Food was good but the service was poor.
Food and service were both outstanding! Bellinis were not too sweet and the brunch menu was so hard to choose from because everything looked great!
We waited an extremely long time for service and our food.
We went at a quiet time on a Saturday for lunch but the ambience was lovely and the food delicious. Our server was excellent.
I absolutely loved the food (brunch) and will be back for dinner. Cannot wait.
Had moderate expectations based on reviews. It was a quaint Thursday afternoon that I stopped in for happy hour and ordered a mojito and oysters. Both could have significant room for improvement. Lots of wilted/brown leaves in the mojito which I was disappointed to see. The oysters were also pre-shucked based how badly the meat stuck to the shell and the ice below was clearly melted and re-frozen.
The waitress seemed a stressed which was odd since there were only 2 other people in the place.
Was a cute old school vibe which would have been wonderful if the quality of food and drink could be improved.
Delicious food. Great drinks. Great service Will be back very soon
Great food! Excellently priced mimosas! Nice ambiance.
Dining out at Atelier Florian was my first time back into a New Haven restaurant, and the evening was terrific. From the safe environment to the warm welcome and delicious food. The starters were fresh and yummy; the entrees elegant and satisfying--without being fussy. The wine list reflects smart choices (the Sancerre is great), and the sorbet dessert was refreshing. A winner on all fronts!
Had a very enjoyable dinner over the weekend. It was a Saturday evening but the restaurant was practically empty. Food was very good (I had the seared tuna with soba noodles, my friend had the scallops). Drinks had great pours. The service was good - attentive but not overbearing. Would definitely return.
The black ink seafood pasta was excellent, the tuna on soba noodles was meh, flan & coffee excellent, cocktails were wonderful.
Excellent fish, creative menu. Mussels are always good.
Don't be drawn in by the window dressing. Ambience is that of a bar not a dining experience. Food was poor, cold, quality unacceptable and improperly cooked. Staff should be employed at a fast food restaurant where you don't expect plates to be cleared when finished and entrees to be served together. A complete disappointment.
My husband and I enjoyed our Father’s Day brunch experience and we’ll certainly be back!
Had a wonderful father's day brunch here. Service was excellent, food options were great, food tasted amazing. Would definitely return and recommend for breakfast.
A terrific setting for our anniversary dinner. The table outside was NOT like dining in the street, as in some other downtown establishments. Wonderful food, fun cocktails, attentive service. We love this place.
Great date restaurant. June 2021 finds the restaurant understaffed. The Hostess/Bartender/Waitress was doing mad dashes, but we were very well cared for.
The tone of the restaurant has changed since my last visit February 2020, and is nicer and more welcoming. An appreciated correction. I will be back sooner, as I felt like they cared if we came back
Our experience overall was fine. We sat at the bar and felt so bad the bartender had to seat tables, wait on every table, make drinks, and delegate to the runner. Apparently, the kitchen was short-staffed, too, but the food came out fairly quickly and was good overall. We weren’t in a hurry, so we were very patient, but it was not the experience we were expecting.
Great Eggs Benedict, French Toast not so great. Had to ask for extra Maple Syrup. 1 tbsp. not quite enough. Coffee great. A French restaurant should not try to make Mexican Churros, had to have those (soggy and undercooked) taken off the bill. Why not make Beignets instead? Will go back though.
I read the mixed reviews but decided to give this place a try on a Saturday night and really glad we did. There were 2 wait staff covering 8 parties so we had great attentive friendly service. The ambiance was cool and perfect vibe for a date. We had the lobster bisque and the Brussel sprouts for apps which we loved. Then we ordered the octopus and fish and chips for main course and both were delicious. Finished it off by sharing their "Bomb Creme Brulee " which was also awesome. I will definitely be back!
Great food but grumpy service. Dishes came missing elements (no berries, no whipped cream), etc.
Great bourbon selection and happy hour food and prices. Great experience overall.
