The event was fun and entertaining. The food was downright amazing. I love new things and twists on old things and they hit it outta the park on both areas. Also, at small plate tasting you often leave hungry. Not at all here. The pairings with the whisky was fantastic as well! We went for the whisky, which was all very good but the food stole the show!! Thank you.

We have been to Backlot a few times and it has always been so busy. Last night, we were almost the only ones in the restaurant. Perhaps it was because it was a Sunday night that it was not busy. Regardless, the food was great as was the service.

The booths are very tight to the tables. If you are claustrophobic it will be a problem. The hummus had no flavor and was too thick. Tried the smash burger which wasn’t really a true smashed burger (each patty was too thick) and it was cooked well done so a bit dry. Two in our party split the shrimp pasta which they both said was really good. We also tried a Detroit style pizza and it was decent.

My first visit and on a Sunday for brunch. The food options outside of the Buffett was great. The quality of food was very good. I will go back as enjoyed the environment

We have been there 3 times now with this group. One is vegan and has ordered the veggie pizza with nondairy cheese on regular crust and have specifically let the server know it must come on reg crust not cauliflower crust. And it came out on cauliflower crust AGAIN! Also waited for nearly an hour for our pizza once we ordered it.

First time visit. Delicious food and good service. The pizza, pasta and salad were very good. Very convenient to be able to make reservations online. We are already planning our next visit.

We usually have great meals at Backlot. This past Tuesday was crazy busy, hence, super dry burgers and burnt buns. The service was excellent, kitchen very much lacking just this week!

Always a great experience. Especially when Chris Saub is playing music on Sat nights. He's very entertaining and makes it worth our 15-mile trip to eat here. Pizza, spin dip, and smash burger were delicious.

Food is…okay…there are not a whole lot of healthy options. Pizza is a ton of bread. Service was mediocre at best. I enjoy the theater but next time I’ll eat elsewhere beforehand.

I love this place! Food is awesome and Chris Saub is one hell of a musician. Even with music playing you can still have a conversation. We come here all the time even when we aren’t going to a movie!

I booked a Wed night dinner for my son before a movie for his birthday. An employee walked by and asked if he was the birthday boy and offered him a card for the arcade which was sweet. The food was great, the service was great, no issues. It didn't seem too busy.

Food was good on buffet! They had a few premium items such as shrimp and grits, and all their pizzas on top of regular breakfast offerings. Coffee and tea are included but milk and juice are extra which is not impressive at this price range. The Buffett was kept well stocked and the manager and runners were working their tails off to keep it clean and stocked. Biggest grip was the pricing at $25/person, including for kids. For our family of 4 it was $130, which is a bit excessive. We said it was good food, but not enough for us to go back anytime soon for those prices.

Can't say enough good about the sunday brunch! They are great restocking things my only wish is that the service was that good all through the week, it seems very sporadic if you go eat during the week. They seem to always have enough help, not sure what they do though as you are left waiting for service.

I love the Backlot! This was my second time here and it was just as amazing. The staff are exceptional and attentive. The food is so, so delicious. The time between ordering and food arriving is great...almost too fast. 😁 We had the spinach artichoke dip with pita chips. So creamy and a LOT of dip. Also had the ceasar salad, which was really good. I had the Cadillac Pizza and it's disgustingly perfect! I could eat it every day! Also ordered the bacon mac and cheese. Which was creamy, cheesy, and smokey! People, don't walk....RUN to the Backlot Pizza + Kitchen and enjoy a delicious and reasonably priced meal. They had live music while we were there...made for a perfect atmosphere. For those who are sensitve to noise, it was not super loud. There is one huge issue and it's a pretty big deal. I hate that I live an hour away and can't go more often.

The pizza was very good, especially The Uptown. The ambience was interesting - it suffered some from being connected to a movie theater as well as the decor being a mishmash. Also, the website neglects to mention that they switch to a late night menu. All that said, we had an excellent server and would eat there again if we were local.

I have been to BackLot several times, but this was the first time for the buffet. The food is always delicious and hot, and the buffet did not disappoint. The choices were numerous and again everything seems to taste wonderful. This visit 2 of our 5 total guests had never been to Backlot and I actually had been bragging about the pizza. The pizza that was there to eat did not disappoint and everyone loved the Detroit Style. 4 of the 5 guests had the buffet and all 4 agreed, the pizza area is too small and half the time there was no pizza or very few flavors. I only had 2 pieces of the combo and would have like another piece or 2 but the combo flavor was empty for at least 15-20 minutes. I was actually bummed bc every time someone when back, the pizza area was empty. It always had the buffalo Chicken readily available but no peperoni, no combo and even the cheese was left empty.
