First time trying and really enjoyed it. Had a drink at the bar inside and then had a table outside w my wife. Everything was great except for a very long wait for the dinner course. Like crazy long. Hostess and server apologized but other than that, a great experience and we would go back for sure.

When we arrived, we were the first to be seated and the last of three patrons to place orders with. When we were seated, there was a dirty glass on top of my father’s butter dish with dirty fingerprints on it. Portions were small. Service was slow despite it not being very busy when we got there. Needless to say, we did not stay for dessert. We were disappointed since we had come before in the winter and had a much better dining experience. The fish was good though. Lovely crispy skin. The burrata plate was also excellent.

Everything started great then went downhill. Our waiter (Ethan?) was NOT knowledgeable about the menu, said he would check what was on the charcuterie board (didn't) but that he thought it came with 4 meats and 5 cheeses, so we ordered that but there was in fact no cheese. (Meaning I did not eat anything off the board that was intended to be split between myself and my partner. If we knew that I would not be eating it, we would have gotten a different appetizer). He never got us more bread after offering. He didn't ask about drink refills until they were long finished. Our food was overcooked but he didn't check on us or our food until it was long gone. Getting the food took over 40 min from when we ordered. Based on tables around us, they weren't happy with the service either. Either the waiter is new and not well trained or he is just bad at his job. The food was all of ok. The experience was not worth the price. Will not be recommending the restaurant to friends or colleagues.

It seems with any restaurant, one is in the midst of a conversation, only to be interrupted by the weight staff. It is essentially coming up and interjecting. May I help you or, are you ready to order? Often interrupting people mid sentence. This is not simply this restaurant, but I’m finding this all over. I cannot imagine that I would encounter this in France. Also, there was an eagerness to remove plates, essentially bust the table, again while we were midsentence. I would suggest that all restaurants revisit this policy. We gave the impression that they were in haste to expedite our departure from the restaurant. This is a Monday evening. Again, I do not recall ever having that experience in France.

David is an excellent and kind server, as were his helpers. Completely smooth and attentive experience. Food was delicious, as always! We even got treated to a wedding anniversary weekend take home gift. Very special evening! There were people working on patio planting and hoses being dragged and such during dinner which was a bit strange, but they must have been crunching for the weekend. Might have been better not at dinner hour, though. We love Artisan and will certainly return! Always a pleasure to dine there!

First time there. Was not advertised that it was a prefix menu with no alternative option. Menu was difficult for me so having even more limitations wasn’t fun. I don’t think I’d go back but open table should advertise if there’s only 1 menu option so people don’t get stuck in this situation. If it were up to me I would have left.
