Traveled to see women’s big 10 game.food was perfect. Fun place. Very bar atmosphere.

The best tacos in Indy. This visit was our servers first day and she did a fantastic job.

Loved it. Never had bad food or service! Our go to downtown.

The food and margaritas were amazing, however, we had a reservation for 7:30pm and did not get seated until after 8pm. That was the only downfall about our experience. We throughly enjoyed our dinner and our waitress was wonderful - she told us about a 30 person party that was about to order and advised that we get our orders in ASAP so we wouldn’t have to wait any longer. This was very much appreciated especially considering we had to wait over 30 minutes to get seated.

We made a reservation ahead of time. Our table was ready and waiting on us as soon as we arrived. The servers were all very attentive, service was fast and food was delicious as it always is!

Great tacos and margaritas.

We had a great table by the front window. The waitress was nice and attentive. The food was excellent and margaritas were delicious.

Food was good, but not worth what we paid.

It was ok. Wasn't good wasn't bad. Just ok. And loud as hell.

They changed their menu. It’s not what it used to be. Don’t know if we would ever go back!

Four of us went there for the first time. We had a reservation and were seated as soon as we arrived.

Ambience had a cool vibe.
Started with chips, salsa, and guacamole - all very good.
We each had a few tacos, the shrimp and short rib were outstanding. Also tried the fish taco, which was great as well but we all preferred the other two.
We also each had a Tostadas, which was good but highly recommend the taco instead.

Will definitely go back, by far the best Mexican we have had in the Indy area.

Everything was so delicious. I know it sounds dramatic, but I would die for the short rib tacos to live another day. The margaritas were strong. The guac and salsa were fresh and flavorful. The service was nice! Not much privacy between tables but that's okay!

The short rib tacos were so dry! The shrimp taco was great though. Good margs.

The server was great the guac was avocados just chunky with salt and cilantro. The pastor tacos were forgettable and neither of us ate much more than a taste of the meat.

Menu has changed for the worse. Tostada is nothing but a sad taco and no corn chowder. If I wanted generic tacos I would go elsewhere. Server was great but seemed poorly trained. I can see why the restaurant was half empty.

I love Bakersfield!! It’s always the perfect environment when I want to go out with friends. The food is to die for and the waiters are amazing.

Bakersfield is your typical trendy taco/Mexican food spot. The avocado is always fresh, but do wish the tortillas for the tacos didn’t fall apart so easily. They have recently expanded their menu and added more variety. The margaritas had a lot of ice and were not filled all the way to the top.

Love the rustic urban vibe. Best shrimp tacos! Very yummy!

Always a good time at Bakersfield. Food and drinks were great! Sometimes hard to hear each other in conversation but enjoyed our night!

Wow the basement is loud. We were sandwiched (or taco’d) between two very loud parties. The noise level was jarring. The staff did a great job though and the meal was delicious as always.

Date night

Just meh. Service was bad - I was served warm Rose wine (I mean, not even remotely cool and it was freezing outside so they must've stored it near a heated area) and when I told the waitress she said she didn't know what to do. Then she brought me ice. Food was mediocre. Better tacos to be found. Their green salsa is to die for though. Go for chips & salsa, but have wine and eat dinner somewhere else.

Waitress gave us $5 off for our 2 year anniversary 🙂

Made reservations and we had to sit at a table that was for one or two people, however there were 3 of us and the place was not crowded.
