Restaurant is very nice but they left me a voicemail reminding me the dress code was business casual. I did not allow my family to even wear jeans. And then half the customers had on shorts and flip-flops. For the price they charge and don’t want to see people’s toe nails. So either enforce the business casual rule they told me in voice mail or change the business model to a casual (and much cheaper) restaurant.
The service is always very good. I had Alyssia this time and she has such a pleasant and friendly style that I routinely ask for her. The entire team is there also to pitch in when needed and I really appreciate that. The view of the ocean, nice restaurant, good food, great service, and nice patrons makes this place special.
Third time dining at Azurea, once for a business dinner , twice before on a date. Food was delicious as usual, but service was Superb! Our British server whom we had last time as well, was gracious and impeccable throughout the meal. My colleagues were very impressed at the elegance of the decor, service and presentation.
Azurea did not disappoint; everything, food, service, ambiance was perfect! I have to find more occasions to come to Jacksonville, just so I can visit this award-winning, hidden gem on the beach. I had the mahi prepared 3 different ways and what's the word for damn, that's good? Thanks for making my special day awesome Azurea!
Alicia the server was wonderful! The ambiance is nice and relaxing. We were a bit disappointed that we read that every single table had an ocean views. There is no ocean view at this level of the resort. You do see sand dunes and sea oats waving in the breeze with the multiple floor to ceiling glass windows. The brunch Benedict portions are small. The French Toast was very hearty and filling. Bonus: you’ve got to love the Bottomless Mimosas.
Food, service and environment were amazing! Great for special occasions or a romantic dinner.
Fabulous. Our server was Tiffany and everything was great.
Great service & attention to detail. Scenic view of ocean, amazing. Underwhelmed by some of meals, that were designated “signature” dishes, they were just good. Some of our parties dishes rose to level of very good. Can’t say enough about staff....super helpful & attentive! At this price point food needs to be in the “amazing” category, and they missed the mark. We will try again.
We had a very enjoyable dinner celebrating a special occasion; food was excellent, service (Anita) was very attentive and made good recommendations. Food was very artistically displayed. Ambiance at the booth looking out at the sea oats on the dunes was very relaxing. Loved the crab cakes, fried oysters for appetizers, and sea bass for entrée. Can't wait for next special occasion.
Wonderful experience actually even on of the best my husband and I have ever had going out on a date night and this time it was our anniversary. Our server Anita was beyond amazing. Truly a professional. She knew the menu top to bottom and her recommendations hit the spot. Every time our meal would come out it was perfectly timed. We didn’t have to sit and wait. Would highly recommend.
The beet salad with fresh mozzarella and Arugula was very delicious before our main course.
Valet is included if your dining in with a reservation which is also a awesome. The hotel is beautiful and so is the restaurant. Overall 10 out of 5!
Thank you for an incredible experience l!
Entire staff from hostess to table servers were friendly, attentive and efficient. In particular, our waitress, Hannah, was as good on all counts as any we've had in Jacksonville.
We had read reviews and with high hopes made reservations for dinner. When we got there we were greeted and sat immediately. All was going well. They told us the special however stumbled through it quite a bit. Told us the fish special was black cod which was also a main dish on the menu, so not sure it was so special.. tried placing our meal order but I was told the chef “86d” that (duck spring rolls). Not being in the restaurant industry I had to ask what that meant? So I just got shrimp skewers instead.
Our appetizer came out my friend got a salad, presentation was nice. I ordered the corn bisque it was warm not hot. I would have sent it back had we been checked on quicker. Our meal came out and my shrimp were also just warm - I ate one shrimp and just gave up on dinner at that point. At the beginning we were thinking about desert but instead we left and went to have desert somewhere else.
I’m not a real complainer at all but I’m shocked at the sort of reviews this place gets. Do not recommend.
Outstanding dining! The service and ambience were great!
Truly an amazing dinner and wonderful staff. One of the best kept secrets in Jacksonville.
Excellent food very flavorful waitress Anita very attentive not overly so perfect job. Desert was marvelous macaroon.
Very much enjoyed our time and we'll definitely plan on coming back again.
Hannah was A+ as our server!!
Compliments to the chef!!
Our server, Ryan was fantastic! He was very knowledgeable about the menu items and drink selection. He provided the perfect amount of attention to us during our dinner.
13th anniversary dinner with my wife. Hannah was our server and she was fantastic. They also did some nice things in recognition of our anniversary.
My wife and I celebrated our 31st Anniversary on July 4th. It was a great experience the food was awesome as usual, service was a little slow.
Romantic, 5-star cuisine with best ocean view. Be sure to book in advance!
A beautiful room with a grand entry that really sets the stage. Seafood entrees were cooked perfectly. A steak special was also excellent for those who do not like seafood. Service was excellent and unhurried.
Wonderful very positive fine dining experience! Perfect for special occasions any time of year.
It was so so cold my entire family was freezing inside in June in Florida! Otherwise it was a nice experience
Outstanding food and atmosphere...celebrating our anniversary. Was perfect! Wait staff was friendly and attentive to any requests.
