   Had a nice evening at Artisan like we usually do. We found this gem in a NE trip about 6 years ago and we come up now spend the night at the hotel. We had cheese, strip steak, chicken, cheesecake, almond cake all amazing.

   We have dined at Artisan in the past and have always enjoyed it. The food was, as usual, delicious, and the service was impeccable. However, the prices have become astronomical as in an additional two dollars to have a martini Neat. Who charges $2 to serve a drink without ice? Three scallops on a bed of risotto was $46. Exorbitant. As lovely as an experience as it was, we felt taken advantage of and will not be rushing back. Good crusty bread, though.

   The food at Artisan is consistently excellent and the market menu is a good value. The restaurant is cozy, pleasant and quiet due to it's location away from any traffic noise -- even outdoors. My one minor complaint is with the service. The servers are all knowledgeable about the menu and we were served water and drinks quickly, the food took quite a while to be served. It is refreshing not to feel like you're being hustled out, but it's frustrating if you are hungry! We spent nearly three hours having lunch yesterday.

   Artisan is pricey but very good. My only complaint about Artisan is directed at other diners, the slobs who think that t-shirts, ripped jeans and sneakers are acceptable attire for a fine restaurant.

   We were out celebrating our engagement with my boss and his wife. The staff was extremely nice and accommodating. From changing our seats to the center booth to surprising us with “Congratulation” written on our dessert plates. I’d absolutely recommend trying this beautiful and delicious restaurant.

    Excellent experience. We sat in the enclosed heated pergola. Nice ambiance. The food was excellent. We had the roasted quail which was really good, it was tender and moist. My wife had the shrimp Fradiavlo which was really good, nice spice level to it. I had the lamb chops which was delicious. Service was excellent. Would definitely recommend it.

    The service and food was outstanding! My only minor complaint is that we were seated in an enclosed patio with heaters. One of the heaters was aimed at my head and I felt uncomfortably warm during the entire meal. I asked if the heater could be turned down, but unfortunately nothing could be done. I eat at Artisan frequently and this experience was an anomaly. Artisan is one of my favorite local restaurants. I believe it is one of the best restaurants in the area.

    Amazing always! Artisan never disappoints! We ate at the bar where two brilliant gentlemen assisted us. We ordered a modestly priced bottle of bubbles, the grilled calamari, the salmon, and scallops.. all delicious! Chocolate cake and an espresso martini ended the evening and we existed full and happy! Until next time..

    Over the years I have been to Artisan many times. The restaurant always seems to able to evolve so it never feels the same or "old," or "as expected." Last night was no exception. The wine list has evolved, the menu has new choices. I wouldn't call it a "value menu" but the dinner we had was luxurious and yet fairly priced. But the most outstanding part of the evening was the service. All the staff was quick to help, but also understood our requests effortlessly. Even a broken glass on the floor at the next table was quickly dealt with and the Maitre'D stood by to make sure no one stepped on any of the glass. I wish many of the other CT restaurants had service staffs that were as sharp. We both ordered steak but we had two different kinds, a nice menu touch. One was hanger steak w sauce, one was NY Strip. Our potatoes were delicious, We skipped dessert but had a whisky from the very nice list. A perfect winter evening.

    the reviews are hit or miss but we had a great experience. went on a Tuesday night for a quiet dinner to celebrate a birthday and absolutely loved it!! the steak on their normal menu was fantastic, desserts were 1000/10. We loved the oysters from new brunswick too. Solid selection of cocktails, wines, liquors. It was over $450 for 3 people though, so would only do on a special occasion.

    As a regular, the Saturday evening service was very inattentive ( unusual) and the main courses ( duck breast was over cooked and dry) and the sea bass was just OK . Maybe better to go on week nights.

    Overall I would recommend Artisan. We were seated in the bar area not the main dining room and our table was a bit close to the bar itself so at times it felt cramped but never a problem and while the was a good vibe and ambient noise we had no trouble hearing at the table. The service was solid but cocktails took some time to arrive. Entrees were liked by everyone and the menu had good variety. Desserts were really good. I’m definitely going to go back and try again hopefully in the main dining area next.

    Here is the review I posted on google reviews, 12/15: This comment pertains only to one lunch (though on a Saturday for a 2:15 reservation, they referred to it as brunch). I have dined at Artisan at least a dozen times, and have always found it to be very good and, in the case of the Thanksgiving prix fixe meal, outstanding. I had two entrees and one desert: crab cakes with poached eggs and hollandaise sauce, and a lobster roll. First, the bottled water they serve, regardless of time of day, is awful. I don't recall the name, but it actually has a bitter taste, as if it has a tablet of aspirin dissolved in it. Why they don't serve Saratoga or San Pellegrino is beyond me. Second, I am a crab cake aficionado (I make my own on occasion) and these were tasteless. The eggs and sauce decimated whatever flavor the may have had and at $29, it was not much better than diner food. Third, it's hard to screw up lobster, but they manage to do so. They small amount of lobster in a hot dog roll was made from frozen meat; in this case, apparently very old meat. The amount of lobster is very small and what there is is nearly tasteless. How a restaurant in a New England state can serve such bland seafood is a puzzle. It was combined with a large amount of salad---I suppose to offset the small roll. An attempt at trompe L'oeil I suppose. It didn't work. Last, the chocolate mousse dessert was very good. However, it didn't save an otherwise bland meal. At $185 (before tip) for three it was a waste of money. I suggest that you find yourself a nice diner and save some cash.

    We chose Artisan among few other restaurants with very good reviews. And we were totally enchanted!! The decor was superbly subtle while lovely, and the tables nicely set with the new lights accenting the intimacy of the place. Our waiter, George, proved to be most informating and patient with the 94 years old French lady I am now...Thank you indeed George... He served us the grand dinner ...double plate of the raw oysters I do crave, perfectly presented and so fresh. Plus the tuna tartare rightly seasoned ... and one for which I will gladly return! My husband's steak was just right as were the rest of the dinner...certainly a return odyssey for us three, with total recommendation for any one wishing to delight in a splendid feast for all senses. Bravo Artisan !!!

    Very nice dinner overall— a great bar dinning room for pre-Christmas however they have a large TV on at all times which is completely out of character for the vibe of the room —no one is watching it except the staff and it really detracts from the experience—ditch the TV—at least at dinner—this is not a sports bar
