First time at restaurant . Was recommended by a friend and was excited to try a new restaurant. We were very satisfied with the food and the service. We will be back soon.
Great steak, but the sides could use some work.
Amazing food. Exceptional service from our waiter. He thoroughly explained every different type of cut for us to make the best decision that would suit our taste. This is not your average “steakhouse”, it’s fresh and inventive. We will definitely be coming back and plan to visit the butchery soon!
Dinner was very good. The food was flavorful, plentiful and menu was well thought out. It was on the noisy side and it made it hard to have a conversation.
End of tax season celebration. Great wine list.
Excellent brunch cuisine and our waiter was super!
The food was amazing my husband ordered the 12 oz A5 Japanese wagyu ribeye and he noted that it was one of the two best steaks he has ever had. He is a steak master so for him to say this it must have been amazing! I wish they would have a mix of different appetizers available that were not so fancy. Our waiter was great however he never refilled my water glass which that is he only thing I can complain about. Everything else was amazing and he was very informative. We will be back!
B&B is consistently outstanding both for the delicious food and the truly five-star service. I think this is the most attentive service in Houston. We had a wonderful meal and were able to take advantage of the complimentary shuttle downtown which dropped us off and picked us up after the performance we attended. I was surprised the restaurant was full at 5:30 pm on a Saturday, but B&B is that good!
Too expensive and the quality of the food was not great!
Excellently prepared food, beautifully presented. The menu selections are familiar foods with a new twist - unique choices. The staff was professional, attentive and helpful. My group of friends really enjoyed a wonderful meal together.
Just a spectacular experience as always!
Really great appetizers! My only issue was the steak that was carved table side was cold...tasted great, perfectly cooked but it was cold. Oh well, microwave the next day and it was a great lunch.
20-year work anniversary celebration.
Great food and service. Prices were pretty high, but everything we ordered was excellent. Will be back again for sure, just not as often as I'd like because of the prices.
Always a top notch dining spot in Houston. Steaks and food were exceptional. It is always pricey though, and service was mostly good but some lengthy times of nothing.
Great food, service and ambiance. Convenient to downtown.
It was my husbands birthday dinner and it was a pleasant experience. Excellent service. The waiter really knew all about their steak options and wine selection.
Don’t get me wrong, this is a good steakhouse but I believe there are others in Houston that are a better value. The bacon appetizer though is amazing!
Ryan and staff were excellent
Amazing food, super service, we celebrated my husband's birthday and we had a wonderful time!!
The service and food at B&B Butchers is second to none. I have on few occasions had a better meal from a food quality, service quality, and enjoyment standpoint. I would not hesitate to recommend B&B to anyone that lives in or travels to Houston.
I expected a great meal with great service but our experience exceeded our high expectations. Really enjoyed the evening.
Great service and pretty good value. Steak was cooked great will come back in the future.
Went there with my wife for our anniversary. Service was a little slow, food was good, not great considering the price. I had the 55 dry-aged wagyu from Marfa, Texas and was not a big fan at all, I couldn't finish it, couldn't even stand the smell.
When ever we are in Houston we must make our way here - if it is dinner or brunch.. Never disappointed.. Service is excellent and the food is always, always “melt in your mouth”..
Without hesitation I would and have recommended B&B..
Our second visit to B&B, and it was almost as good as the first time. We had an early reservation, but the place quickly filled up and was pretty busy the entire time there. Overall the service and food was very good, not quite as great as our first visit, but good none the less. Not a real fan of the small tables and how close to the other tables, but that seems the norm these days. Our server seemed a tad distracted as by the time he came by to get our dinner order I forgot to order an appetizer! Oops. We ordered the Rigatoni and the Beef Wellington. The Rigatoni was nice, nothing spectacular, but nice. The Beef Wellington was very good, and was my first time to try it. I would try it again. The star was the side order- corn souffle! It was fantastic. As we wrapped up dinner, we were there to celebrate a birthday, eventually (it took a long time!) the server came by and offered some choices for desert. We had the Chocolate Cake and it was fantastic, and complimentary. So, overall, it was a very good dinner.
We went to B & B Butchers to celebrate 2 birthdays. We arrived on time and were seated promptly. Our waitress greeted us immediately and offered to bring cocktails and then go over specials. We had the oyster special they are known for. I'm not an oyster person, but the group I was with loved the appetizer. Our waitress went over specials and then answered questions we had about menu items. Our food came out pretty quick. Four of us had the Butchers butter steak. Two had the ribeye. Another had a steak special with blue cheese. The Butchers butter steaks were just like butter and the most tender steak ever with great flavor! Would highly recommend this dish...and the restaurant.
Asked for medium steak. Was served rare to medium rare depending on what part of the serving I was eating on. Very disappointing. I am in the cattle business and have reason to not eat rare steak. For $56 you should know how to cook medium steak. Many cooks think they know better than the customer and cook all steaks rare. That really just means they don’t know how to cook to varying degrees.
Great service good was exceptional and a perfect spot (upstairs) for a business conversation.
Amazing service & wonderful quality food. A go to steak restaurant for a) anyone visiting Houston b) business meal c) large group of friends d) romantic night out
When we go out to eat, we are trying to look at all the components - the food, the atmosphere, the service, the value. B&B was outstanding almost on all fronts. It wasn’t the first time we came and it was just as good as the first time. Very nice place with beautiful and romantic atmosphere. Food is outstanding. A must for someone who wants to eat excellent meet. From appetizers our favorite was trio of bacon. From the main courses we ordered Texas wagyu, T Bone steak, Porter House steak. Everything was melting, it was just too good. As for the service, when we entered - the front desk people were very nice. We initially asked for an outside seating but when we got there we decided to seat inside and we were accommodated immediately. However, our server didn’t pay attention to the notes we left when we were booking the place. We put in notes that we were celebrating 3 events - the birth of our daughter, the first visit of the grandparents and the birthday. Nothing was mentioned about it and it was a little disappointing because we wanted to have something little special.
Great food and great service! I feel like it is a bit pricey but the quality of the meat is superb. They prepared the steak perfectly.
Great aged steaks. Good atmosphere
The carpetbaggers are awesome but the lamb burger for $17 was not that good of a burger. I would go to hop-doddys for a good burger. My service was great.
We had Easter lunch... and we love the restaurant! But this time... we had to wait about 45 min for the steaks... and my mother’s steak which she wanted “ well done” was simply raw!!!! After she got ( after 30 min later) her medallion was burned. And it was only ONY ONE medallion from two... ( the first one she barely cut).
I felt everyone was very stressed and trying to keep up with a crowd but that’s Easter for you!
So I was very disappointed in one of my favorite restaurants for the first time! Hope to have a better experience next time!
Excellent food and service. Highly recommend!
My friend and I enjoyed Easter Brunch. The food was delicious!! The service was great! The roof-top dining was just beautiful. I highly recommend this to all my friends. I hope to go back some day and try something else on the menu.
Appetizers and steaks were excellent! The roof terrace on a beautiful spring day was incomparable! Great food, views and service! It was a nice plus to have Manfred visit our table to inquire about our experience. All Good!!!
Rather good food and drinks in a place with an appealing aesthetic.
