Food is always creative and very well presented for small groups to share and enjoy. The wine list is extensive and reflects the wonderful breadth of varieties from the different regions of Spain. Service is attentive and knowledgeable and given with charm. The overall experience is entirely satisfying and encouraging for the next visit.

We had a good (late) lunch at the venue. Given our complicated (self-inflicted) back and forth with the booking due to illness of some staff members, the reservation team handled it with patience. We selected the deluxe shared menu. When we arrived, the table was set for 13 instead of 15, but they quickly amended it to 16 when an additional staff member showed up. Thank you for that. Once the group was complete, the food came out quickly. The service was friendly and attentive. One staff member that only eats halal meats, requested to see the halal certificate and though they did not have it at hand, they were quick to retrieve it from the butcher that supplies them with meat. The vegetarian replacements we received were delicious and everyone was full by the end of it. The fish served at the end was unfortunately only luke-warm at best and the flank steak was very rare (more than usual). One unfortunate event was, that we were only advised about the alcohol content of the raisins after our muslim staff members have eaten them in the salad but the waitress was extremely apologetic. Overall, it was a good experience.

I've eaten at Balcon on numerous occasions and it never disappoints. Food and service are exceptional. It's a great vibe in the restaurant, but the only downside is the noise factor and it is difficult to hear those in your party who may be more softly spoken.
