The restaurant was aesthetically pleasing and the atmosphere a welcoming one. Mehdi the manager was very knowledgeable of the dishes and gave us his honest recommendations. Mehdi along with his staff members, Abi and Farad were very accommodating, friendly and made us feel relaxed. Farad made us some sweet and flavoursome mocktails too! Would highly recommend if you want an experience rather than just a place to eat.

Had a great time for lunch at bar 1790. Food and drinks were amazing, coupled with fantastic service to match. The cellars are quite outstanding as well! Will be back as soon as possible!

First time at Bar 1790. Whilst not the day for it - a lovely sunny day - the Friday roast was fantastic.

Food was good. Sandeman 20y tawny port served at fridge temperature. When we queried this with the waiter, the manager came to speak with us and told us that was recommended as the best way to serve it. When we pointed out that is not how Sandeman recommend it served (it is clear on their website) he disagreed about that too. We then felt somewhat ignored for the remainder of our evening. Our main waiter was very good.

The food was really tasty and the place has a good vibe but the service was poor. They never came over to take our drinks or food order. We waited for ages and struggled to get anyone's attention anything we wanted to order something / get the bill.
