Tonight’s dinner at Astor’s Table was truly memorable. We enjoyed a fantastic evening filled with bold flavors, great wine, and outstanding service. We started with a bottle of Pinotage, perfectly smooth and a great complement to the evening’s meal. For our mains, the Kingklip was fresh, beautifully cooked, and packed with flavor, while the Beef Espetada was tender and juicy — simply outstanding! To finish, we indulged in the Malva Pudding, which was warm, rich, and the perfect sweet ending to the night. Special thanks to Jeda for the impeccable service — friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. She truly enhanced our dining experience. Astor’s Table continues to impress with its unique dishes, inviting atmosphere, and top-notch hospitality. Can’t wait to return!

Chef Casey has truly crafted a menu that takes your taste buds on a global journey. The exotic meats and dishes are unlike anything else in the area, and the quality is absolutely top-notch. We had the pleasure of trying dishes like the Duck Wings and Kangaroo, each perfectly spiced and cooked to perfection. The exotic meats are a must-try—whether it’s kangaroo or ostrich, Chef Casey brings them to life in the most flavorful ways possible. Each bite was packed with depth and richness, paired perfectly with the wine suggestions on the menu. What made the experience even better was the exceptional service. The staff was not only friendly and welcoming but also knowledgeable about the menu and the wines, offering great recommendations. It’s clear that Chef Casey and the team put their heart and soul into creating a memorable dining experience, and it shows. Astor’s Table is an absolute gem for anyone looking to explore exotic flavors while enjoying fantastic service. We can’t wait to return for another incredible meal!

We stopped in for brunch and had an amazing experience. The menu offers something for everyone — from classic favorites to unique South African and global twists. The croissant eggs Benedict was absolutely perfect — buttery, flaky, and topped with rich hollandaise. The roasted garlic potatoes were so flavorful. My wife had the chicken and waffles — the waffle was perfectly crisp, and the housemade sauce was delicious. We also loved the penny mimosas — such a fun way to kick off the weekend! The vibe was lively with great music and friendly service. It’s now one of our go-to spots for brunch in Katy. Highly recommend it if you love great food, great vibes, and something a little different from the usual brunch scene.

Astor’s Table is hands down one of the best dinner spots in Katy. The flavors here are bold, unique, and truly global — we loved trying dishes from South Africa, West Africa, and Argentina all in one place. The menu is a culinary journey through South Africa, West Africa, Argentina, and beyond — truly one of a kind. We started with the Grilled Oyster Rockefeller and Cape Point Peri-Peri Shrimp — both perfectly seasoned and paired beautifully with a crisp South African Chenin Blanc. The South African Ceviche was another standout — so fresh and flavorful. For our mains, we tried the South African Espetadas and the African Spicy Lamb Chops — both grilled to perfection, bursting with bold flavors. The wine pairings suggested on the menu were spot on — the Pinotage was an ideal complement to the richness of the dishes. This is my second visit there and , sadly, a lot has changed. It’s primarily a South African restaurant but between my first and second visit, most of the traditional SA meals had disappeared. It is now a combo South African, Brazilian, Argentinian, and west African restaurant. They did one thing great, but doing so many things has changed the restaurant profoundly. I gave it five stars on my first visit, but this time three and that’s only because of the friendly staff and great wine list. The South African choices were minimal so I went with one of the braai dishes. The meat was poor quality, like supermarket low grade on sale quality. The vegetables that came with it were flavorless and looked like they’d been cooked twice as long as they should have been. So essentially they have gone from doing a great job on one theme to doing a terrible job on multiple themes. I won’t be back and will have to look for South African food again. On the bright side, the wine list is exceptional. The staff is as friendly and as attentive as ever. I hate the nightly music which makes the restaurant much louder as everybody ignores the singer but talks louder to compensate. That’s just personal preference, but if I wanted live music, I’d go to a bar

While we understand that not every evolution will suit every diner’s preferences, we stand proudly behind this direction and the quality of experience we offer. As for the live music, we understand that atmosphere is a personal preference. Many of our guests love the energy it brings to our space, which is why it remains part of our offering.

Vibe- combo of throwback 90's bistro and old school winebar. Took a little bit for our server to get to us at first, but great service from then on. Food was very flavorful (Fusion Sampler, Gugulethu Espetadas (beef), S. African Flame Braai and a side of jollof rice (spicy). Really curious about the VIP lounge and will go back to give the wild game a try. Btw, that a/c is working overtime so keep that in mind.

Mother's Day brunch/lunch was disappointing at best. Food came out not hot, not warm but cool as if it had been sitting for a while. Ran out of dessert on menu, then we were offered cheesecake for dessert. The dessert that came to our table was what was leftover - some concoction of mint chocolate cut into random disportionate slices.
