I absolutely loved the food here! Everything was so delcious! Hog wings, tuna tartar, pork dumplings and oh my the chocolate cake! Couldn’t ask for better food! I only tried the Eleanor’s smash drink which was really good! Staff was friendly as well as attentive but not overly attentive which is exactly how it should be. I can’t wait to come back!
I was disappointed by the waitstaff. She was dismissive and not helpful. I normally don’t comment on the waitstaff but I was particularly disappointed. We were trying to share a number of dishes, one being ramen, and they didn’t even have a real bowl or spoon. The ramen was bland. I was not pleased with my experience for Mother’s Day.
We went to Article 24 for brunch and the food was very tasty. Good value for the drinks we got as well. One suggestion would be to expand the parking lot or potentially move it to make it more accessible. Overall good atmosphere and food, will definitely go again!
The food was good...pub grub. There was 10 of us for a special occasion. The service was pretty awful...very disorganized and confused waiter, maybe it was his first week on the job.
I’ve been here a few times before and always had a great experience. The food is great and the service usually good and everyone is very friendly. But this time once we were seated I️t took about 20 minutes before anyone even came over to our table. Once the waitress finally came over she was not friendly or attentive at all. After we ordered she only came back to our table once when we had to flag her down to get the check. I️ had to wave over waiters when we needed more sauce or water. Every time we asked for something I️t seemed like a huge inconvenience which made this whole experience pretty uncomfortable. I️ understand if you’re busy and have a lot customers but it’s completely different if you’re straight up rude the only two times I️ interact with you. This was really disappointing since we usually have a great time here.
Noisy Sunday and one of our party got sick 3 hours after eating the fish tacos. Won’t be back.
Nice spot. We enjoyed the Mexican dishes and pizza—. Got the impression that they could’ve used a couple more wait staff.
I’m not sure if our server was having a bad day or what (I like to give people the benefit of the doubt) but she made our experience a negative one. She was rude, inattentive and the furthest thing from friendly. She wrote down my order incorrectly (it happens, no biggie) but was unapologetic and seemed annoyed at the inconvenience it caused her to have to fix it. I had to literally wave her to come over 3 separate times and it wasn’t that busy. It’s too bad because we were really excited to try this place. On a more positive note, the food was pretty good, but probably won’t be back.
Went by on early Saturday night as in the area with family. Beer selection very good (though out of the Hawaiian beer) and cocktails were modest but nice. Apps (mac and cheese fritters and Brussel sprouts) were excellent and the entrees (fish/chips, steak tips and crab cakes) were good as well. Waitress was helpful with order issues.
Cozy with great drinks! Wait staff was a bit slow to respond, but all pitched in to help others. Would visit again.
I really love Article 24 for their quality of food, drinks specials and affordable prices. The space is great for watching sporting events but very loud if trying to have genuine conversations with friends over brunch. Overall, a great place and a great experience, but I do wish there were a bit more options as far as food goes and better acoustics.
Article 24 is a great addition to the Allston/Brighton area. Food is creative and varied so most will find something to like! Laura is a super server and very attentive to customer needs without having to flag her down!
Really mixed reaction to our dinners on Saturday night. Our server was extremely friendly and helpful, portions were large and the salads and entrees, specifically the gnocchi and salmon, were better than expected for a sports bar-type eatery. However, the mac & cheese tasted worse than out-of-the-box and the fish of the fish and chips was extremely salty. Finally, the noise level was truly bothersome. Probably fine for a big, rowdy group but if you want to have a pleasant, relaxing dinner, I wouldn’t recommend Article 24.
I had never been seated in the basement before. It was a wonderful secluded area and we had the most wonderful and friendly waitress. Natalia was very attentive and made our experience that much better- thank you!
Nice neighborhood go to spot. Have been a few times. Always go around the same time (5:15ish). Not sure how crowded it gets later in the evening. We’re typically in and out in an hour. It’s never been crowded when we go. Would think it will be busier once the weather starts to break. Always a younger crowd around the bar. Nice bar scene. Food has always been solid. Service this time was great. Been spotty in the past. Kids love the Ramen on the menu. Mac and Cheese bites are a great appetizer.
Great local spot for getting a bite with friends. Simple good food that is well prepared. Easy parking. I recommend the Ramen noodle dish w/ vegetables and chicken. My 20+ year old nephew thought it was a great place to bring friends with a good vibe. I'm double his age and appreciate a good quick meal spot to eat and converse.
I thought the food was great. The manager was warm and friendly and I appreciated the atmosphere. Overall, my experience was a great one and I will be back.
