Vibe- combo of throwback 90's bistro and old school winebar. Took a little bit for our server to get to us at first, but great service from then on. Food was very flavorful (Fusion Sampler, Gugulethu Espetadas (beef), S. African Flame Braai and a side of jollof rice (spicy). Really curious about the VIP lounge and will go back to give the wild game a try. Btw, that a/c is working overtime so keep that in mind.

Mother's Day brunch/lunch was disappointing at best. Food came out not hot, not warm but cool as if it had been sitting for a while. Ran out of dessert on menu, then we were offered cheesecake for dessert. The dessert that came to our table was what was leftover - some concoction of mint chocolate cut into random disportionate slices.

With excellent cuisine and warm service, Astor's Table is a cozy and charming spot. Every meal was fantastic; we sampled the Grilled Oyster Rockefeller, Hout Bay Scallops, Argentinian Empanadas, Peri Peri Shrimp Avocado Salad, Oxtail, and Mac & Cheese. The oysters were tender, the scallops were perfectly cooked, and the empanadas were crispy and tasty. The salad was fresh. The oxtail was meaty, and the mac & cheese was cheesy and creamy. We will surely return.

Chef Casey, is an inspiration sharing his life story as an immigrant. Pursuing his American culinary dreams here in Katy. Support local businesses within the community. His dishes pay tribute to his family heritage in Africa, as well as to his wife’s country of Argentina. Absolutely amazing presentation and delicious dishes. Setting off the dinning experience with fabulous cocktails and live music from a saxophonist. Great way to set the mood! Highly recommend - bon appétit

I highly recommend this restaurant. Food is A+ and service is A++. Best service I’ve had in my 7 years in Houston. Recommend the oxtails or curry. We also liked the whole fried fish with sakuma. Ugali and fufu are super authentic. Can’t say enough good things. Also got to meet the chef who was very kind and hospitable. Look forward to going back and trying more things on their expansive menu.

We LOVED Astor’s Table! From the moment we walked in, we felt special. Kiana was a very attentive and kind waitress, who guided us perfectly to the food that fit each of our tastes. The chef dropped by to talk to us - he is a lovely man with obvious skills in the kitchen. Each dish had complex flavor and was absolutely delicious! We will be back! Side note - for those that love heat, their peri peri sauce is the perfect addition to your meal (and you can buy a bottle to take home).

This was my second visit to Astor's Table, and I had previously raved about it to my parents. So, when they came to town, we decided to dine here for dinner. Unfortunately, this experience didn't quite meet my expectations compared to my first visit. It seems like there might be some maintenance issues, as the cleanliness didn’t feel up to par. I noticed some dust on the vents and a few brown spots on the ceiling, which was a bit surprising. When I asked my parents for their thoughts, they felt it was just okay and mentioned that they might not return. However, they did appreciate the chef taking the time to come out and greet us, which was a nice touch. I hope they can focus on improving the overall cleanliness and experience, as it has potential to be a great dining spot again.
