   Visited this past weekend from Chicago and made a reservation as it was suggested from a family member. Being from Chicago, I have very high expectations but let me tell you, Bakersfield did not disappoint! I have to say they have some of the best tacos I’ve ever had! Amazing flavors and very reasonably priced. And the service was spot on….our server, Cherie, was exceptional! We had a 3-yr old with us and she ensured he had everything he needed just as much as the adults. She was attentive, timely on checking back in on us and very friendly. All around a great experience and can’t wait to come back! Thank you Cherie and Bakersfield for a great visit. Cheers!

   We went to Bakersfield before a Thursday night football game in Detroit. Great experience! The atmosphere was "Lions on steroids" as others shared our idea. Beer was cold and flowing, and the food was wonderful. A brief walk (10-15 mins) to Ford Field. A great night. Park near Bakersfield (absolutely recommend a reservation on a game day/night) and save money relative to parking closer to the stadium, pregame with a beer and some tacos, and head to Ford Field. You can even take the Q back after the game. Enjoy!

   Bakersfield is one of our favorite places to eat but I think they’ve gotten too big for there britches. Last night we were sat next to the windows/lift up doors and asked to be moved because of the draft. Then we struggled to hear/interact with our server-she was wearing a mask. No one else was, it was quite unnerving-why, was she sick and handling our food? We couldn’t hear her. Our food was definitely not the usual level. Did they change the taco shell? Our taco tortilla seemed thicker and was brittle. And our pork was very dry. We received a taco we did not order so the correct taco was ordered after some confusion. We had a great deal of time to enjoy our dinner before the football game but opted to leave the restaurant because nothing about our experience was delightful. I’m sorry things seem to have gone down.

   Second time here. Perfect location for food/drink before the Red Wings game. Service was a little slow but food was amazing and we had a great time.

   We went i. The day before Thanksgiving and it was relatively quiet because Woodward was shutdown and everything was wonderful.

   This was our second time at Bakersfield and it has been great both times. Food is full of flavor and service is friendly. A bit loud for us to talk with our group, but it was right before the crowd was leaving for the Red Wings game, so we should have expected that. We'll be back.

   Outstanding overall… But if you want to have a conversation with someone at your table…generally requires you to yell to overcome the noise. Great place though!

    This is my fourth time coming to this restaurant and I have enjoyed every time I’ve been there. The food is delicious and the tacos are my favorite choice of food items.
