Visiting New Orleans and wanted to have gumbo and shrimp and grits. Was not disappointed. The tomatoes in the shrimp and grits had a delicious smokey flavor which really made the dish. The grits were the perfect consistency so was not watered down by the sauce. Would definitely come back to New Orleans just to eat here. The restaurant was very comfortable and Ryan our waiter was very helpful and attentive.
Highly recommended by my nephew and the food could not have been better. Very pleasant staff and service was outstanding.
Wonderful food, cocktails, and exceptional service!
We had the blue crab raviolo & crispy gulf oysters to start, eye pleasing and tantalizing to our tastebuds. We split the 8 oz filet cooked medium rare perfectly and enjoyed every bite. The blueberry hand pie with lemon poppyseed ice cream was a great finish to a lovely meal. Oh, the bartender made me a great drink, their cocktail Atchafalaya.
Excellent food, table service was perfect. The only thing I found odd about the experience was the host was on the phone when we entered the restaurant so we were poorly greeted and he was on the phone when we left so again no good bye. I found this to be a strange way to handle customers. Besides that a great meal!
Brunch was very good. The food excellent and one of the best whisky sections you could ask for.

We came here after learning of Chris Lynch’s return from Commanders Palace where we had 2 chef’s table experiences with him. It did not disappoint. Food was outstanding and the service too notch. Highly recommend for brunch !
Enjoyed brunch at Atchafalaya on Saturday, June 12, 2021. Walked from my AirBnB in the Garden District near St. Charles/Washington to the restaurant. It was a hot summer morning, so I was glowing by the time I arrived at the restaurant. Thankfully, the host sat me and my guest indoors and our server brought us ice water quickly. I opted for iced cold brew to continue the cooling down process. The server did a great job of helping me decide what to order: steak and frites, chopped salad with shrimp, or bananas foster waffle with eggs and bacon. He suggested I would enjoy a wider profile of flavors with the salad. Prior to the meal arriving, the server brought a small plate with three sweet muffins (not corn bread) and whipped honey butter. I want more of these muffins in my life. The restaurant featured the work of a local artist, so I enjoyed looking around prior to our food arriving. The server was not wrong in his menu recommendation. The salad portion was plentiful and there were five large shrimp around the dish. I thoroughly enjoyed the portion, quantity of shrimp, quality of ingredients, and flavor of the entrée. When I come back to the restaurant on a future visit, I will have to try another item on the menu. Overall, a wonderful brunch experience. Opting to not walk out in the summer heat after brunch, I ordered an Uber and enjoyed an air conditioned ride to my AirBnb.

My husband and I had brunch and everything was excellent. Our server was friendly and helpful, she also managed our course appropriately, so we did not feel rushed or like there was a long wait in between.
The bloody Mary bar wasn't what I was expecting. I was hoping it would be where we could select the items for our drinks but instead there were 4 types of bloody mary's to choose from.

The best shrimp and grits we ever had! Our server was phenomenal & the other servers would come over and socialize too. Bloody Mary’s are the best in the area & the bread pudding was great too. Fun paintings on the wall!
We had an outstanding brunch at Atchafalaya! Everything from the cornbread to the Brussels to the duck hash to the Benedict were perfect. The service was on point throughout - attentive and personable. We’ll definitely return next time in NOLA.

The staff was very nice and friendly. We went there to celebrate a birthday. Totally amazing appetizers to choose from. We ended up getting 3, because we couldn't decide between the fried oysters, fried green tomatoes, and crabmeat ravioli. All superb choices.

What a true gem to come across on our quick trip to New Orleans for work! Took 3 of my business partners after reading the reviews on Open Table. We lucked out with literally one reservation left at 8:30 PM. When we arrived it was quite packed outside and inside with patrons enjoying the ambience, food and cocktails. I felt for a moment we may have to wait, but once we got to the host stand the gentleman greeted me and said the table would be ready in 5 mins. We were seated on the dot to our reservation and had an amazing evening of drinks, extremely flavorful food selections and desserts! Our server was so accommodating and recommended so many of his favorites from the menu .. which we ordered them all. At the end of our meal we were geeked again by the host and he asked us about our experience, I cannot give this restaurant enough accolades. This is a must stop for any foodie visiting New Orleans.
This is a beautifully hidden gem. Elegant dining at a business casual location. Food was exquisite! Our server, Ryan, was attentive and entertaining. The ambiance was dimly lit, which is perfect for a girls night out, a business meeting, or date night.