Despite the tasty, well-balanced menu and terrific cocktails, the night my friend and I visited Atelier Florian, our waitress was extremely rude and disagreeable and seemed annoyed at having to take our order. She asked us no questions, refused to make eye contact, left our check before we had ordered dessert, and seemed utterly discourteous throughout our meal. I realize that these are extremely trying times for all food establishments in terms of staffing, but, as a frequent restaurant-goer, this was truly extreme behavior.
Had a great graduation brunch for my son. Food was amazing, great selection of drinks and service was awesome. Thank you!
Great food, drinks and service. Couldn’t ask for more! Thanks Florian
Out of most beers, claimed not to have some raw menu items because of a busy planned weekend but with an empty restaurant and cooked equivalents (seared vs raw tuna)
Service was a little slow, but good food and drinks.
Our experience here was awesome. We showed up early and were accomodated, and the food was very very good. Possibly a bit short staffed, but with the whole Covid thing, it was really quite good. Beer was ice cold.... bonus. And the desert was awesome. And the price was very fair. We both had fish and seafood apps & meals, and everything was extremely tasty. Added to our list of fav's.
Mother’s Day brunch. When we arrived there was no one at the restaurant and yet we were seated at the worst table by the kitchen. Our server was very nice but our coffee was cold and the food was very greasy and lukewarm. One of the meals, the Belgian waffle was 15 minutes late and she did remove that it from our check but it was the worst waffle I have ever tasted. I didn’t think it was possible that a waffle could taste so horrible. After leaving we went to Dunkin’ to get my granddaughter something to eat since the waffle was inedible. I had dinner here about 3 years ago and it was good. Maybe they should stick to dinner and not serve brunch. I will not be returning.
We originally made a reservation for 7:30 pm for 4 people. We were running late and I called the restaurant to change the time to 8:00. The girl on the phone said it was no problem, but she wanted us to know the kitchen closed at 9. So, I made the reservation for 7:45. My husband and I arrived at 7:45, and were immediately seated while we waited for our friends. After 35 minutes of never being approached by a waitress, never even being acknowledged, never offered a drink, nothing...and watching 2 separate couples come in after us, be seated and receive drinks and food, we walked out. Absolutely horrible service. If I could rate a 0 I would because it was that bad.
Food and drinks were great and the live trumpet for Sunday Jazz Brunch was very nice
Excellent food and service!
the food was not impressive, the fries were bad
Food was good as usual, but their new policy of not accepting cash was not relayed to us. We were standing ready to leave and they would not accept the payment unless we switched to credit card. First I don't see how they could not accept legal tender for payment, and second they should at least have a sign posted indicating as such before being seated.
Super good food and fun atmosphere! Our waiter forgot our hot chocolate but it was busy
Always excellent and very thoughtful about the pandemic kudos!
The place was completely dead on a Sat for brunch. Maybe one table occupied inside and two occupied outside. We decided to sit outside and the woman working had poured us water prior to sitting which I found odd as it made it look like the glasses were already drank from- not so great during COVID. I understand the woman was working alone and didn’t have any help on the floor but maybe another staff member should have been working as well. We ended up leaving our table after about 10 min of sitting without ordering anything or having the server come to the table.
10/10..we got oysters, calamari and Brussels sprouts for appetizers. Delicious, fresh and perfectly prepared. Dinner was seafood pasta full of flavor and fresh seafood, lobster roll where you could taste it was real lobster meat, and the rabbit stew- yum! Drinks were amazing as well they have a nice selection of cocktails. Delicious desserts too. Thank you to the chef and our waitress you’re doing a great job! Beautiful place as well. Will be back soon. Thanks again - Allison
Went for Sunday Brunch. The food was amazing..not to mention the jazz trumpeter. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would definitely recommend
Food was terrible. Fish tacos had absolutely no flavor and it was practically an over cooked fish stick on a corn tortilla. Ordered a drink and had to send it back due to lipstick on the glass which is especially awful during covid. The steak came drenched in some type of sauce and we asked for medium but it was clearly very bloody. The waitress had an attitude when I told her we did not want it and asked that it be sent back. We eat at a lot of different restaurants and this was by far the worst we have visited in a long time. The only thing that was enjoyable was the beet salad. The fish and chips were also not good at all.
