menu is amazing. oysters, lobster, and soup are delicious. happy hour is the best for cheaper bites and wine, but dinner prices are totally worth it as well. YUM.
Excellent food, however, this restaurant should advertise that it does not have a full bar and that you cannot enjoy a drink at the bar before or after your meal. I found their policy that only walk-ins who want to eat at the bar can sit at the bar to be offensive. We made a reservation, confirmed the reservation by phone and arrived early to enjoy a cocktail before dinner. We were told we could stand near the bar but not sit at the bar. Very strange and the hostess was militant about explaining their system. Otherwise, the waitress did a great job in guiding us toward excellent menu suggestions.
