Excellent service and food delivered in a vibrant and atmospheric environment. Our party arrived an hour early and were accommodated without any issues despite the restaurant already being busy. Our waiter was attentive and extremely friendly and this helped make the evening. Every morsel of our meals was delicious with portions being generous. In short, a really lovely dinner in what was obviously a Parisian institution. Our only sadness was not being able to eat our way through the menu! Can’t wait to return.

The food was excellent traditional French food. The servers were attentive and knowledgeable. Be sure and make a reservation- especially on weekend. Most people don’t and wait in long lines. Open Table is free. Use it!

As usual this restaurant is one of the best in Paris. We always come and have 1 or 2 dinners once in Paris. This time all was great except the man at the front downstairs. Very rude and stupid

Our expectations were high for the restaurant once favored by the late Anthony Bourdain, but unfortunately, the food fell short of those expectations. It's apparent that the departure of a key chef who once helmed the kitchen at Pied de Cochon, and has since earned a Michelin star elsewhere, has significantly impacted the quality of the cuisine. Glasses on the table were stained and not clean… The fare offered was rather lackluster. A noteworthy disappointment was my steak, which arrived undercooked and had to be returned. The fish and chips, regrettably, were far from appetizing. The wine list did little to elevate our experience, offering no remarkable selections. It seems a signature flavor, akin to "Le Flave", was conspicuously absent from the menu. With these elements considered, the venue appeared to cater more to the transient tourist crowd than to discerning diners. Our overall experience left us feeling disappointed.

Nous pouvons mettre nos répas en français, mais nous étions donner nôtre menus en anglais. And that is when the trouble started. The waiter didn’t seem to mind us ordering in English and kept speaking to us in both English and French to double-check the items that we ordered. He wasn’t sure on one of the items for the four of us. However he repeated all the orders that we gave him correctly. But my daughter’s whelk broth turned into mini shucked clams. Then her order for fried pig trotters ( pied de cochon ) and my wife’s cold crab never came. We lost our chance to enjoy them with our wine. Disappointed. If the restaurant cannot take our order in English, why give it to us in that language. We would have been happy to order en français. But more to the point, they don’t seem to care. The tipping is set/fixed. We look like tourists. We don’t look European. And they assumed incorrectly that we don’t know French. Word to the wise, although the food is very good, the wine menu is extremely limited. The wine glasses are the same as the water glasses. Being from Montrêal, I would say that the Au Pied de Cochon there is a much better restaurant with a wine menu 100 times bigger and has much friendlier service. NB: an English/American couple left the restaurant very unhappily just as we arrived. They seemed to have complained about their service as well. It just seems too much to be a coincidence. Stay away if you are from out of town lest you risk being DISAPPOINTED. Dr S 🇨🇦

The decor, ambience and service (4*) were better than the food. As expected, from the reviews. The pork sirloin (2.5*) was a generous serving but very (too) lean & monotonous. The ribs(3.5*) fared better and were helped by the tasty BBQ sauce. Good onion soup thought we had better elsewhere. We weren’t served the complimentary pink pig mignardises. Prices were reasonable. Go for the ambience, tolerate the pork dishes!

The atmosphere is colorful and welcoming with nostalgic art and beautiful light fixtures that take you back to the time when this Paris favorite started in business, over 70 years ago! The menu features fresh shell fish for which the restaurant has always been famous. The menu is very broad and includes a selection of specialties like stuffed pig trotter as well as more traditional meats, including a lovely, slow-roasted pork dish that several of us enjoyed very much. And don't forget dessert. Allow enough time to take in the entire experience. Our lunch was about 1-1/2 hours. The portions were ample, and the wait staff was gracious and helpful.

They made us wait 10 minutes at door. Then sent upstairs to 3rd floor, no doubt the American dungeon. Only 1 other person up there. Waiter arrived 15 minutes later and told us no more Dover sole. Rest of menu not interesting so we walked downstairs and mature d offered us a good table. We left feeling treated as third class citizens. Their oysters looked good. Avoid old time has been restaurant

I went solo and the staff was very kind. Even though I only understand a little French, the hostesss was able to get me a nice table upstairs and communicate in English. The French menu was huge and my server helped me decide on two dishes - escargot and steak tartare. He was able to communicate in perfect French and English and really made my experience wonderful. The food was good and the bread basket was huge and delicious. I will definitely come back!

Todo perfecto, la comida muy buena, el Menú no es el mismo que en los restaurantes que tienen en la Ciudad de México, los sabores son buenísimos… solo que no tenían nuestra reserva hecha por Open Table … pero nos hicieron esperar 5 minutos y nos dieron mesa, definitivamente no debes irte de Paris sin saborear sus platillos….

My meal was not good and one of the snails was bad.. I didn’t want to make a scene in front of other people so I didn’t say anything... the pork was 50% fat and very little meat.. was probably the worst meal i had in Paris.
