B&B Butchers & Restaurant - Fort Worth
The manager sat us in a private room to celebrate our anniversary! My husband is HighRiskCovid19. This was before the ban. I expressed my concern and said unless separated we would have to cancel. So happy we got to celebrate our 34th anniversary!
B&B is a favorite with our families for birthdays. Our brunch was excellent - from the mimosas and bacon to a huge variety of choices to select from for our main course. The service was super.
Great service, even better food.
Our steaks were over-cooked, the dover sole was dry. An off night for sure. We were 9 people for 3 birthdays and only one meal (sea Bass) was good
Everything was great 10/10
Fabulous food! Was shown our table promptly upon arriving. Service was a tad off; beverages took a while to arrive but main course came out very quickly on the heels of salads - a little too fast. But all in all, an enjoyable experience for all!
We were very disappointed with the service. At this level of dining our expectations were that our server would know the menu, he would check with us about how our food was and to see if we needed anything during the meal. At one point after flagging him down we had asked for Red wine to go with the steaks, the red wine arrived 3/4 of the way of eating. They did comp this, but it was extremely irritating. The manager came around to ask how our meal was and I said “ok” with a shrug and he smiled and said “great” and walked away? I would assume a manager would inquire why the experience was just ok? It was my son’s birthday and this was made known when the reservation was made and again when we checked in. There was nothing special done? We spend $600.00 for 4 people and left with a poor experience.
On previous visits we loved this place and decided to celebrate 2 birthdays there. They just didn’t have their A game in the kitchen. Steaks were sub-par but I will say the sides were great. We did get comped the steak and given several desserts- so I will say they tried to right it. But it was just a bummer. I would go back again to give them another shot.
Professional dining, for special occasions.
Waxed with some of FWs most polished servers.
A must visit!
Great night out! Food was great!
This place was fantastic. Their slab bacon is one of a kind! The service was fabulous! I suggest getting there to start eating at 530. It gets busy after 7pm. My husband loved his steak and he is super picky!!! Don't listen to the negative reviews! I wish they were in Dallas!!
Wife and I had a good time here. Ambiance was great. The service/waiter was outstanding. And the food was everything we expected and more.
My husband & I celebrated a birthday February 26 at B & B for lunch. We were welcomed & seated to a quiet spot where I selected Mr. G’s Chicken Caesar salad. Excellent! The other entree was Crab Louis. Best he’s ever had!
Thank you chef!
Simone’s service would have anyone coming back. She was attentive & made sure we were enjoying our meal.
Great place to take clients!
Always our most favorite evening!!!!
So I've been wanting to try this steakhouse in the Clearfork area for a while and finally had the time. The place is on par with Del Frisco's without the downtown traffic and parking problems. I like the decor at B&B better then the dated decor at Del Frisco's.
My wife started off with a cocktail and Caesar salad. Thought the Caesar salad was very plain at best, nothing extraordinary. We then shared the 3 Thick Bacon appetizer. This was the best item of the night. I particularly liked the bacon with blue cheese, something different and delicious. The lamb bacon and regular thick cut bacon were delicious as well. A family of 4 could've easily shared this dish.
For our main entree I had the Butcher's Butter Waygu steak and my wife had the Chilean Seabass. The steak was served as 4 medallion steaks over a bed of spinach. Personally I would not have served the steak on a bed of spinach as I think the spinach takes away from the flavor of the steak. The meat was magnificently tender. My wife liked her Chilean Seabass that was served with brussel sprouts. Presentation of the Chilean Seabass was nice. And oh yeah almost forgot we ordered spinach as a side dish not realizing that my steak came with spinach. Doh!
All in all it was a nice dinner but was it worth the $200+ for the meal, nah not really. Luckily we don't do this too often.
One more thing..... The waitress presents the bill to you on a mini iPad, with options listed on what percentage tip you would like to give to your server. Note that the tip is presented as after tax, not before. Personally, I don't like doing that.
Mardi Gras brunch was good
Mardi Gras brunch was amazing. Great food and great service. Definitely need to come back for dinner.
Very good staff, environment was pleasant. Food was salty. Will return....
Want a good steak this is the spot, the Mac and cheese is on point! Along with the bacon wrap shrimp with the sauce that comes along with them whooowee let me tell you!!
The meal was fine. My dish was a little bland, but I guess I should have ordered steak (I took a risk and ordered pasta). We come here often and I always order steak. Wait staff was very friendly, but it just took a while for our server to take our order and get our meal started. She did apologize for the wait.
We celebrated our anniversary and it was perfect!! The staff was very attentive and friendly. The food was delicious!!
Average lunch...service was below average
The food was great, but our service was slow. We had to ask for menus and water. Waitress rarely checked back.
