    Our table was sticky, the burger was not very good. Mac and cheese was extremely bland and dry. Service was great otherwise, there are much better restaurants in the area.

    Very good food and drinks. Music was way too loud to allow for conversation. Server was pleasant but food was poorly timed and sequenced, with mixed up orders.

    Server barely came over, food was cold and burger was red when we asked for medium. The espresso martini tasted like chemicals and was definitely not espresso but cheap cold brew

    Delicious food; great apps especially charcuterie board It was a very busy Saturday night so service was a bit slow… our server had several tables with large parties…. She did a great job though Ambiance was just ok… it was very loud and hard to have a conversation at our table Drinks were also very well done

    I do not recommend this restaurant. The hostess was rude. The restaurant was very noisy and both meals ordered were not good. Scallops were undercooked, gritty and under seasoned. The chicken pasta was gluey. Our server was good but he couldn’t save this experience. There are much better places to eat in Newport.

    Loved everything about this restaurant. The only thing that we disliked was the loud group of women who were right behind us but we were getting the check at that point.

    Wouldn't bother going back; most of the warm appetizers were deep fried; no mussels available; scallops thin and overdone on a gelled not creamy risotto (too long sitting?); second main was sauced squash ravioli (cold!) with overcooked chicken; our clam chowder never showed up so we asked to be removed; premium brand martinis were good. Music was far too loud; several guests asked for it to be turned down...they moved tables to try to get away from the sound. Waiter asked about quality of meals and when advised both were cold, suggested getting them "rewarmed" - over done scallops rewarmed? Lol!

    I was very happy to have found Bar and Board. Our experience was great. We all really liked our entrees. Our waiter was very pleasant young man and service was great (quick). Would strongly recommend to others.

    Loud and hot. Food was ok, but service was very slow. Restaurant was about half full. Waitress was very friendly. Overall ok would try other Rey before coming back.

    Atmosphere is great - its lively, pretty and fun. Food is standard tourist fare. My $31 lobster roll was OK, fries were soggy and lukewarm. Bouillabaisse was really bad according to everyone who got it. Stuffed lobster was great however. The waiter was awful - but since they add a 20% tip to our sized party, he didn't come back at all once the orders were in. I went to the bar once to ask the bartender to find him and send him to our table so we could get more drinks, but he never showed. We literally had to get up and track him down just to pay the bill. I'd go again to sit at the bar and get a drink, but not eat there.

    We made reservation for wedding anniversary dinner. Upon arrival we realized that it was too early for dinner. The lunch menu was not acceptable for such an occasion. So we did not stay. Both the server and hostess were very polite, personable, and understanding. Unfortunate that full information was not provided by OpenTable.

    The only thing that was good about this experience were the drinks. Food was mediocre, especially for the price. Service was terrible. Sat at a very rocky high top table. Band set up 30 minutes into our meal and the speaker was set up a foot from my chair, no warning that we were being seated in front of the band - it was our anniversary dinner which I told the restaurant about and less than ideal. Would not recommend or go back again.

    Its difficult to accurately rate this restaurant. I'm going to cut to cut to the chase. Our meal was served within 5 min.of ordering, literally. It arrived as though sitting and waiting for a patron to order it. Dry and lifeless, was not hot nor fresh. I indicated when making the reservation that my husband has a severe shellfish allergy and yes, his meal was delivered with shellfish. We didn't eat together as his plate was returned to the kitchen, which did come back looking hot and delicious, not as it did the first time, stale and old. Manager did not apologize or comp any part of the meal. We wanted to like Bar and Board as it was highly rated. I do not recommend it.

    We've been to this restaurant many times and the service is always fairly good--including this last visit. The staff is very young and not incredibly knowledgeable about wines--however I think they do the best they can. The prices are rather high and have continued to climb--I'm assuming as inflation has climbed. The cheese board was well done, but the Caesar Salad lacked flavor and to charge $15.00 for three (very overcooked) shrimp is somewhat highway robbery. The rest of the salad was unremarkable (an aged lettuce mix as well) and the dressing was almost flavorless. I would definitely return, but I would choose more wisely next time.

    We arrived at five, so we could get to a 730 show. Weather forecast was great so I booked an outdoor space. When we arrived, the place was entirely empty and the table where they insisted on seating us was in the sun and very hot. They had fans and put down some shades, but it was still sweltering. The place was empty so we asked if we could move out of the sun or into the air condition portion of the restaurant. They insisted they had reservations coming and couldn’t accommodate us. We left an hour and a bit later, and it was less than a quarter full. interestingly, we watched a couple come in with no reservation, and were easily given the table that we were told was booked – in the shade.  The food was good but management, if there was any there, had no sense of customer service.
