We love the Barn. There are closer restaurants to go for brunch, but we always choose this restaurant. The food is delicious and reasonable, but it is truly the service we love. Yesterday, there was some kind of problem with the bar so our drinks were delayed but not by much. They comped them. This is a fun restaurant with good moderately priced food with the best service around.
We love this place. Great staff and great food. We will continue to come here.
I was not impressed with The Barn. The fondue was watery and was more of a cheese dip. I was expecting a more traditional melted cheese dish where I could dip the items of my choice. The veggies were incorporated into the cheese, which is what made it watery. I had a hangar steak that was supposed to be mid-rare. Most of it was well done with the exception of the end of the steak, which was the right temperature. They sliced the steak, so they knew it was over cooked. My wife’s beet salad had almost no beets. She also ordered the lobster tail, which was undercooked.
Regular Friday night dinner with family - kids & grandkids.
The Barn looks great, the menu looked great, the food was slightly above average but not exceptional. Prices OK.
First time visit. With that said the setting is nice, inside is a welcome surprise compared to outside. Not a negative just inside is very nice. Wife ordered 1/2 lobster tail and NY strip. Asked for tail to be grilled and it was EXCELLENT! Her steak was ordered medium well and stressed more towards well. Came rare! After re-fire (my opinion whenever a steak is ordered should be newly cooked-not re-fired) was medium and still bleeding.
My grilled prime was well and ordered medium. My re-cook was PERFECT and very tasty.
Manager too wife's ntire meal off bill and offered dessert. The Ceme brulee (misspelled I'sure) is excellent as is the cheese cake.
Other than NY strip it was a good meal. Very good service other than continued asking for water to be filled. This is an issue almost every single restaurant is plagued with. Even when they have young men and women whom are assigned to this task. They should be trained to always look at table making sure beverages are full.
great experience for my mom and I !!
We enjoyed lunch on Mother’s Day. The service was outstanding and the food was delicious. It is a little tight upstairs but bearable. It is on the noisy side but would not prevent us from going back. The prices are fair and they have many food choices that all sounded wonderful. We will be going back as well as telling our friends to visit!
We were a party of four for Mother’s Day brunch. The restaurant was very cold and there was a vent blowing cold air directly on the side of the table that my mother and I were sitting at. Our waiter was very soft spoken and hard to understand. Our food came out pretty quickly, but all four of us were left disappointed— my mother and my husband both found the hollandaise bland, my brother thought the chicken was dry bland and the gravy on his chicken and waffles had no flavor, and I thought my French toast was mushy and once again, very bland. The only flavor came from the caramel drizzle. We did all enjoy the bacon we ordered as a side dish, but overall our entrees were very flavorless. We were only at the restaurant for about 40-45 minutes and it wasn’t even full, but we felt like we were being rushed by many staff members who kept stopping by our table as we were finishing up and paying the bill. I’ve been here twice before and the service and food was much better, but I’m not sure if we’ll be returning after this experience.
Absolutely love the Barn!! One of our top places to go and never disappointed!!!
Excellent meal with great service. Will definitely be back!
This was a great choice. Friendly, efficient service and food, nicely prepared and presented.
This was my second time visiting @The Barn. My first visit was with a couple of friends and everyone had a nice time. I didn’t love it but decided to give it another try. This time, my husband and I went with another couple of friends who have never been. They seemed to like it overall.
However, there were a few things lacking.
I got the Barn 17 salad which was awesome. I loved everything about it. The calamari was ok...not the best I’ve had. For dinner, I ordered the Shrimp a la Plancha. I didn’t care for it at all. The shrimp didn’t have any seasoning it seemed. The asparagus was good. The risotto was so incredibly bland...I’ve never had a risotto I didn’t like until this one. I also had this the first time and it was ok then as well but not quite as bland. I should have just gone with something else.
Our waitress was ok. She seemed to be rushing us. Didn’t let us know if there were any specials. It was kind of odd. She probably had a lot of tables since it was a Saturday night but our whole table thought she was a bit unprofessional.
