The restaurant was beautiful, and the ambiance was excellent, but our service was so poor. Both the bartender and our server seemed to not view us as a priority. Probably took 10 minutes from sitting at the bar to get given a menu to order a drink. He also forgot one of the guests next to us’ drink. And then it was a similar experience at our table. Took ages to get given a menu. Not checked on during the meal. Sat with empty plates waiting to ask for check for far too long. First review I’ve ever written on OpenTable - I give that context to just show how much this stood out. Shame because the food was really good! Host staff were lovely.

Seated late. Took another 30 mins for the waiter to get our drink and food order. Multiple times had to ask for refills as all our glasses were empty. Went with my 2 minor daughters. Food is good but service isn’t what you expect at a ritz property.

Shout out to Charles. What amazing server. After being in the service industry for years I strive to be like him! Absolutely amazing food. My wife and I had our eye set on some entrees but Charles had convinced us to do the fish entree for two and let me tell you. Best decision we had made on the whole trip. We just finished dinner at Merrimans and I would 100% recommend this place over them. Hands down way better experience, better food and outstanding service. The service at Merrimans did not compare to this place. Charles wanted to have a conversion and enjoy his guest where I feel like not many people see it that way anymore. Shout out Charles and shout out to the chef. You guys killed it and I hope to be back!

Banyan Tree was a phenomenal experience. The restaurant is tucked back by the pool at the Ritz, so if you’re not staying there, valet at the hotel lobby and ask for help finding it. We had a late dinner our first night of vacation and everything was wonderful. The service was friendly and attentive, there was live music and the food was outstanding. Would definitely dine here again especially for a special occasion