Food was delicious and the restaurant was beautiful. Service was very slow because there were only 2 servers for the whole place, and the restaurant was packed.
Two downsides that are the reason I took one star off rating:
1) Menu selection is limited
2) Portions kinda small
That being said, I ordered Thai chicken tacos and I was very pleasantly surprised. They were delicious! As a matter of fact, everyone at my table thoroughly enjoyed their meal. I will definitely return (but maybe order an additional appetizer or salad ....).
Disappointed. We had been here previously and it was very good. This visit, however, was way off. I don't know if there was a problem in the kitchen, but it was at least 45 minutes for 2 salads and a burger on a Sunday during lunchtime. The order wasn't quite right as well. And it's not like the place was totally packed and the orders were backed up. Sorry, won't be returning.
This is our favorite restaurant, we have never had a bad experience here. The wait staff is always so friendly and the food always comes out great! Highly recommend this place!
First was introduced to this place because of the taco restaurant in the basement. Decided to try the full restaurant because of the great food options and the ability to order tacos off the other menu. Went on Thursday (karaoke night), which was a blast. Brussels sprouts are maybe the best item on the menu. Or maybe the fried fluffernutter sandwich with Nutella. Can't decide. Either way, great spot. Will definitely return for another lovely dining experience.
Food was delicious and environment was fun. Service was not the best, though. Waiter rolled his eyes at me when I put in an addition to our order, and took our plates away before we were finished eating.
Great for get-togethers. Millenial-Friendly. If you're on a date, you would be hard-pressed to hear yourself think much less to hear what your date has to say. I could barely hear my friends talk.
Food was decent. The much-hyped Mac Fritters and Mac and Cheese appetizers were just that: hype. I was disappointed on how luke warm the dish was. I was expecting piping hot mac and cheese inside. However, it was borderline warm/cold.
I had the crispy chicken. It was good.
Would I come back, I probably would be open to checking out other restaurants in the vicinity.
Natalia was one amazing server, she was very nice sweet she was always there as asked and very loyal. She deserved a nice tip to my desgression!
Article 24 is a much-better-than-average sports bar. The menu has attractive and tasty options and the service is friendly and attentive. This is a great upgrade for Allston-Brighton.
Great service, wonderful waitress.
Nice enough ambiance but small so up against a date couple which was less ideal for them (tables literally 2 inches apart)
Food tasty. We got a variety of appetizers (tuna tartare, calamari), burger, paella, chicken, and dessert (their special with peanut butter and Fluff). All great. Would go back. Weekly night specials worth checking out. Off street parking available.
Ambience was great. Food was mediocre.
Loved this spot! A fun addition to Brighton’s restaurant scene, can’t wait to go back!
We always sit at the bar, the service is always spot on. I've only ever eaten the Thai chicken tacos since they opened, but tried the spicy chicken ramen this time, and wow was it flavorful and delicious. They also do a paired beer and a shot, we get the "Southie" a tall boy Bud Light and a shot of Irish whiskey and it's only 8 bucks. We love this place and highly recommend it.
Pretty disappointed in the food - ordered nachos for an appetizer, which had queso that was of Tostito queso quality. Ordered a cheese pizza for dinner, which looked and tasted exactly like an Elios frozen pizza. Waitress did not seem that interested in being our server. We asked for a minute with the menu and she gave us about 10. Overall pretty disappointed in this experience and quality of food.
It was good enough to return to while visiting the city.
We dined in the Tequila Lounge downstairs. Waitress was very knowledgeable and recommended some great picks that we went with. Margaritas were on point as well as the tacos. We finished our meal off with a dessert of fried fluff, Yum! Will definitely be back.
We had hoped for a genuine gastropub experience. The good beer, nice bartenders and comfort food almost made up for it.
Fun funky place, only caveat is you are literally sitting on top of each other.
Have been to Article 24 a few times. Seems to have a slipped a bit since first visit. Service is average. Food continues to be very good, but I’ll take great service and good food over great food and fair service. Every time we’ve been it’s been relatively empty, so I really don’t understand why service isn’t better.
Had a 7:45 reservation for 4 on 12/26/17. Restaurant wasn't super busy, but seemed very understaffed. Arrived on time, no one acknowledged us when we walked in, waited about 5 minutes and finally went and found someone to seat us. We were given water (in dirty, smudged glasses), menus and silverware. The server introduced herself and never returned. After about 10-15 minutes, we left and went someplace else!
The ambiance was great. The food was better then expected especially the salmon. This was my second time going in a matter of two weeks so that goes to show its worth it.
