Delicious, high class, elegant, affordable, accessible. We are lucky to have such a restaurant close by. Highly recommended.
The service was inconsistent. The veggie option prepared by the chef was lackluster.
Food is outstanding. Service was ehh... The food quality was superb. One of the best meals I have had in a long time. Unfortunately, the service was not on par with the food quality. I started with the crab cake, which was paired with collard greens and bacon. It was a delicious combination. For the main course, I had a T-bone that was supposed to be accompanied with a side of bone marrow, as described by our waitress. When I asked about the status of the bone marrow, the server changed her story and said it was in the sauce. Service was extremely poor for a meal of this caliber. The bread service by the assistant waiter was flawless and set the stage for a fine dining experience. Unfortunately, the good quality service stopped there. Our server failed to open our wine to breathe, as requested. She did not present the specials, and when asked to describe the entree, she provided misinformation. She was rarely seen during the evening, and when we got the check, she had charges us for cocktails we did not have. Unfortunate since we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. Prices are very expensive. I don’t mind paying for exceptional food, which this was, but I expect the service to match the food quality and cost.
It was amazing
Mothers Day 2018 for dinner. Abbreviated menu but more than adequate. My wife chose the salmon and I had scallops. Both were fantastic. The service was excellent, and "just right" -- never hovering, but always available if needed. We were visited and given a nice welcome by the manager. We are foodies, and little things during the dining experience mean a lot. Azurea checked all the boxes.
The staff was VERY attentive. Everyone from the hostess to the food and bev. mgr. was great. Keep it up. We will be returning.
They were out of scallops, oysters, and grouper. Sea Bass slightly over cooked and risotto was a bit stiff.
We made a reservation for 12pm, however we were not seated until 12:20. Our server was less than friendly. Never introduced herself and was not very attentive when taking our orders. We ordered bottomless mimosas however our drinks were barely refilled. Our server was not very attentive to our party and the resturant was not busy. We spoke to management who assisted in getting our drinks refilled however the damage was already done. I've been here several times and have never received such awful service. We will not be back.
This place where it all began. New brunch menu is cool but the Service sold me yet again and every time. I think her name was Alicia-please charge my heart I am not good with names - was my server. She was so awesome and warm. Very personal and we had a couple laughs. And it was the perfect time of day.
We had a perfect evening! The food was delicious and the service was excellent. We had dinner outside and watched dolphins in the ocean - we could not have had a better experience!
Everything was as expected!
Great place. Steak was great service was great. Outside dining is great in the spring.
The food was excellent . Perfect service . Amazing view . Very quiet .
Azurea is a beautiful restaurant inside of a beautiful hotel with impeccable views and service. It is definitely one to revisit.
The food was really good; had great flavor and the portions aren't too small. It is definitely pricey, but you can easily control how much you spend. They have a lot of seafood options, but also have simple things if you aren't into seafood. There crab cake was really good and you get complementary bread. The servers were really nice, informative, and handled this group of teenagers very well. There are a ton of pictures opportunity areas and there's a great view.
Azurea never disappoints. A place I frequently meet clients for lunch since weekdays are quiet and the staff is very attentive without interrupting the flow of conversation.
Dinner was to fancy and not that great.
We had a great Easter breakfast. Food was excellent and service too!
Unique appetizers. My fish was rather dry.
Very disappointed in the ‘winter salad’ - dressing was somewhat tasteless - so I would skip it in the future
My husband and I ate there for the first time to celebrate our 18th wedding anniversary this past weekend. The hostess and server acknowledged our special occasion with a card signed by the staff and a lovely dessert. The bread basket and spread was amazing, and I admit I got filled up on that course before I even got my main entree - the Mixed Grill. Everything tasted fresh and was seasoned just right. A great experience overall!
It was good food and the presentation was excellent
It was great except the hostess did not check me in on Open Table and that caused an unnecessary problem!
Our waiter - Victor - was amazing and really made this a fun meal with friends. However the food was just so so which was a huge disappointment as everything sounded so delicious per the menu and Victor's descriptions. The best items were the cocktails and the bread "program" which was very impressive. But bread really should not have been the meal highlight.
We stayed at the hotel for one night and booked a reservation for our one year wedding anniversary and notated it was our anniversary in the booking. Most high end restaurants will acknowledge when it’s someone’s anniversary but we received no acknowledgement even though I’ve seen reviews where other people’s anniversary was acknowledged at this restaurant.
The food was either overly spiced or not seasoned enough (no happy middle). The tuna tar tar had strange fatty skin pieces I’ve never seen before at any other restaurant (this definitely should have been cut off prior to serving).
I think this restaurant really needs to evaluate their chefs, menu, and service if they want to remain high end at high end prices. For such a high end restaurant I’ve never been served such poor tasting food before. Service was not specialized in any kind of way.
Service was slow and the room was cold. Food was pretty good but not great.
Cocktails poorly mixed. Sauces were scanty. Unimpressed for the price. Waitstaff was excellent.
My girlfriend went there for dinner as an impromptu date. We had never eaten here before, but we enjoy fine dining. We were blown away. The manager was amazing, bringing my girlfriend different wines to just try so she could find one she likes. The food was amazing, the presentation was perfect. And mind you, we showed up to the restaraunt at 9:00 pm... And we got the same service we would have received at 6:00pm. And that speaks volumes about a restaurant. Definitely going to be going here regularly now.
Business meal at One Ocean. Food is very good as well as service. Place was fairly empty for a Thursday night meal which actually helped with our dinner conversation - very quiet. My favorite fish place at the beach is Eleven South - Azurea is very good but not quite up to the standards set by Eleven South.
Valentine’s Day dinner was beautiful and tasteful 5 course dinner.
Waited a half hour for food. Never saw original waitress after she took the order.
Manager was so upset he did not charge me
Azurea is close to our home and I chose to have my birthday dinner there on Monday evening. We had four people in our party and everyone got some kind of seafood. We started with salads we shared which were very fresh with light vinaigrette. I had asked for gluten free options in my reservation and the restaurant was very accommodating with this issue. Although we didn’t ask for bread our server Hannah brought it out including a gluten free basket. The best part of this was all the spreads they serve with the bread. There were some fabulous deserts along with a tray of truffles to pass around. Decaf cappuccino was a perfect close. Hannah was so accommodating and made the night a special occasion .
Victor was our server, he really made our night. He offered great suggestions, catered to our needs and treated us like we were old friends. I would go back just for the service!
This was fine dining with great service from reservations to seating to food quality and the whole experience was wonderful. Inventive and unusual food combinations that were superb.
The bar staff and our waiter Victor were amazing. The fillet was way over cooked though. Food was overpriced for the execution and quality.
Walked through the blue tunnel to a beautiful dining room. The restaurant is for foodies - lots of chef extras, including chocolates at the end of the meal. Loved the house specialty sea bass. Wine was wonderful. Overall an exceptional dining experience.
We picked the restaurant for our anniversary dinner. The food and service were excellent, very pleased with our dinner.
The disappointment of the evening was the noise level. The lounge is next to the dining area and there is nothing blocking the noise and it was very loud in the bar that night.
Excellent food and service! Victor was our waiter and we were delighted that he was on our anniversary. He made it an even more special evening 😊
One of my favorite restaurants in Jax. A little energetic tonight and on the weekends. Love the bar area and the vibe.
