   Lovely location right on Kensington Gardens. Staff were attentive but also gave us space to stay & chat despite being a large group. They also gave me a mothers day treat which was very sweet.

   Really cute spot on the corner. I came here for the first time based on a recommendation and I absolutely loved it. The food was really good and the portion size was good too.

   I enjoyed the experience. Food was nice, though it was a bit expensive. I also like the restaurant atmosphere, but I would prefer quieter music. Perhaps, the volume of the music could be lowered.

   I had the Wagyu burger and fries and it was absolutely delicious. The burger melted in your mouth and the fries were hot and perfectly seasoned.

   OpenTable took the reservation. Once arrived at the scheduled 9pm, restaurant was closed and we knocked on the door. I could see employees in the restaurant. It was within business hours. All I can guess is that they were scared of Carnival.

   Poor ambience. Unprofessional waiter. Mixed up our order. Seriously over priced menu and drinks. Unbalanced wine list. Few lunchtime customers. Without doubt, destined to fail. Nothing to recommend it.

    Very disappointing, sky high prices for average food. Little ambiance, more like a railway station cafe. I can’t believe that a risotto could cost £22! The staff did their best and were helpful. I’m afraid we will not be recommending Aubaine to anyone unless you drastically reduce prices, or get in a Michelin star chef. David Wood and party.

    The service was great and staff were very communicative and helpful, but the food was mediocre at best — particularly if you consider the price tag. My main lacked taste and texture so I left half of it and our starter was accompanied by some very random components. Very poor for the price.

    The food was nice and so were all of the staff. However, the web page didn’t correspond to what the restaurant offered (e.g said they had bottomless brunch on the web page). It also clearly state when booking that you can book outside / inside which was met with confusion. Again, the staff was very nice to us and it’s not their fault that this restaurant is not a well oiled end to end operation so no shade on them. However the overall visit for the price was a little bit disappointing for things that could have been easily avoided.

    We were a group of 5p and had to wait for 45' before we could order. There was a very tense atmosphere in the restaurant. Not enough staff. Finally, after calling the waiter again, we asked if this was a restaurant and if we could order something. To make things easy, we only ordered 2 different dishes. After again 30' waiting, we received our meal : Ceaser salad : salad was only the hard inner part of a salad and 2 little peaces of chicken and one croquette, which tasted very strange. My companions ordered Wagyu burger. You could hardly find it on your plate because it was so small. The only thing which was nice were the french fries however, very small portion. Finally, the waiter offered us free drinks and free dessert which was most welcome. When we got the bill, I saw that they charged us 16pounds for 1 glass of rosé, which is rediculous as it was even not a good wine. So not happy at all!

    Thanks goodness the food was lovely, because we were really disappointed by the service. We were a table of 8 celebrating a birthday, and felt really rushed by the servers. We were told to hurry up and order before 2100, because they’d be too busy with room service if we ordered after. We were then given the bill at 2230, without asking for it, whilst we had just finished dessert and were mid conversation with full drinks… it felt like they were desperate to get rid of us! We had a friend join us who’s pregnant and also has allergies, so is careful with what she’s eats - she asked if there was raw egg in the Caesar dressing to which the server told us he didn’t know… almost just shrugged. I appreciate he may have not known the answer, but there’s a way to go about responding, especially when it’s regarding allergens! Like I said, food was good, just a shame about the lacking service, as it really does matter! I guess it explains why the were so quiet on a Saturday evening. We would go back to an Aubaine, but not to Notting Hill.

    Food was very good. Service on the whole was good. The restaurant is undergoing a refurbishment, so inevitably the overall environment/ambience was impacted. The menu was also impacted and shorter than normal. Restaurant should warn people they are being refurbished when you book, if it matters, you can then make a better choice.

    Lovely atmosphere and great service. When we said that the eggs florentine were not up to scratch they are very good about making sure what we ordered after that was to our liking. Fast and friendly service

    I have used Aubaine 3 times over the last 2 years to meet distant relatives (some for the first time) and it is ideal as the staff let us chat away and order with no rush and in a lovely ambience. The food and the drink are to a good standard, and it says a lot for your restaurant that we have travelled from out of London to your restaurant.

    Overall dissatisfied with the place. We ordered Eggs Royale in the Breakfast bundle, as well as an americano + omelette. For the bundle: the croissant was absolutely bland, cold, not airy and bubbly. Very much like buttery bread. The Eggs Royale has a weird-bitter-sweet Hollandaise sauce and the poached egg was overcooked (the yolk was solid). The omelette has almost no taste and was cold. I wanted tomatoes and cheese on the omelette and could not believe that 1 cherry tomato could cost £2. Basically very disappointed with the breakfast and the price. The coffee is another story. My americano was SO Bitter, I did not even drink a 1/3 of the cup. The beans evidently are not fresh and have been opened for quite a while. My friend’s mocha was also cold and extremely bitter, despite the chocolate powder. Please look into this critique and try and improve it.

    Really understaffed for sunday breakfast and very abrupt service. Food standard has really dropped but unfortunately not the prices so extremely poor value. What a shame as used to love Aubaine and used to recommend it to others.

    Service was very poor. Staff seemed uninterested and it felt like they didn't want to be there. Orders took a long time to arrive. Ordered some drinks on arrival and it took more than half an hour for these to arrive. The food was ok.

    Perfect place to have a brunch, food was very good and we love the design of the place. Only con if i can say was that i waited at my table without a glass or menu and it took roughly 10min for the staff to checkout if i need anything (despite walking by my tables several times). Overall, very good experience and defo worth going :)

    Waitress asked to clarify our order 3 times and then got it totally wrong. ! Bread is a laugh it’s the smallest of crusts toasted I’ve ever seen - I asked for no salad and so my husband got no salad or tomatoes and I got no crusts !!! Eggs were ok though so at least we didn’t starve did our £26 ! Coffee was nice but come on guys give a bit more effort

    Very over-priced menu. These prices are for top-of the range restaurants. In reality, Aubaine really offers nothing more than bistro food. My guest ordered a beef fillet, which arrived rare rather than medium. You pay extra for all sides. Very little included with the main dishes. Bread baskets and ordinary butter packs are charged 5.50. Other guests ordered an aubergine vegetarian dish which was barely warm on arrival. Service was somewhat indifferent and nonchalant - I get the impression that customers are more of a nuisance in this restaurant. Overall, you can get much better value from one of the nearby family-run restaurants on Westbourne Grove or in S. Kensington.

    Ordered Chicken Paillard. Had it previously- it’s been on menu a long time with a signature recipe: tomato garlic lemon olives - Provençal style. What was served was tasteless meat with chickpeas and one or two tomatoes, not cooked together so no fusion of taste. Awful meal. Overcharged hugely at £19. Not going back to Aubaine….
