Bamboo Restaurant & Sushi Bar
Good Asian fusion nice ambiance
Good service. Very tasty
Good Spot for a quick roll but not a culinary experience... would only go for a quick lunch.
Overall we enjoyed our sushi. It came out lightning fast and was fresh and delicious. Their portion sizes are also very decent (8 large pieces per roll) unlike other Hamptons sushi places who's rolls have shrunk to half their size. It was a very quiet night but Ive been there previously and it was super lively. Currently its BYOB because of a lapse in liquor license so check the website before you go to see if you need to pack a roadie. Would definitely go back.
Enjoy the food and service is good. It’s just really expensive.
Fantastic.. Gave it a low noise level because we were outdoors.
Only Asian/sushi restaurant in Southampton Village. Friendly atmosphere. Outdoor/indoor seating
This restaurant was CLOSED when we arrived! We had a confirmed Open Table reservation and the restaurant was not even open! Pathetic! No regard for their customers!
Asian chicken dumplings not available for third day in a row
Disappointment diminishes enthusiasm for repeat visit
Good Sushi. Great Sushi pizza, and good rolls. We didn't really eat prepared dishes so I can't tell tell you if they're good, but overall it's the best Sushi west of Water Mill in the Hamptons.
More than decent Asian food. Nice sauces and flavorings, but the tuna and the chicken weren't as tasty as they should have been. Service was well-meaning and attentive.
Great food and reasonable price.
It has a fun vibe but the music is way too loud. You can’t even hear anyone talk.
Greta food and service- nice crowd. Right now it’s byob which worked for us. Sushi was 🔥🔥🔥
Honestly horrible rude and very unprofessional staff nobody was dressed to be a waiter&or waitress the theme of the restaurant was unprofessional kids who don’t know what they are doing the food was way over priced for what was served the only thing i enjoyed was the rainbow roll everything els tasted like Costco food
Best sushi in the Hamptons. Fabulous fresh amazing place great service & cool spot
Great for kids and adults
The waiter an hour after taking our order realized he never put our order in. We had an 945 reservation and ate at 10:45
Waiter tells us he can't stand working at the place and is quitting at anytime. Brought us out all the wrong food and basically threw it at us. One of my favorite restaurants just going down the drain. Very saf
You should tell your guests you have no liquor license not have them arrive and go across the street to a liquor store. Many cooked dishes were over cooked. The raw fish was very good. Service was poor and the bill was all messed up.Don’t like a 20 per cent tip included we like to tip for good service.
We were placed in the covered dining room outside. The atmosphere was festive, a big family celebrating a grandma birthday, and a lot of young people. The food is good, and fresh. The service is ok
Lost their licor license many weeks ago and you have to bring your own alcohol. Still, is very good sushi.
When we walked into the restaurant, there was loud music booming inside so we chose to eat on the rear patio. Unfortunately, the music wasn’t much quieter there.
The staff could use some additional training. Random servers were just walking around and didn’t seem to know which tables they were in charge of.
The restaurant has no liquor license and I got the feeling they are not expecting one anytime soon. They do permit you to bring your own wine and spirits but we were already seated so we didn’t bother. There is a liquor store across the street should you want to get something.
Bamboo took over the spot that was the short-lived Tackle Box and the wi-if popped up as the Tackle Box wi-fi which I thought was strange since this current restaurant opened just before the pandemic. This might explain something about the lack of a liquor license.
They have a very interesting menu with lots of sushi choices. I opted for a main dish of sesame crusted tuna over a bed of garlic udon noodles, mushrooms, pea pods and bok choy. I ordered it rare and it was delicious. I would get that again. My husband had the Chilean sea bass with yams and eggplant but found the sauce too sweet and overpowering.
The restaurant seems to do a huge takeout business which might work better for some people.
I wish them luck getting their act together because it has good possibilities for the future.
We had a girls night Birthday Dinner and the 7 of us unanimously enjoyed every dish that we ordered. The extra special musical candles on the Birthday desert were a fabulous addition to a very special evening. The sushi is always fantastic. Everyone loved the spider roll but my favorite was the sesame crusted tuna although the Honey Soy Salmon was a close second.
I have been a big fan for years and haveenjoyed eating at Bamboo since back in the days when they were in Wainscott. So happy they are located in Southampton now. Always a treat.
Food was AMAZING! And our waiter was so nice. Really great restaurant for my 25th bday 😊
Very fun atmosphere!
Staff is friendly and food is delicious- went with friends and had a very enjoyable evening. The sushi is fabulous and highly recommended!
The staff here are really the primary issue. It seems to be all kids working here. The hostess was rude, the wait staff were rude and the food was mediocre.
Overall, very disappointed with the food. The miso soop was way to salty, unedible, salad was fair, sushi was underwhelming, not very fresh or tasty. Better quality sushi in chain restaurants like Haru For the price of the fish expected much better.
Need to have liquor license restored
Probably can bring your own wine.
Food is really good
We arrived to find that their liquor license had been suspended (and the local liquor store was closed). We think there should have been a note of that when we made the reservation.
Loved our server jeremy and hostess. Everyone was great and super attentive!! Food was great too!!
Great food and staff.
Although it was down pouring rain, we had an excellent experience! Will definitely be back soon!
When we arrived we were told that they are not serving alcohol
I thought the waiter was joking
We went there specifically for the happy hour
The waiter never cracked a smile
Another great dinner at bamboo. Love the lychee martini and the chopped sesame chicken salad