We were excited to enjoy a family Sunday Brunch at Azurea as it is highly recommended as one of Jacksonville's top brunch restaurants. The restaurant itself is very beautiful, with great light and views.
The service was terrible. Half of our table received their Mimosas and the people who ordered Bloody Mary's didn't get theirs until the Mimosa group ordered their second round. There were long spans of time with us not seeing our waitress.
It took a very long time to get our food and all but one of six plates were wrong and mixed up (scrambled vs. sunny side up eggs, sausage vs. bacon, no toast vs. toast, my meal came missing a side item all together). I don't see how you can go wrong with breakfast items, but this place did. The quality of the food was "meh".
It is disappointing to go to such a nice location that is highly esteemed and get bad service and bad food. Unfortunately I will not be returning to this restaurant.
Our experience was amazing! My wife and I celebrated our 12th wedding anniversary. When we arrived, Adel the hostess, greeted us with a big beautiful smile and wished us “Happy Anniversary!”
Our server, Rei, was beyond helpful and attentive. When our dinner was served, the presentation was on point! The sea bass was perfectly seared and the scallops had a smokiness to die for!
Before we left for dinner, there was a personalized card waiting for us that wished us beautiful sentiments of our special occasion! The intimate time the staff took to cater to us as if we were the only ones there was impeccable.
Oh! Let’s not forget the view! The view was calming, romantic, and encompassing. It was so sweet, we didn’t even need desert!
Thanks so much to the staff at One Ocean and Azurea; it was definitely worth it!
We will definitely be back the next time we are in Jacksonville!
We love to try new restaurants all over the city. Azurea has been on our list for a while. Normally, I would have just taken my fiance and myself to an expensive dining experience to save on costs, but occasionally we like our 3 kids to get the experience as well. Service was very good. We were seated promptly and our server was attentive. Our crab cevice was awesome, so was our crab cake appetizer. The drinks were spot on and delicious. However, the main course left something to be desired. My sea bass was pretty decent, but nothing to write home about. However, my fiance and the 3 kids all ordered the mixed seafood grill. This is where the problem lies. They all liked the prawns, but the fish was so dry that they didnt even finish it. This was consistent on all their plates. Because we were expecting to go on the beach before sunset and have a surprise proposal, no one complained, so in the restaurant's defense, I did not give them an opportunity to fix it. However, at $30+ a plate, and all of them having the same complaint, im not sure I want to take that chance again.
Incredible food and menu. Five star dining experience. Wonderful food and wine pairing. Top rated service and hospitality.
I’m not usually one to leave bad reviews, but this was for Father’s Day and I was so disappointed. I don’t know if they were short staffed but that seems irresponsible when your diners are required to make reservations. We waited to be seated, we waited for linens, we waited for a waitress to bring drinks and on and on. Our reservations were for 12:30 and we finally finished at 2:30, for brunch/lunch. We’ve been here for dinner several times and have always enjoyed the excellent service and food. Today, the food was extremely below par compared to our past dinner visits. I can not recommend Azurea for brunch/lunch based on this experience.
We had Father’s Day brunch at Azurea and the entire experience was amazing. We arrived early and the hostess was cordial and had no problem seating us ahead of our scheduled time. My Seafood Cobb Salad was the best I have ever tasted. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his Grilled Tenderloin Eggs Benedict. Azurea will definitely be a place we plan to visit often.
Overall the experience was good. Was disappointed that the menu says lobster tail Benedict but I was actually served lobster claw Benedict. However, good coffee, nice view and updated decor made for a memorable fathers day brunch.
the restaurant was extremely short staffed. We waited over 30 minutes for our entrees and another 30 minutes for our coffees. One entrée of eggplant parm was to be served with quinoa and we requested no carbs. It was then served over rice. The seafood grill was not hot. For such a beautiful location its a shame the food doesn't measure up.
Excellent food, good service, very loud. All the food was first-rate with the exception of the salads. Very poor sound control - one loud party almost ruined the evening for several tables. Need some sound dampening. The entree (sea bass) was beautifully prepared and served.
My wife to be bacherlorette party. Outstanding service food and ambience.
Heard a lot about this restaurant, and I wasn't disappointed. Took friend for a romantic birthday dinner and she loved it! Food was pretty good and the service was phenomenal... our server was awesome! The staff helped with making my date feel special throughout the entire experience. I will be going back to Azurea but only for special occasions.
We were a party of 4. While the food was very good, the service was extremely slow. One of our party waited at least 10 minutes for his scotch. The amuse bouche plates were not taken until we finished our first course and we had to tell the server to take them. The noise level was so high that we could not have a good conversation and the restaurant was not very crowded. I would not return for dinner. I have been there for lunch and it is a much better experience.
2nd time we went for dinner with friends.
The wait staff is exceptional, the food fantastic, ambiance great....
All in all, a great place!
Memorable anniversary dinner. Food was excellent. Server (Kat) was great with one minor kitchen issue on the appetizer that was more than made up for with overall superb experience. Nice wines by the glass. Will definitely go back.
Beautiful setting and ocean view. Food was good and wait staff attentive.
Celebrating a wonderful new teacher on her last day of school! It was a very enjoyable, relaxing and delicious experience.
