   Service was good upon entry and then I haad to flag a waiter to gain table service twice. Not good for this level of restaurant. My lamb shank was good but my wife's Linguini Ala Funghi left much to be desired. We needed a microscope to pickup evidence of mushroom in the dish - very poor and to cap it off the sauce was not very better than a flour and milk sauce. Very disappointing.......

   Unfortunately my mother’s salad had a live grasshopper in it and my family and I were able to act quickly before it was consumed. This left my family and I unable to continue to eat. Despite this extremely bad experience the manager was very apologetic and handled the matter with proper care in a timely fashion. Hopefully this won’t happen to others and is a good lesson to learn from for the staff as well. Overall, the experience wasn’t great but the potential for decent service is definitely there.

   Food here is very nice and very reasonably priced. Great spot for happy hour drinks mon to Fri.

   The ambience of the restaurant was great. Music wasn’t too loud and it was a very pleasant atmosphere. The wait staff were not sure of the availability of some of the wine and the food service was slow. We had to leave before one of our desserts was served

   We were sitting outside, tried the QR codes but they're so faded and weathered they don't work. The male servant didn't understand a request for no garlic in anything. Meals came out with Garlic. Food was sub-sub par. We got given slices of cheap loaf bread with cheese on it...Nothing fancy there. My Mum got Ceasar salad...bland and very basic. I got the Carbonara - there was a skin on the sauce when it arrived at the table and had zero taste too. For a hotel restaurant, don't expect much. Better off heading into the city which is short walk a quick tram ride down Northbourne ave

    So I was not impressed to be seated in a pokey corner down the back of the restaurant - as a solo female diner this sort of discrimination only makes the dining experience weirder. There was a complete row of two-seat tables down the side which remained empty - bar one - for the whole time i was dining. Then the first table to be filled by a couple and the wait staff placed them opposite me, so we were about 1m apart when there were at that time about 6 two-seat tables vacant. I do understand that tables are assigned when people book, however, there should be some judgements made on the fly. I was dining early, there was no need to place me right down the end of the restaurant. i was gone before 4 two person tables were even full and two couples had left already, creating two new empty tables. So by the time i left there were 4 tables that had not even been sat at and two that were empty again. I thought that being a city like Canberra this behaviour wouldn't exist. I was disappointed.
