I was looking for somewhere nice that I could take my hunny for his bday that he’d never forget. After researching a few places this seemed to be the best option and it didn’t let us down.
Located at the ritz pass the pool area it is quite the journey to get to but no worries. It is definitely worth it. A festive combination of holiday and island decor paired with friendly staff that makes you feel like Alii (royalty, a word I picked up out here lol).
The food was excellent as well as the banyan foster which is their rendition of the banana foster, you have to try it. I also need to mention how well the service was here from the gentleman that brought our drinks to our server who was a Bay Area native where we’re from. I wouldn’t think twice about coming back here.
Food was basic at best, certainly overpriced. Service was above average.

Very overpriced with small, very unremarkable portions and food quality. I ordered the short rib which was low quality meat, dry and stringy. The tuna tartar appetizer was so small for the price it was a joke.
We dined out every night via Open Table in Maui during our stay and every other restaurant was wonderful, including Mala, Honu, Fleetwoods, Japengo. This restaurant was nowhere near the quality and 50% more expensive, yet we left hungry.

We sat in outdoor area with a lovely ocean view. The service was great as was the food and drinks. We loved the Bananyan Foster dessert! We enjoyed our Anniversary dinner.

Incredible food and cocktails when they finally came. Not a busy night at all, but the service (especially for the Ritz) was terrible. Three tables, including ours waited at least 20 minutes to be welcomed or acknowledged by the server, then another 15 to order a first drink. It went downhill from there. Incorrect main order taken, so the rest of our table are while I waited for it to be corrected, then the incorrect main item was included on the bill (that we waited 30 minutes extra to even receive). Just unacceptable service for what was a $400 meal.
Food was amazing. Some of the best we’ve had in Maui. I wish the service matched the food. Our waitress was rude and interrupted our conversation multiple times. She rushed us to order and then rushed us out after we had paid the check. Never offered us coffee after dinner and sat at the bar and stared at us until we left: not up to Ritz Carlton standards.

Our server, Luke, made our special occasion special. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and friendly as well. Our seafood selections were excellent.
I made my reservation 1 month ago and when we got there they tried to sit us in the walkway at the bottom of stairs. I said, “is this the best table you have?” The hostess said it’s the only table we have. We said we don’t want to sit there so they had us wait until a table became available. The hostess was not the friendliest.
Server said, “we have fresh bread, would you like some?” So we took it then found a 5 dollars charge on bill. It’s not the money it’s the fact that bread is not on the menu and the server never said it’s 5 dollars.
Beef short ribs…..ok nothing special. Filet mignon was just ok. Not worth $61 dollars. Only ate about 1/3 same with the short ribs.
Won’t be coming back.
The Ambience and staff was amazing. The food was goods. A bit pricey.
The ambiance was fantastic. Service was the best we have had on the island. The fish was fresh and prepared nicely with a very tasty sauce.

Beautiful outdoor setting with ocean view and view of Ritz Carlton grounds. The usual Hawaiian fare of Ahi and Mahi-mahi was made with unique delicious preparations. The lobster ravioli my husband ordered with an herb sauce was very sumptuous. It is located adjacent to the pools, but diners wore afternoon dressy resort wear. Our waiter was very attentive and the staff kept our water glasses full. Nice selections of wines by the glass and a few signature cocktails, again with unique recipes that were outstanding.

The food was good my wife’s dish the lobster was spot on I had the cioppino seafood dish the fish was great in the dish the base need a little more kick but that’s me. The dessert the banana foster was good
Our server, Dustin, was very engaging and helpful. We had delicious mahi-mahi dinners. Valet parking is complimentary and for people needing accessible accommodation a golf cart delivers you to the restaurant. (We did have difficulty finding the Ritz-Carlton with the GPS).
The food was very overpriced. The Hui Hui meal was better money for value. I also paid 12 dollars for a root beer float earlier in the day at the beach shack at the Ritz. It is not reasonable to over charge for food. Not happy.

The hotel staff directing us to the location of the restaurant on the grounds was happily helpful and kind. The restaurant staff themselves were exceedingly accommodating and our waitress even threw in free bread because I was curious if it came with an app. It was an amazing loaf and a Hawaiian salted honey butter that really set off the umami sampler. Highly recommend combining those two for anyone who attends. The expo and food runners were as delightful as the drinks were. Perfect experience. 11/10.

Server seemed distracted & we had to wait 15 min for a water refill. There were cats hanging around the tables, cute until one started chewing on who knows what. Was a bit if an appetite killer. Is that sanitary? The banana foster was good but portion a bit underwhelming.
