Arte e pasta
Returning to fresh pasta at the end of may.
Arte e pasta is an Italian sharing plate restaurant, that uses ingredients imported from Slow Food producers throughout Italy, by the food wholesaler, The Chefs Deli.
Whilst its sister restaurant, Bombetta London in Wanstead (next to Snaresbrook underground Station) focuses on Italian grill, the main feature here is fresh pasta.
The restaurant doubles as a gallery, managed by Wood Street Walls, who facilitated an amazing mural on the front of the building. It is a skip and a hop from the delights of the famous neon collection at Gods Own Junk Yard, Pillars Brewery, Mothers Ruin Distillery, Wild Card Brewery tap room; the wider vibrant Walthamstow Village area. Located under a 10 minute walk from both Wood Street Station and Walthamstow Central, come by train, enjoy the wine list, craft beers on tap and creative cocktail menu.

Amazing food, amazing wine and amazing service. Cannot recommend the experience enough! The mozzarella is like nothing I’ve ever had before.
Everything was nice, apart from the food (overcooked chicken, fairly thick and bland pasta dish) and the price for the meal.
I have been many times since the end of the lockdown, and I have to say this is one of the best place to eat in Walthamstow.
The food is fresh, and delicious, they are sourcing very good products. They are very on page for allergy and intolerance.
The staff is very accommodating, friendly, always helpful.
Amazing food, wine & service. Our new favourite E17 haunt! Will definitely be returning and bringing all of my friends.
Rarely write reviews but this was absolutely faultless - so glad I live locally so I can visit time and time again. Everything we ate was absolute delicious and the outside seating is lovely.
45 minutes for drink to be served foccacia was bread soaked in olive oil with no peppers or anchovies. After feeding back to the manager and cancelling other orders, she was very nice and tried to rectify - drinks were on the house. Unfortunately other kitchens were closed so we couldn't get dinner so our child free night for dinner wasnt as ideal. Great to see a new local place opened though. Couple leaving said over priced and ravioli was under Al dente - the crunch was challenging (which we ordered so greatful for the info), they said bloody mary was spicy and good. Drinks we had were great when they came. Waitress needs training slightly on the unapproachable and overwhelmed side. Seabass was unavailable on ordering but looked good, steak looked good too.
Overall underwhelming and disappointing for the aesthetics and potential for our experience but other customers who had the food looked happy
Great food and atmosphere. Service was brilliant. Will be coming back!
Delicious food but the service was terrible. We had to ask (and chase) for everything from menus, water, drinks, the bill.
The toilets had no toilet paper (this was rectified quickly when I asked) or soap (only abtibac) and the bins were overflowing.
Waitress seemed very frazzled and said they'd been super busy that day. Shame they were so understaffed because the food was great!
We sat outside in the alley section which we loved as it was tucked away from passing cars. It was a warm summer evening and it felt like we were on holiday.
The staff were absolutely lovely.
We were disappointed that one of the vegan dishes had sold out as it meant we ate a lot of aubergine instead! But we like aubergine so that’s not so bad!
I’d happily come here for date night too, the staff let us sit and enjoy our wine until the very end of the evening. Just perfect
First time here and it didn’t disappoint. The food is absolutely delicious, a real slice of Italy in Walthamstow. Highlights included the olive tapenade, lobster ravioli and beef ragu. Not one to miss!
What a lovely evening! The food did not miss once on flavour! Our server Jojo was so warm, welcoming and friendly. Her suggestions for which plates we might like were spot on and it was lovely to hear about her connection to the food. We wanted to leave her a tip but unfortunately they can only accept cash tips and we didn’t have any on us last night. Next time!
Nice but overpriced. Service was slow. Food was nice
Our hostess was absolutely lovely-very welcoming and helpful.
The restaurant was open, bright, airy and nicely decorated and kitted out.
The food was tasty but it wasn't cheap and the portions, considering they are for sharing, were not ample.
We had an issue with one pasta dish which was dealt with apologetically, without any issue whatsoever and the dish was remade. This was very much appreciated.
Stunning food, delicious taste combinations, interesting but not wacky. The staff were lovely too. I almost don't want to recommend it so we can always get a table...
Delicious food that arrived at the perfect pace to take in the relaxed ambience and savour the delicious cocktails and wine. The attention to detail and service from staff was impeccable. Can't wait to return!
very special - original choices made with amazing ingredients - lovely staff and venue with an outdoor!
This place is amazing, the food is wonderful. It uses fresh and quality ingredients and some intelligent ideas. I can't wait to go again!
Fantastic experience. Great quality ingredients, friendly service and nice space
This place is a MUST try - the food is delicious, the wine amazing and the location fantastic!
Delicious food and a lovely little restaurant- quite a varied menu.
Bit pricey but outstanding quality of food and drinks. I will definitely come back.
Another fantastic meal outstanding service. 5* well deserved. Will be back soon.
Had a really nice night at Arte e Pasta! So amazing to have such a great quality restaurant in E17! Loved the food and the atmosphere. Really fun vibe.
Really delicious. Went with 3 friends and able to try lots of the menu. Pasta dishes were outstanding and the wine list is great. Can't wait to go again! Staff super friendly and knowledgeable too.
Service great, ambiance great.
Prices a bit hight and dishes quite small.
Overall a good experience, would recommend if you're in Walthamstow :)
Great food, great service. Will definitely be back.
Amazing interior and great staff, very helpful and friendly.
The food was all good, however it is good, not amazing and doesn’t quite hold the quality for the price level. 16 pounds for a very small bowl of pasta felt very steep considering what you can get at Padella and Pastaio for around the same price or much cheaper and tastier.
I think if they reduced the prices by 15/20% it would be much more appropriate for the amount and quality level.
Second visit here. Food is really nice. Very fresh and good flavours.
I was so pleased with this meal at Arte e Pasta. Genuinely one of the best restaurant I've been to for a very long time. Gorgeous and audacious combinations of high quality ingredients, great staff. A delightful experience on all levels.
Great sharing menu! We had the ricotta and anchovy toast, mussel pasta and steak. All fantastic and just about right portion wise. Friendly staff. Excellent Primativo with the meat!
Delicious Italian food in the heart of Walthamstow.
Lovely food, very unique, and I’m not even talking about the hospitality which is special
A wonderful trip to Arte e Pasta. Everything was delicious. The Gnocchi was way too spicy for me and my partner and without us asking they took it off the bill. A very kind gesture.
Will be going back for sure.
Great food in a lovely atmosphere. By the far the best and most original pasta I’ve had in London.
The service left a little to be desired and could be more attentive.
Absolutely delicious Italian sharing plates prepared with the very best produce. Including antipasti, pasta, seafood and in-season veg, the hardest part is choosing what to order! The staff are friendly and attentive, and the setting is relaxed. It’s in a slightly pricier ££ bracket but for the exquisite produce and exceptional cooking it’s worth every penny.
wonderful food - portion size extremely generous! will definitely be going back. The goats cheese sharer was insane!
Great to have Arte e pasta on our doorstep. Lovely dinner, the fish was excellent, next time we’ll ask for the pasta to be cooked a little longer but thoroughly enjoyed it.
Spacious venue and friendly atmosphere without being too casual with quality food but not overwhelming menu. Perfect for friends, family treat, will visit again very soon.
Really good lunch! Great flavours and would go again!
Lovely meal and service for our anniversary. Recommended highly!
