Great new place to eat in Santana Row! Everything was delightful. Only suggestion is to add more vegetarian options (not more salads) plated foods would make it so much better. Otherwise, great location and experience.

Great experience for a birthday lunch with a group of 9. Our table was well located outside and a birthday card was on the table for our birthday girl. From sparkling wine, appetizers, our meals, and dessert, all was delicious and beautifully presented. Our server Bacilio was very helpful and fun.

This was our second dinner visit. The service was better than last time. Our waitress was more professional but, like last time, bus people were not too speedy with clearing away dirty plates, replacing dishes, flatware, etc. The next course would come out, and the plates and serving ware from last time was still there with no place to put the incoming food. Ensuing confusion. Augustine really needs to step up the service. Train your staff to be more professional and attentive. The sommelier was knowledgeable and helpful. The food overall was better than last time. There have been some menu changes too. Classic caviar was good like last visit. We also tried the fried chicken and caviar combination. Personally I am not a fan, and will stick with the classic or try the one with Kettle chips for something different. The scallops were delicious! The squash tart was surprisingly tasty although a bit over baked. Others in our party liked the shank. The grilled oysters were a bit on the fishy side for some of us. Eggplant parm was decent. The menu is eclectic. Maybe too much so. I would prefer that it is made more clear what is a small plate and what is an entree in terms of planning out your meal. Most items are rather pricey for the quality and portion size, particularly the more pedestrian items, like eggplant parmesan, that don’t have expensive ingredients and/or a lot of preparation required. The restaurant itself is beautiful! Love the color scheme, lighting and chic supper club feel. The outside patio is pleasant but can be loud with pedestrians and traffic sounds on the Row. Augustine can be a great place with a bit of work and a more even menu.

It's always a fabulous experience at Augustine; it has quickly become my favorite restaurant in San Jose (I was here just yesterday!). From the first connection with the hostess, to the friendly greetings by the busboys and servers and all throughout the delicious meals, the pace is timed perfectly so as not to feel rushed. Being mostly vegetarian, my favorite dish is the spinach quiche, served with a small side salad, but there are also great options for meat and fish lovers. Full bar, fine wines by the glass or bottle. All in all, simply delightful. Just go!

Augustine has a lovely ambiance and a great menu. I weas looking forward to dining at Augustine as there are not many luncheon choices with formal menus and I have frequent business lunches. With that said, I doubt I will be dining at Augustine again. The temperature that day was around 90 degrees. My party was seated at the back of the restaurant. It was sweltering inside. It was so uncomfortable that I was unable to enjoy my meal. I complained several times. First, I was told that it was because the door was open, which made no sense. Later, I was told that the air conditioning was cranked up as far as it would go, which made no sense. Other diners near us were uncomfortable as well. Bottom line, it was a miserable experience. Unless Augustine can send me a written reply with an assurance that their atmosphere will be more temperate, I don't plan on returning.

We have had dinner at this place a few times and everything was to our satisfaction. We tried breakfast at this place for the first time and were very disappointed. It was not worth the money at all. Our Lattes were cold and so was the food. And it was nothing special. Augustine is a good place for dinner and has a good coffee shop but for breakfast it is not worth it at all. We were very disappointed.
