This is a first-class restaurant. The food is very well prepared and presented. The bacon (it's included in many dishes or served straight-up) is truly outstanding. Steaks were cooked to perfection, and these were served hot. Service? Absolutely tremendous. Our waitress was remarkable: knowledgeable, attentive, helpful. Management walked around the dining area and spoke with patrons. The overview of the Houston skyline from the veranda terrace was very nice. About the only critique we could find was the place is a bit pricey. Everything is ala carte. Nonetheless, if you have a special occasion, and have a few bucks in your wallet, you cannot go wrong with B&B. Recommended!
Great patio. Interesting and delicious steaks. Service was excellent. Great for special occasions.
I had a great experience at B AND B BUTCHERS. We had a 9 pm reservation on a busy Saturday night. When no tables on the floor were available almost an hour later, Manager William McMillan stepped in. We were seated on the patio and treated to two amazing appetizers and two wonderful cocktails! We had amazing service long after the restaurant “closed” and left with bags of leftovers and warm feelings about the best steakhouse in town!
We had an amazing meal here for my husband's birthday. Wagyu steak is a must try and the brussel sprouts we so good.
Harmony was an amazing server, she made our evening spectacular!
The steak was great, as was the service. I thought the wines were nice (glasses, not bottles). We both found the cocktails to be lower quality, watered down, at blush-worthy prices.
Valentine’s Day brunch was excellent. They even coordinated with a local florist and had flowers delivered to our table. Our new favorite restaurant in Houston!
Thank you so much. We're so happy you appreciated the restaurant as well as the flowers touch.
Top of the line service and experience. I have a new favorite steakhouse!!
Thank you so much.
Second year here for Valentine’s Day dinner. Amazing food and service. Could not recommend enough
Thank you so much for your feedback.
Dinner with husband. Food is always delicious. Jay our server was fantastic. I recommend this restaurant for any day or any type of occasion. You will not go wrong. This is our favorite steak house in Houston.
Thank you Carmen, we're so grateful for your patronage.
I had a reservation at 730. There were people that came in after me and was seated before me.. I was not seated till 8 pm. That was very disappointing and made me feel like it could have been a racial issue. They should do better with reservations so that people will not feel like that. Over all the food was delicious and the waitress was amazing.
One of the best restaurants I have been to in a long time.
I'm so glad you had a great experience. I hope to see you back soon.
Went there for Valentine’s Day and our anniversary, so they are a bit busy. The waiter are very helpful and willing to answer any questions you have about their menu and drink selection.
Place was very over priced. I order 2 appetizers, the scallops and prosciutto with mozzarella. The scallops lacked so much flavor and the mozzarella was cold, wet and had zero taste. They gave us a free appetizer which was a chicken nugget with hot sauce, oyster and the fatty part of the thick cut bacon. But it was free, so no complaints there.
Next we ordered the 20z Ribeye with 2 sides. The Lobster Mac and cheese with bacon and the sautéed mushrooms. The Mac and cheese was okay. I’ve had more flavor from Kraft, but I let it slide. The mushrooms were still kind of raw almost. They were definitely cooked, but they were still very not cooked at the same time. The Ribeye was probably the best part of the entire thing. Cooked and seasoned to perfection.
Last we had desert. We ordered creme brûlée and the berry cake. The creme brûlée was not that great. My girlfriend complained it was grainy in texture, but it was good to me. I had a problem with it being cold. Especially when it’s suppose to be torched sugar on top. None of the burnt flavoring or warmth that was suppose to come with it. The berry cake was very nice though. Very soft and warm like it was actually baked fresh. And the ice cream on top very much sold it to me.
Overall a very poor experience. At one point I dropped my fork and the waiter never came to ask if we were alright or needed anything. I literally ate the ribeye with two knives. The atmosphere is great. But for a restaurant that has been hyped up as much as it has and the things I heard about B&B. This did not live up to any of the expectations. I would suggest going to Vic and Anthony’s or Capital Grille over this place. It’s literally half the cost with better service and better tasting appetizers, sides and desserts. The steaks probably won’t compare, but that’s up to you.
I'm so sorry you had such a disappointing experience. Please give us a second chance. I'll be more than happy to be your host and make sure you'll have a nice dinner that you can enjoy from appetizers to desserts.
Amazing experience. All the food was excellent. Warm cozy atmosphere. Our server Ryan was great! Great place for our anniversary dinner. Will definitely be back!
Thank you for the kind words. We'll let Ryan know about your feedback.
FUN brunch spot outside!
Amazing service, food and the views of downtown are great too!
Thank you so much! Brunch is always a fun time.
We had a wonderful time at Sunday Brunch. It was my son's birthday and they brought out a special dessert for him. The food was delicious. The live music was a nice touch (not too loud).
Thank you very much. We are so happy you had a great time with us and that you chose B&B to celebrate your son's birthday.
Requested outdoor dining for Brunch but they did not place it on my reservation. Ate and left bc it was freezing inside the building. Food was good but make sure you double check reservations
Without a doubt some of the best service and steaks I’ve ever had. Kinda expensive when compared to other steak houses but it was very well worth it. I will definitely be returning.
Thank you very much for the compliments.
Great business atmosphere because it was so quite. The food was great.
It was my boyfriend’s birthday everything was excellent. We were very pleased with the food and service!
Thank you so much.
We had a great time, the food was great and service was good. We will return, always have a good experience!
Thank you for being such a loyal patron.
The servers were great, very attentive, and answered all questions expertly. I ended up deciding on the 55-day dry aged ribeye and it was the best steak I’ve ever had.
Thank you for the kind words. I am glad that you enjoyed our 55 day aged ribeye. It is defintely one of our house favorites. We look forward to you returning soon.
Wife Birthday
Special birthday brunch, highly anticipated, we were excited to try this restaurant for the first time. We arrived for brunch and were seated on the patio. The server was nice, he went through the menu and answered every question we had. The live music in the patio was a nice touch too. The appetizer bacon dish was the best course. The Wagyu steak was very tender, however my entree, filet benedict, had a small hair or lint or something strange on the egg and this, unfortunately, took away my appetite. It took a long while for the server to come back to our table and we did not even get a manager visit to the table regarding the situation. Overall, 3 star experience.
Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. I apologize for the sad experience you had with the hair in the dish. We do everything possible to ensure the safety of our guests and this happens very rarely. I also take full responsibility for not going to your table when it occurred, I was busy at the time and missed coming to you thereafter. I would love to have you back and show you this was an unusual thing. Please let me know when you want to try us again so I can take care of you.
Very expensive. Not worth 280 dollars for a 22oz ribeye and stuffed lobster, 2 glasses of wine, etc. The food was really good. The chairs were awful to sit in and we couldn't sit in a booth for some reason. It took about 2 hours for the whole meal. Don't get me wrong, it was good food but for 280 after taxes and tip, that's just to much.
Fantastic service and delicious food served in very generous portions. We were pleasantly surprised to find the sides were just as special as the main courses or starters - we had grilled asparagus, corn soufflé, and creamed spinach. Our table voted for the carpet baggers and the lamb bacon as absolute musts for anyone trying it out for the first time. Another item worth mentioning is the The steak Wellington: it’s puff pastry was perfectly light and crispy, yet tender, the whole dish very flavorful. So hard to find one well executed and this one was - as I said - perfect! Finally we tried the bacon cookie for dessert, one for our table of 4, decadent!
Thank you so much for the great feedback Foodie007. We hope seeing you back soon and enjoy the same great experience.
