   We are big Asian / sushi fans and dined in many places. However this was one of the best experiences we’ve had. The food is delightful, everything tasted very fresh. But what made it was the service. The guy who served us was friendly, helpful and very patient with all of our questions. We were made to feel very welcome.

   We had a wonderful time at bamboo mat! The food was amazing!! And staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient. I would definitely come back.

   Tasty dinner at a really reasonable price. Our waiter Eugene was fantastic. Super attentive and friendly. Definitely worth a visit.

   This is a little gastronomic gem in Leyton. The menu is extensive and covers Japanese fusion with a great selection of sushi. There are plates for everyone’s taste. A tasting menu with flights of wine if required. Service is great with advice on all the dishes. Dimitri (front of house) is very good at offering any advice and passionate about the food.

   This was my first visit to Bamboo Mat. Despite its unassuming facade the experience was 5 star. The food was really good, the waiter was a delight and the place was full of customers (on a Tuesday night). I would definitely recommend and will be going back for sure.

   This was my second time with Bamboo Mat so visited again as some of my friends had not been there. Very interesting food and choices for both gluten free and shell fish allergies. Also delicious cocktails at a reasonable price. The waiter was very helpful and patient as we made our selections with food delicious. A lovely little restaurant with speedy and friendly service.

   Valentine's date spoilt when we were told we only had an hour on the table and we were already over that by 10 minutes. This wasn't a condition at the time of booking. It was because the restaurant was busy and they were turning people away. I hadn't even finished my wine! The bill was then put on the table without us asking for it. Felt pretty unwelcome to be honest. Shame really as the food was excellent as always.

   The food, drinks and service exceeded all expectations. The best meal I’ve had in years! It was reasonably priced as well.

   Found this as a last minute reservation for my birthday get together with family. Amazing! I have zero negative comments to make. Very friendly and talented staff.

    This was my third visit and the same as the previous visits the food was exceptional and the service the same.
