Wonderful food and service.
Great Monday Lunch. Sat outside. Great Service, good food, nice neighborhood feel.
Excellent service and food start to finish. Had seasonal specials and shrimp and grits.
Best dinner in NOLA! We just spent 5 days in the city and ate and drank in many places. This experience was by far the best. We had reservations to sit outside. They called and left us know they would be able to accommodate us indoors since the weather had turned bad. Perfect and so appreciated. The manager and host were welcoming and efficient. Our waiter Ryan was fun, personable, professional and super helpful. Every recommendation he made was spot on. The food was sublime. Each dish we had was a treat with layers of flavors. We had two different fish dishes and they were exceptional. Fish was fresh, most and the sauces excellent. And make sure you have the flan. Rich creamy and just a wonderful end to a delightful dinner. We'd be regulars if we lived nearby.
Terrible service, food and drink were just ok. Live music was nice.
Love the shrimp and grits! Delish!
Love this restaurant!
The food was great and Janet was a great server.
The food was so good we went back for a 2nd meal. Just fantastic meals, impeccable service. Loved it
Food was delicious, service was good. Had a wonderful brunch.
10/10 the food was incredible, the service on point, the ambiance and music was perfect!!!! This is my new favorite restaurant. Recommend 200%
Perfect date night spot or just wanting a fantastic meal. Service and food was outstanding. Ryan was very attentive and fun. The curry and shrimp and grits were fantastic. Can’t wait to return.
Excellent across the board
Date night for my husband and me. It was a delightful experience. The food was excellent… from appetizers to dessert! We look forward to our next visit !
Best Brunch in NOLA!!!
Delicious food and great service! Lovely patio an convenient.
Had brunch. Band was great if you sat upstairs otherwise way too loud!! Good service
Food was okay. Crab and shrimp cake was “fishy”. Fries cold and soggy.
Step it up
Wonderful restaurant! Had a fantastic meal and experience.
You can’t beat it. Best spot in NOLA.
Loved everything about this place!!! Food was excellent, service was excellent as well which is something that in many other places we patronized has been awful. It's in a charming old house. Highly recommend!!!
Wonderful local restaurant. Reserved thru Open table was easy. Was able to note a birthday dinner and restaurant took extra steps to make dinner special
Ryan was are waiter and he was wonderfu
My mom and I just went here for the first time, and we loved everything about our experience! The shrimp and grits were on point, my mom loved the quiche with brie that they made as a special, and the mini cornbread muffins were to die for. I don’t even like cornbread, but they were fantastic. Will definitely dine again! Excellent experience.
We just moved to New Orleans in August 2021, and we have gone to this place more than 4 times already. We love their brunch!
Most of the things in their menu are amazing, def worth trying the Fish Curry, Chicken Waffles (asked without red pepper flakes if you dont want spicy), shrimp and grits (our favorite), the duck hash...
I wasn’t sure what to expect - PERFECT food & service! I had the fab pork chop in a beautiful presentation, and the quail was a superb masterpiece. FAV NOLA restaurant!!
The coconut curry fish dish I had was one of the best things I’ve eaten in a while!
Many of you have traveled to New Orleans and had great dining experiences; you need to add Atchafalaya to your "must try" list if you haven't experienced it yet.
For those of you who have, you know what a great brunch dining experience in a converted home with outdoor dining. But it's the service, food and overall ambience of this gem on Louisiana between Tchoupitoulas and Magazine Sts. Traditional brunch meals with a twist and served to perfection. Call ahead for reservations on the weekend.
Great food, outstanding service, very cool vibe. We had the shrimp & grits and curry fish and they were fantastic
Enjoyable experience for Sunday brunch of tasty food and very good service.
One word, Excellent! This place was so perfectly New Orleans. Food was amazing and atmosphere is exactly what you would want for this city.
We were in town for the Sugar Bowl and had brunch the next day. We had the Cajun dish with the grits, poached eggs, and crab cake. My daughter had the Duck dish and both were delicious. The service was excellent as well. I would definitely recommend this restaurant in the future if you're dining in NOLA.
The food and service were great. If you get the shrimp and grits it comes with the head and tail but can ask for it to be removed. I highly recommend the goat cheese potatoe puree and espresso martini.
Our brunch was amazing. The deviled eggs, gumbo, duck hash, and crab cake Benedict were fantastic!!
Down for sugar bowl and this was a highlight. Hotty Toddy.
Spinach, chicken and warm goat cheese salad - were all
EXTREMELY salty. When i told that to the waiters, they didn’t seem to really acknowledge it. Plus the place was «all reserved» but when we came 75% was empty.
We were looking for a restaurant off the tourist path while visiting New Orleans. We came across Atchafalya via Yelp and decided to make a reservation for our last night in town (note- we made the reservation 6 weeks in advance. I don’t know how far in advance they book, but I’d suggest reserving early). Having already spent three nights in the city being treated to multiple delicious meals, we were already prepared to leave New Orleans impressed with the restaurants, but dinner at Atchafalaya took that impression to another level.
As a family of four with two teenaged boys, we shared two complimentary baskets of bread and corn muffins with a marscapone-infused butter. We also ordered fried oysters (OMG good) and a bowl of gumbo. The kitchen kindly sent out a plate of complimentary fried green tomatoes as well. So far, the appetizers priced promising.
For dinner, we ordered pork chops, the veal special, and the blackened snapper curry. It was all cooked perfectly, served promptly, and worth every penny. Truly delicious and every bite was devoured.
In lieu of beverages, we opted to save our calories for dessert, which proved to be the right choice. The bread pudding was the most delightful way to end the meal- warm and soft inside with just enough caramelization crisp on the outside. It was meant to be for just two of us, but once everyone took a small taste, it was a race for the next bite.
Service was exceptional- our waitress was knowledgeable about every ingredient and close by when we needed something. Water was refilled regularly and the table was cleaned without any hint of invasiveness.
I would HIGHLY recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting or living in New Orleans.
Great food, attentive service, great ambience
my favorite new orleans restaurant. excellent, not pretentious, comfortable
Excellent wait staff!
Outstanding brunch. Great part of town, away from the French Quarter. Perfect date spot. Can't wait to try dinner on the next trip.
