We went on a Wednesday night and the place was pretty full at 7pm. A few families and what looked like some business meeting types. Had a nice bottle of wine and some bruschetta to start. My son had a Zucchini pasta the waiter recommended and i had eggplant Parmesan. Tiramissou and Panna Cotta we're excellent. And complimentary limoncello! Excellent meal in a great location in North end.

Even though the space was a bit tight and we were sitting fairly close to the table next to us, this is normal for the resturaunts in the area. The food was great and fairly priced. The service was also very good with the manager and owner stopping by all the tables at one point. I would definitely recommend Assiago. I would go back for sure to gry the other dishes on the menu.

Pricey, but perfect for a special occasion. We ordered the Fillet Mignon—which came with delicious mashed potatoes and veggies, and the pasta carbonara. It was very filling! Our server was delightful. The restaurant was very crowded on a Saturday night. The ambience seemed cozy, but it was distracting being a bit crammed in. Nevertheless, we would definitely return again! Oh, and the sangria was divine!

We have eaten here in the past and found the food delicious. When my son graduated college last April we took our family and friends here for dinner and loved it. So this past weekend I recommended this place because it was the best lasagna that I had ever eaten. This time I was disappointed and so was my sister who makes her own great lasagna. I don't know if the place has changed owners, chefs, whatever but the food was definitely not the same. Plus we made reservations weeks in advance and we were seated in the corner of the basement right next to doors that I believe lead to their wine cellar, so it was very cold sitting there. Every time the door was opened it got even colder. The food wasn't bad but I left thinking that this time around it didn't come close to other North End restaurants where we have eaten. Felt bad after I hyped it up to the others who joined me for dinner.

Brilliant food, with an authentic feel of what a restaurant in Positano really looks like. We tried the Gnocchi and the Ravioli which were very flavorful and authentic. The place also boasts a huge wine list. Highly recommended for a date. The service could be slightly better though, my server was a little pushy and kept asking us to order our main course even before the appetizers were served.

My girlfriend and I were visiting Boston and decided to have some authentic Italian food, so we looked up highly-rated restaurants on Yelp and found this one with a time which would work for us. We weren't disappointed! From the time we walked in the door, we were greeted by friendly people, who acknowledged us immediately. Even though we were early for our reservation, they were able to seat us right away. Our waitress was pleasant, gave us plenty of time to make our decision on food, and was very attentive. Each of our dishes was brought in a timely manner, and never was there a rush for us to finish our meal and move on to the next customer. We were relaxed and able to enjoy our food. The entrées were excellent and they really lived up to their ratings with us ! We would definitely go back!

The management very welcoming. Had a glass of wine at bar first, the bartender was friendly and helpful selecting my wine, prices reasonable. When seated again wonderful server. We had appetizers my husband loved the pumpkin soup with scallops, I had Caesar salad , I would suggest something other. For main course we had ossoBucco served with risotto and Filet served twice baked mashed potatoes. We were both very happy with our meals. Love their bread. We would return. A lovely dinner , not rushed , service excellent and food very good.

Our food is always amazing, and the service is always great. Our water glass is always filled and the staff always checks in. The filet melts in your mouth and the pasta tastes great, prefect every time. This time we had a birthday and we were surprised with a fruit platter for dessert, it was amazing!

Everything was excellent - food and service. The place makes you feel like you are at home but it is even more special because they are waiting on you. I would definitely go back and highly recommend to my friends.

Overall, Assaggio's was OK but I don't think that we will be returning. For starters, we had a reservation and were seated right away but we were placed at a small table directly in the middle of two other small tables, even though one of the other small tables was open and offered a little more privacy. Our waiter never told us that there were specials - we overheard them being told to one of the couples that were next to us after we had already ordered (I would have ordered one of the specials over my dish).

The meatball appetizer and the gnocchi dish were both really good, but my ravioli dish seemed to be exclusively filled with grainy parmesan cheese. Our silverware had been taken with our appetizer even though we both insisted we were fine with reusing it, but instead our waiter forgot about us and we were left for about 10 minutes with our food in front of us and no silverware. Also, the drinks that we ordered were bad - I ordered a cosmo that tasted like clorox water and my boyfriend ordered an old fashioned that seemed to be filled with mainly sprite and a splash of bourbon.

We were early and it took an hour and fifteen minutes to get our dinner. The pasta vongole was flavorless, however the food overall was just ok.
