We loved Artusi! The people who work there are really friendly and the food was amazing. Totally recommend it for a weekday date!

My wife and I booked lunch on the recommendation of friends and online reviews, which were very complimentary. The restaurant was clean, although lacking in atmosphere and ambience. Staff were polite and helpful, although a little forced and over keen at times- which was unnerving. I had the ox tongue with salsa verde for a starter, which to be honest was average at best and needed more thought to elevate it to another level. For main we both opted for the octopus with chick peas. This was cooked well, although was overpowered by the pepper sauce it came with and to be honest would have been better suited as a starter. Plus the £16 price really wasn't justified. Unfortunately for us it was a let-down and not one we will be returning to.

Lovely restaurant with really interesting dishes. I really like that they make their own pasta. It's slightly on the pricey side- paying £17 for a bowl of pasta and a pudding is a little bit over the top. But the quality and ambience and service are very very good.

Lovely local restaurant with very friendly service- relaxed ambience, although it was at full capacity on a Wednesday (a good sign!)

My boyfriend and I love heading to hidden little gems like this, and there are more and more of them in the Peckham area. We really enjoyed all of our food at Artusi and it was cooked to perfection. Our only minor complaint would be that as it has a very restricted menu, as it changes every day, which is awesome...when they have sold out of one of the choices, as they did on our visit, it makes it an exceptionally limited menu...but overall a lovely meal!

Had a nice evening, lovely surroundings and great service but the food wasn't as good as I expected. My friend had the mackerel and it was a small portion for the money with nothing really special about it. I had the lamb neck but the textures of the meal were a bit weird. Panna cotta was runny and the ice cream was nice but again nothing special; quite expensive for what you got. Probably wouldn't go back!

Really interesting dishes; Oz cheek ragu was superb. As was the cabbage and olive starter. So glad I booked ahead as they were turning people away, on a Monday night! Friendly and welcoming service too.

Dinner on Friday was fine. Not great. But fine. We had gone for our anniversary dinner and we had been led to believe - by all the reviews - that we were in for a fantastic meal. We arrived on time but were seated 10 mins late (not a big deal) in the corridor like dining space right by the front door. I took the seat by the door and was permanently aware of the draft that was apparent every time the waiter went to tend to the table outside (who were all sitting there in parkas indicating how cold things were). My sardine pasta starter was tepid and tasted like a store cupboard student creation. My wife's porcini tagliatelli was excellent if also lukewarm (too long on the pass?). Our main courses were both solid. Steak and lentils for my better half, and lamb and turnips for me. Both beautifully pink and well seasoned if a little tough (we needed to ask for a more serrated fork). Wine was fine, if a little expensive. If I was going again I would ask for a table to the back of the restaurant and I would suggest sending back your starters if they come at room temperature.

Really lovely pasta, interesting and tasty mains. wine pretty reasonable/ reasonable priced. Friendly staff. A little bit too cosy - in the sense that we had very little privacy as tables so tight together but that's my only criticism.
