Atlas Izakaya is a chef-run restaurant focused on creating delicious, thought-provoking Japanese food. Meaning “stay-drink-place” in its native tongue, Izakaya is a word to describe the perfect spot to settle down with company as you dine together. Located in the heart of historic Key West steps from Duval Street, our restaurant provides a relaxed vibe to meet your palate. To live up to our name, we created a refined atmosphere that features an impressive open kitchen to complement the same great impression made by our menu. Complete with local seafood, fresh vegetable dishes, bao buns, dumplings, and much more, our offerings are the kind you’ll be craving in the weeks following your visit.     Multiple dates available
    Join us for our monthly Kokadama Plant Class. We will enjoy sake cocktails and some plant based snacks while you learn the art of Kokadama, which translates to "moss ball" on which ornamental plants grow. Each class will feature different plants as you perfect the technique. While you will watch our host assemble the first plant, you can relax and enjoy drinks and snacks. After which, we will assist you in perfecting your take home kokadama. Happening the first Saturday of each month 12pm-2pm (limited bar seating only for this class)

    As avid lovers of Asian cuisine and sushi, we were excited to try this spot. The set up is beautiful and the service was excellent however, the food was disappointing. The best menu items we had were the pickles and the salmon and tuna nigiri. The nigiri is one piece per serving. The dumplings seemed pre made and were fried in one giant patty with an over powering taste of oil. We tried two rolls. Both the salmon skin roll and shrimp tempura roll were subpar and lacked flavor. Overall this location has great service but if you’re craving sushi, this isn’t your place.

    We’ve tried most of the restaurants in Key West. Atlas Izakaya is a unique experience and a hidden gem. Quaint surroundings, great service, and really good food. We had the lobster Bao buns (yum!), pork/crab dumpling (not my favorite), and the Snapper Yakitori (also yum), and the spicy broccoli (double yum). Also a nice saki flight and cocktail. The mark of a good place is asking yourself if you want to return again. Yes, we will be back to this one!

    Looove Atlas! Food is amazing and not your typical Key West French fries with fried fish. The tuna crispy rice is spectacular. All the dumplings are delicious. Wine and beer are unique (love the brut rose). And the service… owner Amy makes it personal and fun. And prices are reasonable for a tourist town. Definitely a restaurant to visit often !

    This restaurant was excellent. We loved the ambiance, music, style and the food was amazing. The staff were friendly. We brought our 2 kids with us and everyone was very accommodating. Definitely recommend this restaurant if you love sushi.

    This is a very special culinary experience. We ordered ten different items and there wasn’t one miss — everything was excellent. Thank you! For those unfamiliar with this style of Japanese cuisine, the portions are more like tapas, and the selections beyond the typical sushi (or Teppanyaki). Not to be missed!