Also, the bar had the Kentucky Derby on and there was a group of people watching. A few individuals were very loud while watching it. This was not enjoyable to listen to while trying to talk at our table. I realize it was a customer yelling and not a staff member but it would be nice if there was some additional separation between the bar and the rest of the restaurant.
Overall, I may go back but only if friends ask us to go.
The service was great & everyone at the table was satisfied. Good food & atmosphere.
Great service with excellent food.
Great food, service, and environment. Really enjoyed it.
A great enjoyable place to go. Attractive appearance, nice seating, good food, you can hear each other talk. A pleasant place for lunch or dinner.
it was a grear experience. beautiful place!
A delightful change from the ordinary. Creative dishes a great beer list and a lively atmosphere makes for a nice evening. We'll be back.
We each had lobster omelets with a chopped salad. Both were outstanding. For dessert one of us had an apple/berry crisp and the other had the salted caramel lava cake. Again, they were of the highest quality. Our server was stupendous -- great service, very polite, eager to please, and a wonderful smile. It was obvious she loved her job. We will go again.
Had Easter brunch with my parents here and was seated in the upstairs dining area. Would recommend other diners request the main floor as the ambiance seems better down there; upstairs feels quite removed and lacks some character. Food was tasty but we were not asked by our server during our main course whether it was ok. And the servers seemed to call on us like a ping-pong game, alternating and saying they 'got it' that round. But nice place overall.
We went for Brunch. It was a little loud but calmed down as time went on. The waitress was really nice, and was very attentive. She even could tell that my daughter didn't love her chicken and waffles- bad choice for a little kid; still ate it , so she asked how they could do better. Drinks were amazing and I would def go back again for any meal.
It was delicious and a wonderful Easter brunch!
For Easter I expected a larger special menu.
We always get a great meal and love the ambience. Couldn’t wait to get our best friends out for a great meal and fun conversation.
You didn’t let us down.
This was a great find. Everything was excellent. We have all ready recommended and will be back
Service is always great. Good food.
Our waiter was horrible, we had to ask him things time and time again which he kept forgetting. It took him forever to take our order in the first place. Then it took forever to get our meals and our waiter seemed to be lost most of the time. We were put upstairs with a group that was having a party and we couldn’t even hear ourselves speak. It was horrible, you should not be put upstairs if they have a party there.
Just right! Great ambiance, excellent food, excellent drinks, excellent service. We were a party of 5, had 5 different drinks/appetizers/entrees and desserts, and everyone was happy - that NEVER happens! We will be back
Visited the Barn for the first time, Wow!. Very nice atmosphere, drink and food selection was diverse. The wait staff knew the menu and had great customer service. Will be coming back!
The food was excellent as was the service. The menu was creative and diverse. Interesting combinations of flavor and spices that made ordinary dishes much more complex and satisfying. The wine list was quite interesting and had selections for all price points including a few high-end selections you don't always see. Overall, a wonderful place to visit!
I felt the service was good. The portions were normal size. I would like more choices for a salad though.
We were amazed with the remodel when we first walked in. It’s beautiful!! The service, the food, the entire experience was fantastic!! It’s nice to have a high end place to eat in Granby finally!! We will be back, regularly.
Worth a visit.
Birthday party at next table. Very loud
We waited 10 minutes to give our drink order, then we waited for drinks to be delivered, when he did, we mentioned ordering an appetizer, waiter walked away. He never came back for 15 minutes, we ordered our apps and meal together, got apps in 5 min waited 30 for our meals. Our waiter clearly was overwhelmed. It wasn’t the experience we hoped for.
wonderful restaurant i'm excited i had to pleasure to visit for brunch. had the cheese board which had a great selection and variety of some very good options. tried a specialty cocktail which was excellent. and my eggs were perfect. the interior is beautiful, staff outstanding.
We love the Barn. Great food great people.
Very good meal. Excellent variety and selection. Well prepared. Good wine list. A little loud but not disturbingly so. Generally efficient service with just minor hiccups (no steak knife, someone else's bill, etc). Overall a good meal and we'll be adding it to our restaurant rotation.
We were immediately sat even though we were about 20 minutes early. The entire staff that helped us was phenomenal. The food was so delicious.
