Hannah was our waitress and she was spectacular! We moved from a 2 table top to a booth to be able to be closer to each other and the food was just outstanding! The chief stopped by our table to check on us. I would definitely go back and would want Hannah to be our server again.
Chef and somm were fantastic. We were disappointed in the 20 min wait to be seated with a reservation. Other than that, service was fantastic, and food was wonderful!
Arrived at 8:45pm for a 9pm reservation. Was not seated until 9:30pm (told multiple times they were getting our perfect table ready). Watched them clean off possibly the worst table seconds before bringing us over. Waited ten more minutes for water and anyone to talk to us. The place was half empty by that time, but every course they brought out seemed to take longer and longer. Food was not the right temperature, and my wife got a piece of shell stuck in her teeth (wan't suppose to be shell in the dish). More attention was given to the loud drunk couple right behind us. Way overpriced, but we knew that going in, as we celebrated our last Valentines Day there and enjoyed it. Thanks for the extra boxed up dessert, but we will not be going back.
The staff was incredible and the service was spectacular. The sommelier was great as well regarding the wine pairing. However the food was definitely disappointing. The had a 5 or 6 course price fixe meal that under delivered by a lot. The salad offering with a warm poached egg was great. the mushroom bisque left a lot to be desired. It was barely warm and had been peppered way too much, and literally almost no mushroom flavor. The Lobster en croute was a 50/50 proposition. While the lobster was plentiful and very tasty the pastry it was served in failed to deliver. It was bland and very soggy from the lobster sitting in t for so long. The entree, Chateaubriand was also barely warm, and the aus juice was almost a solid. They did cook the meat to a good medium rare, but again you could tell it had been sitting there awhile. I honestly think the issue for the entire service was that many of the dishes were made too far in advance, and when it was served did not come out right off the grill/stove, etc....The wine service and pairing was excellent though, and they did a great job with that.
First Valentine’s Day as a formal couple. I asked for a romantic surprise dessert for my boyfriend and they done it very well
I highly recommend this place.
Had a wonderful birthday celebration!
Our server was great and very cheerful!
The Octopus was amazing!!! Actually, everything tasted amazing!
Excellent dining experience with our server Hannah. The veal porterhouse was tender and flavorful. The service was delightfully formal and polite, which was very appropriate for our business dinner.
This place never disappoints. The service is always top notch and the food is delicious. It was a perfect spot for a romantic dinner!
Great menu. Wonderful presentation and great preparation of high quality ingredients. Pricey, but you get what you pay for. Great special occasion restaurant. Beautiful dining environment with a nice view. Anita, our server was knowledgeable of the menu and wine list. Service was prompt and accurate. A very enjoyable evening.
Although we had not given the required 24 hours notice the Chef made the 5 course tasting menu and it was outstanding. Our waitress who had a. German accent provided superior service.
Dining in Azurea was an absolute joy of an experience. I look forward to dining there again in the near future
Outstanding meal and service
The service at Azurea was outstanding! The food was absolutely divine! It was fairly quiet so we were able to converse without straining! Wonderful evening all the way around!
The service was subpar. It took 5 of us almost three hours to eat. The atmosphere is amazing. Food was decent.
Went there to celebrate my birthday as well as my boyfriends and the server Tiffany was amazing! Had a great lunch. Dessert presentation and taste was off the charts amazing! Highly recommend especially for a special occasion the attention to detail is fantastic. The view is terrific they offered to take pictures of us it made for a really special day! Highly recommend.
Azurea was a very nice dining experience. While entrees are pricier than their surrounding competitors, ultimately we found it to be a good value as well. The food was that good.
Went for our anniversary and the atmosphere was really nice. We had a great waitress Anita who was helpful and went out of her way to make our anniversary dinner very special. Would definitely recommend.
Food was good, however for the price, it wasnt exceptional.
When I reserved, I notes the dress code, which was fine. I had already told my husband "no jeans or t-shirts" for our weekend dinners. I even received a call confirming our reservation and sttongly reiterating the dress code. In spite of that, at least 3 parties were seated wearing jeans, all of whom appeared to be walk-ins. None of these were "dressy jeans."
Because the dining room was being refurbished we were seated in the lounge and the noise level was fairly high. Nonetheless, the service from Anita was excellent and the food and presentation was top knotch as usual.
Still consider this restaurant the best at the beach and in the top 5 in the Jacksonville area.
We had a lovely lunch overlooking the Ocean. Our hostess and waiter were excellent! Our drinks and food were served in a timely manner and everything was delicious!
