We absolutely loved our entire experience at Auburn. Gorgeous room, attentive but not overbearing service from Gail and team, and inventive courses beautifully plated, all timed perfectly. We will be back!
Great experience with a unique twist on a tasting menu. A choose your own adventure of sorts keeps the feeling casual. Delicious food and very nice presentation and ambiance. A must try
Lovely restaurant with beautiful, delicious food.
Stunning choice for a special Birthday dinner! A bit noisy and too hip a sound track for me.
Very creative food, inspiring decor and attentive service (my water glass was never less than half empty)
Beef dish was the only one No good, should not use Nori seaweed w beef . Nori has a strong flavor , snake river meat has only fat taste . No red meat taste . But everything else was outstanding. Paring was perfect for the price .
Sake paired w Japanese fish dish was just ok, . I like Hakkaisan myself, but doesn’t need to be bobble one , its not real bubble , Co2 type . Real bubble Sake in Japan are so much different . Maybe just trying to surprise the customer . I know we can not get the real bubble one here in this country. Should be use regular dry Sake.
Rick ( Somlier ) did good job for paring , always happy to meet the great “Mariage “ when you go to french or Italy .
Of course they pick up the wine w limited price , its tough
I would like to come back soon for good food & good somlier & services , Thank u guys ..
Excellent inventive and memorable food, ambiance and service. A truly exceptional meal. Expensive. Would go again for special occasion.
Another casual dinner at the bar with my BF. We love stopping in for a great cocktail, tasty bar menu food and each dish is amazing. The bread and herb butter is amazing. It's the best bread in town, seriously! The abolone mushrooms were "an Umami bomb." The beef short ribs is as perfect and delightful for the 6th time. The apple dessert is so uniquely presented, classic flavors and so lovely. Hope that stays permanently on the menu. Finally, can't wait to check out the new brunch service. Thanks to Jay, the bartender, for lovely conversation and suggestions!
Overall an great experience. All dishes are interesting and well balanced. The cod was a little under seasoned. Ambiance is amazing. Service is good but lacks attention to details.
I went brunch to try the food. Everything was expecting so good.
Amazing food, beautifully plated with amazing service. I am used to pricey restaurants, but over $400 for 3 and only 1 glass of wine for 1 of us is very high. Portions we also quite small. Breakfast was beter priced a d also delicious, the portions were larger
It was one of my friend’s birthday lunch and was fantastic.
I would go for lunch anyday but sad it’s only open on Fridays.
I definitely want to try for dinner sometime soon.
It’s for everyday casual meal & also for special events.
I love the atmosphere and food was so good too!
Best meal we have had in... I can't remember. It was amazing. Expensive as hell. But we had a great time. The service is as good as the food.
The food tastes is not good
Low key excellence, little on the quiet side. Amazing food. Great service
We took our very picky foodie friend to Auburn. We are always pretty nervous when choosing a restaurant for him! Many dishes elicited a “yum- this is delicious” response from him. The service was attentive, but non-intrusive. We did the 9 course with the higher end wine pairing which brought with it more thorough explanations of the wine by an extremely enjoyable and a knowledgeable wine steward! Love to muted interior. One tip- it is coolish in the restaurant so bring a warm wrap or jacket,
Overall experience was very good. Food was a 4.5, almost there but still very tasty. Ambience was great.
Every dish was delicious and the restaurant is beautiful. But how could we spend so much money and all four of us walk out hungry?
We had a great meal at Auburn! The service was exceptional. We ordered every dish (except dessert) on the tasting menu and found them all delicious.
Auburn is so good that I will contribute my rating, something that I don’t usually do. Our second visit, everything continues to be unique, creative, beautifully prepared. A restaurant that should be on everyone’s list to visit, and to visit often.
I’ve been to auburn twice now - once with for a business dinner, and I recently returned with my wife and my son. The ambiance is perfect in the dining room - active, but not too loud. There’s also a clear view to the kitchen and the overall decor is of high design in its simplicity and elegance. The service, from the basics like water, bread, and amuse-bouche, all the way through the full service and wine pairings was just exceptional.
The food of course is the star of the show and Chef Eric Bost has created an outstanding culinary journey. Every single dish was an experience all by itself, but the entire evening was just way beyond our expectations. I travel over 100K miles every year for business, and always make it a point to seek out Michelin Star or celebrity chef restaurants wherever I go, and auburn is in the top 1% of them.
Wonderful food in a stunning space...open view of the kitchen. Imaginative food beautifully prepared. Service was seamlessly provided by a friendly and well trained staff.
The food was excellent and each dish distinctive and original.
Our waiter was excellent.
The restaurant decor is lovely.
The maitre d' ? He didn't ever make eye contact, and roamed around the establishment with an energy totally at odds with the vision of the food and sense of place. Perhaps he's one of the owners? We did not feel welcome at all by this person...the intelligent food and our friendly waiter made the experience a positive one.
Everything was absolutely perfect. 10/10 do recommend
A truly special restaurant; amazing food and service. The creativity and flavor of the dishes are superb.
We've dined at Auburn for several times. We loved the food in the beginning, innovative and very tasty. While the service has been consistently great, the food is not as exciting as it used to be.
Chic. Modern. Delicious. Perfect service. Loved the abalone. Best bread in town.
An excellent experience from start to finish. Lovely venue, simple & elegant, keeping the focus on the food. Beautifully plated and delicious beyond description. Pricey, but worth it for a special occasion.
Really enjoyed the flexibility of their tasting menu. Great service without being stuffy or too casual.
Amazing food. Great atmosphere. Great service. Highly recommends!
An exceptional experience, one of the best meals I’ve had in 25 yrs. of dining in LA. The wine parings were spot on. The room is beautiful and , given the size of the restaurant remarkably quiet, I could actually hear my wife easily and none of the people in adjacent tables, what a surprise for LA!! I shall return!
Great food, great people! Thank you for a nice dining experience!
Everything was really good and the service was amazing. We will definitely return!
The best restaurant in LA!
The food and service were out of this world! 10 stars
Absolutely amazing food and beautiful restaurant. Probably one of the best in LA at this time.
Excellent meal, excellent service.
The staff, service , quality level on ingredients, Chef's creative and innovation makes Auburn in my opinion the best restaurant in Los Angeles. Thank you chef Eric for such amazing experience
