With rich, dark green walls, elaborate décor and plush banquette seating, Ayllu is a Japanese-Peruvian fusion restaurant serving contemporary sharing plates, sushi and innovative cocktails.

The cosy restaurant is built around the traditions of the Ayllu community of the Inca Empire. The Ayllu was a group of families that lived together, worked the land together and shared their belongings and mealtimes, just like a large family. Much like the Incan civilisation, Ayllu is about the coming together of friends and families and taking time to share an experience of great food and innovative cocktails with loved ones.

Drawing on the inspiration of the Ayllu community, the menu consists of innovative small plates, designed for the whole table to share. Traditional Peruvian flavours are paired with Japanese influences, bringing fresh and zesty aromas to each dish.

    This restaurant was absolutely amazing! The food was delicious, and the experience exceeded all our expectations. It was our first visit, and we were blown away. The restaurant itself is beautiful , from the decor to the warm, welcoming atmosphere. Special mention to the two waiters who looked after us downstairs. I wish I could remember their names because they were fantastic. The service was superb from start to finish. We honestly expected a huge bill, but it was such great value for money. Next time, we’re definitely trying the steaks and all the extras because everything we saw looked incredible. We regret not staying for dessert, we went elsewhere for that and were disappointed. Lesson learned: next time we’re having everything right here! Highly recommend. We’ll definitely be back.

    Great food, great services - service was on time Everything tasted very Fresh. I recommend the sashimi, great and healthy meal also very tasty , and the rolls are all great! We will visit again!

    The dinner was somewhat disappointing. Considering I ordered the Machu Picchu tasting menu, the only item that even remotely resembled Peruvian cuisine was the ceviche — and while it was far from perfect, at least it evoked some memory of Peru. The sushi was a complete letdown — dry, tasteless, and comparable to the discounted packs you might find at Tesco at the end of the day. The only truly positive note was the bartender, who deserves a mention for excellent service.

    My friend ordered the beef main course and it was awful - the base of the beef was burnt and hard - we did this off the final bill - but not great. Also we had a good waiter but wasn't impressed with the general manner of the service overall from others.

    Just had an amazing dinner here. The place is very beautiful, simple but elegant. Sushi is one of the best i’ever had. The Menu also have available south American dishes like ceviches. A dinner to remember

    In a town with so many Asian-cuisine options, the place is definitely one of the best I've tried. Even though is a bit far from the very central area (but close to the Kensington gardens), the place is worth visiting if you're looking for good sushi.

    Visited this place for the first time. Very fast service. The sushi was amazing. The place really had a Japanese decor and it was really nice. Very relaxed atmosphere too. The good thing is that they also have a Peruvian cuisine.Strongly reccomend!

    Staff is nice, friendly and helpful. The food is prepared quickly and is delicious. They also offer great selection of cocktails which we also tried and were happy with. A great gem in Paddington!
