   I have been before and I have enjoyed my meal each time. I invited my clients on this occasion and our server seemed a bit distracted. He didn't serve my clients water. He didn't offer bread, we had to ask. Both of their steaks were over cooked and had to be re- ordered. I was a bit disappointed on this visit.

   It is nice to have a fine dining restaurant on the west side of Gainesville. The well appointed restaurant is perfectly matched with the high level of service, knowledgable wait staff, quality and preparation of food and attention to detail of the owner.

   Very disappointing meal. Our server was attentive but the food was terrible. I ordered the filet tip appetizer on sweet corn. The serving was large but I would certainly not consider it filet. Several pieces had fat and were chewy like stew meat. The cooking was inconsistent: some pieces were rare, some well done. My partner had a sirloin steak. He said it reminded him of the "baseball" cut. Also had the wedge which was by far the best item of the night. The menu is overpriced. Large portions mean nothing when quality is poor.

    Not sure if the chef and waitress were having an off night but this restaurant was a huge disappointment. First of all, it's not a good sign when you request an entree and it's not available. But when it happened on 3 entrees .... yikes! My client settled on the filet and requested medium rare. It came out well done! They did bring a new filet prepared correctly but included it on the bill. Not cool. She ate while each of us watched and waited.