Went for brunch with my wife as this was once one of our favorite “date” restaurants. However, after this trip we will. It be coming back. We had reservations for 1:30pm and upon arrival there was no host to greet or seat anyone and there were several parties ahead of us that were just as confused as we were. Finally someone appeared and they manically told us to “hang tight” for about 5 minutes they would seat us. Well we waited and finally we were taken to a table. Once seated it was about 10 minutes before our waitress appeared to give us water and menus. 20 minutes after that our order was taken. I ordered the B&B Hash and my wife the mixed greens with salmon. Either of us made any special requests or alterations to our order. 40 minutes later, still food less, all the tables around us already enjoying their food but our waitress has gone AWOL. Finally she reappears to let us know that our food order was never put in. Awesome, we’re done at this point and leave. Service was god awful and we will not be coming back.
From start to finish, this place is wonderful. We try something different every time we are there and are always very pleased!
Every part of our meal was outstanding. The waitress recommended an appetizer, Carpet Bagger on the Half Shell, and it did not disappoint! Pork belly, filet and a fried oyster topped with blue cheese and buffalo sauce.... seriously incredible.
I was a little let down by the tomato and onion salad as it was exactly that... only sliced tomato and sliced raw onion. I guess I was expecting the tomato and onion to be on a bed of greens or marinated. My fault though. I just wouldn't order it again.
The meals were fantastic, I had the waygu filet and my husband tried the prime rib. Both were outstanding. My filet was probably the best piece of meat I have ever eaten. And the sides were fantastic, especially the corn soufflé!
We finished the meal making ourselves miserable by having the butter cake with berries. It was good but honestly probably not worth the over stuffing.
We will definitely return for the steaks and appetizers!
We enjoyed the food as well as the service. The staff was friendly and our waiter and waitress were attentive. The door host should smile though. He was short and presented himself too serious. I understand this is a high end restaurant but instead of addressing a guest with “How can I help you”? A simple “hello and welcome” would have been received so much better. Maybe we didn’t look like we belonged there. Other than that small situation it was a great date night and we look forward to trying Brunch at the restaurant.
Food was outstanding! The Carpet Baggers and the Butcher’s Butter with the corn soufflé were our favorites! Our waiter, David, was very friendly and attentive!
This restaurant is amazing. I had the 55 Prime and I must say it was delicious. Me and my wife will definitely go back. The only issue I had was were we was sitting. But it was valentine weekend so I can understand a little bit. Maybe the next visit we will be sitting in a better area.
Horrible experience on our valentine day date. I requested a booth and despite there being one open, I was told I could not have it as those were for parties of six. I was fine with that but then noticed one of the booths was occupied by just a couple and their child.
Hi, I'm Kimberly. My spouse's best friend knew of your Houston location and
Thanks for the Lovely greetings and conversation, service from the door.
Fantastic Meal, attention paid,
Accommodations were excellent.
My pan seared sea bass, broccoli, garlic whipped potatoes were heavenly.
Blackened scallops as an appetizer with mango salsa!💋😍
The food was decent but a little pricy for what you get. However the service was outstanding.
Always a pleasant experience
Always great food and service
The lobster tail and shrimp were very good but the ribeye steak was tough and overcooked.
I made reservations for Valentines date lunch for my wife and I. With no parking to speak of I figured the valet service would have been available on such a busy day. Nope! Waiter and waitress were attentive and nice! We are huge fans of crab cakes so we ordered one as an appetizer. I give it a 7.2 at $21 it should be much better. Main course my wife ordered Salmon and I had the filet. I asked for medium rare and it was delivered medium at best. A nice cut of meat like I ordered should be able to be cut with a fork. This 10oz portion needed a sharp knife. My wife enjoyed the Salmon but not fond of the mushrooms under the fish. They were rubbery. We ordered the carrot cake and cappuccinos for desert. It was almost frozen but the coffee was hot. We asked the waitress if the carrot cake was made in-house. She said it was freshly made daily but put in the freezer to make the icing stick. My wife had a 2 glasses of wine and I had a Crown/ 7. Tab $200.43 tip was &40.00
We went for a late Valentines lunch. We had the Chateaubriand. The waiter brought this out and asked
If we wanted it sliced or just cut in half. First I’ve never been to a restaurant where it was just cut in half. We said sliced. He had a cutting board and a knife. The knife appeared extremely dull. It was quite embarrassing watching him struggle. At one point I said I hoped
the meat was not as tough as he was making it look. My husband wanted to offer him his steak knife. He actually took the end of the knife and stabbed it in the top of the roast at one point so he could make another cut. The whole meal was no longer hot by the time he finally plated it. The food was tasty but probably would not order this again. I’d rather have hot food.
Valentines lunch with my wife of 36 years
We were celebrating our Anniversary and Birthday’s. B & B made it a very special occasion for us. The service and food was exceptional. We truly had a great time. I’ll share this place with my family and friends!