The menu has changed to be very healthy and local - great! The salmon, halibut, lamb and chop were cooked perfect. Bread was amazing.
Service could use improving - and it was a bar problem - took forever to get a cocktail. Then forever to get a second one. Also the price of the drinks were outrageous! ($18 for a basic on the rocks - really!!!) Waitress wasn't attentive. And why can't bread be brought when cocktails are delivered????
Dessert menu needs improving...not much of a selection.
We had a wonderful meal and the service was excellent
Anita is the best server ever!! Our party of four had a wonderful time with the special chef's menu and wine pairings. Each of the five courses exceeded the prior one...marvelous. Anita made it interesting, informative and fun. We have already recommended the restaurant to friends and we will definitely return.
We were at Azurea for brunch on New Year's Eve, and there were four in our party. Everyone got something different (crab cake benedict, smoked salmon benedict, lobster and brie omelet and one with the Atlantic (2 eggs any style, hash browns, toast and choice of meat). Everything was absolutely delicious. Kat was our server and we will certainly be looking for her when we return.
This place was awesome!!! We were here for my partner’s birthday. The waiter, Anita made us feel so comfortable with ordering. The food came quickly and it was so good! We had soup first. It was so delicious and fresh. Everything served was fresh! The entree was fish and it melted in our mouths. We ended with chocolate Birthday cake at the end. Such a great night. I would recommend highly to anyone. Plz get Anita as your waitress, she’s so knowledgeable! We had the best time.
Disappointed in the seating we were given. The person who serviced us was excellent which offset the disappointment
We arrived for our 1:00 reservation on Christmas Day, believing that we had reserved for brunch. Our server Kat checked immediately with the chef to make sure we could be accommodated and we were able to order delicious brunch entrees. Our service was OUTSTANDING in every way, and it was a delightful experience for my 92 year old mother. Thank you to everyone for a lovely day!
This is our second Christmas day lunch and I am sure the tradition will continue. Family loves that there are brunch entrees as well as full menu served if you are seated before 1pm. After 1pm dinner entrees only. My husband and I also dine here for anniversary as well. Love the seasonal menu. Service and food are always spot on. Only drawback, and it's a small one is the noise level.
My husband and I had dinner at Azurea on Christmas Eve and they made it very special.
Service was phenomenal, food fantastic and with so many flavors. Definitely our best
Christmas Eve experience since moving down to FL from CT 2 1/2 years ago.
Will be our new go-to place.
Service was very rushed. Food was not prepared as described on the menu. Food arrived lukewarm. Server was polite but rushed the meal along. It was Christmas Eve dinner and my wife and I were seated and out in an hour-after appetizers, entree, and coffees. The prices were among the highest in JAX Beach/Ponte Vedra Beach. Very poor value overall.
Overall great experience. I was greeted by Stephen, who was very accommodating as I explained my guest was stuck at the airport. I finally decided to dine without them as their flight was delayed. The hostess Tia sat me and was very pleasant and helped explain the menu. My server Kat was also very pleasant and accommodating. The food was very good, everyone was energetic and helpful, and the atmosphere is hard to beat. I will definitely be back...
We come here every year for our anniversary. Service is always exceptional. Manager welcomed us and made sure everything was just right. Anita was our server and made sure it was a special evening. Couldn't have been better. Food is out of this world. All in all, best restaurant in Jacksonville.
It was a great dinning experience! staff made our Marine son’s birthday and his girlfriend’s nursing school graduation really special.Good foods and excellent service! Kudos to all the staff of Azurea Restaurant..thank you so much guys!
Amazing food, great service and ambiance, loved Anita!
The service was outstanding. The restaurant is so not busy the hostess looked almost like we had woken her up. The server, Nancy I think, is very knowledgeable about the menu. The menu pairings in the mains don’t make sense and lack imagination. A “butter herb sauce” was a bowl of melted butter. So overpriced. The they need to adjust prices or get a new chef because the price is not warranted. The pastry chef knows what’s up though! Black Forest is amazing.
Overall good service, but not the best of food or options on drinks menu. Great views.
Tried this restaurant on a whim because I felt like something different. Food was great, service was friendly, and the ambiance was very nice. Furnishings are dated but the view makes up for it!
After a bad experience 6 weeks ago, we were well-served this visit. The food was outstanding as was our server, Ryan. I think they're back on their game and the previous visit was the anomaly.
Outstanding food and great service. Our waiter, Ryan, is an all-star!
