   We were seated right away at our scheduled reservation time on a busy night. Food was great. Service was a bit on the slow side (they were very busy), but we weren't in a hurry.

   We both had our favorite, the golden tile. It seemed to be overcooked as it was not as tender as usual. Everything else was good & our waiter, Jonah, was great.

   Food awesome but our waitress was just not on her game. I asked her if she was new and she said she had been there 1.5 years or so. Bottom line we always enjoy Babins.

   I was in the mood for catfish which I had not had in years! The wild caught filets were perfectly prepared. With a side order of hush puppies, I was in heaven. My guests ordered red snapper. Again, very fresh and wonderfully prepared.

    Service was excellent, food was very good but the gumbo was not Cajun Spicy. Also most restaurants ask about food allergies. This one didn’t. And we got some crab balls and they were fried in the same oil as the shrimp and my wife is allergic to shrimp. The manager exchanged the item for something else and it was fine. All in all it was pleasant but the restaurant is TOO LOUD.

    We had a young man named Tyler that served us and he was amazing! We live in league City on the Kemah side- it was well worth the drive! We will be back and will make sure that he is working that evening.

    Ordered a dirty martini and it came in a dirty glass (lip stick stains from a previous customer). Waiter immediately took care of it, and replaced it but a better move would have been to comp the drink. We ordered the halibut and golden tile. The halibut was over cooked so the typical buttery texture was replaced with a dry chicken like feel. Golden tile was over powered by the lemon butter topping. So really can’t appreciate the fish here. Might as well go with catfish or something since it’s all smothered in sauces and other stuff.

    My husband had the grilled trout. It was awesome. I had the shrimp etouffe. Little spicy for me but that's a true Cajun recipe. However it was really tasty.

    My wife and I dined at Babin's for an early Christmas Eve dinner. Golden Tile is one of my favorite fish selections and I am always excited to see it on the fresh selection board. It was there and of course I ordered it. It came out very overcooked and dry. Disappointing! I know it would have been corrected if I had mentioned it, but it was such a busy evening that I decided to overlook it. My wife's flounder was perfectly prepared. The boiled shrimp were fresh and perfect. Oysters on the half shell were fresh and tasty, though the shucker did a poor job. They were full of shells. All in all an average experience at a premium price point. Service was exceptional.

    The service was outstanding, I just can not say that about the food. The so-called crawfish bisque is simply gumbo with étouffée sauce mixed in. The Snapper Puntchratran, well the lumps of crab meat were good. The Snapper may have been farm raised. I always try to give a restaurant a second look, but I will pass on the second opinion.

    Our server did not want to be there. We sat down and we're greeted and ordered appetizers right away. The server initially you could tell was ready to go or did not want to be there. Our appetizer was served and we did not have any place settings, no appetizer plates. I had to get up and get those from another table myself. We heard the other tables waiter offer the specials of the day (we were not offered them) they were also offered bread and butter (we were not). We are Landry's members and this was not the norm for service at one of their restaurants. It was just unfortunate and we will not go back for another holiday dinner. We felt very rushed and not taken care of.

    We went for Thanksgiving meal! Did not want traditional so we ordered seafood! The Salmon was average average at best. I tried something different the pasta de Mare! Was supposed to have scallops, crab and shrimp! I did not like the flavor nor did I appreciate getting 1 scallop and a sprinkling of crab? I tipped the waitress 30% because she was working on Thanksgiving and was sweet! The meal was not worth the tip!

    This is the third time in a row that we have eaten at this location and been less than satisfied with the service and/or the food. My husband and I ordered the Thanksgiving special. The turkey was inedible, the food was not warm, we could not identify one of the food groups and did not eat it. The mashed potatoes had very large lumps in them, I mean large. The waiter was very distracted. Even though we were the first ones seated in the restaurant it took a long time to get our food. Other people had their orders before us. When I gave the waiter my Landry's card he told me he would take it later and walked away. I really wonder about the management at this location. We will not be going back.
