At Austin's, we've been cooking the old fashioned way since 1994. We start with the freshest ingredients we can find, delivered to our kitchen each day of the week. We make everything on our menu from scratch, every day. We grill over hardwood, not gas, the way that it was a long time ago. It may not be the fastest or least expensive way to do business, but for us, it is the only way. We want each meal you enjoy with us to be a memorable and delicious one; so we work hard preparing each dish to order, smoking ribs and brisket, filleting fresh fish, hand cutting steaks, preparing homemade soups daily and baking our fresh breads and desserts. Its a difference you can taste and one we hope you will keep coming back for. At Austin's, everything we do, we do because our customers deserve it. We serve only Black Angus or USDA Prime beef. Prime beef is the highest USDA beef grade and is the best quality of beef you can find. It is tender and juicy because of the marbling (fat), and has a rich meaty flavor. Hand cut in-house, seasoned with Austin's 5~spice blend and finished with our steak butter. Had a small group for a birthday dinner. It was a Tuesday so most had the strip steak special. Ordered steak medium, it was medium rare but tasty. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Service took a bit longer than I would have liked but it was very busy for a week night.

First time for me but my wife had been there before. Excellent service. Food was very tasty. I had brisket and Mac N Cheese. Not very much brisket but it was very good. My wife just had a burger which she said was very good. We will repeat and try other dishes.

Music was being played very loud. It was very difficult trying to have a conversation with my lady friend. You need to eliminate the music. Loud enough with people talking. I don’t want have to shout across the table.

For my first trip to Mentor, I was thrilled to have found this gem of a restaurant. My teenaged son and I were looking for a good steakhouse for dinner on a Friday night, and this was perfect. He had a ribeye cooked just the way he ordered it medium rare, and I had the crab stuffed orange roughy. Wonderfully quick, helpful, and friendly service. Would definitely go back again, in fact we would have gotten lunch to go on our way out of town the next day, but they don't open until 4 pm. So until next time...

We have eaten at Auston's Grill in Mentor four times throughout the past year, and we have always found the experience five star. Everyone from the hostess and the servers to the manager make it their mission to provide exceptional service. On top of the excellent service, the food has always been been delicious. The menu provides a wide variety of choices with new items and specials added throughout the year. We purchase gift certificates to the restaurant to give as gifts.

Everything was fine but there’s always someone who has to be on their cell and let everyone hear the conversation. It only lasted 7-8 minutes but was annoying.
